- I'm not a master polisher, just a student of it and here's the process I use to stay shined up through the winter months of the Midwest!
The BEST way to get shine out of your aluminum is to keep it on a regular polishing maintenance routine. Like most things in life, there's many ways to reach a destination; some better than others. Here's the process I use and maybe you choose different methods or products; that's TOTALLY cool! Use what works for you. If we all try helping one another, we can all improve our skills and efficiency instead of tearing each other down & giving the industry(s) a bad name.
Do I make mistakes & can I improve? Absolutely!! So come learn with me as I grow. I'll share things I've learned from experience or from other professional polishers.
I want to HIGHLY recommend going to watch @EvanStegerMetalPolishing how-to polishing videos. Not only has he taught me a lot about metal polishing, his family-owned small business in Wisconsin goshineon.com sells THE BEST materials I've ever used. His shop Evan's Detailing and Polishing not only keeps their customer's trucks shined up, but offers training courses for polishing for those of us who want to up their game or start their own polishing businesses.

I use the Makita ga 7021 6000rpm grinder and the Makita 9927c 3500 variable speed grinder
my palm sander is a 25 year old Porter Cable.
All my sandpaper, buffs, rouge, and hand polish is Time2Shine Products available at goshineon.com

Nyce job so how can mix the paint
Looks great, it's a labor of love for your equipment.
Did a great job for a working truck. Started this ride when we mostly had steel tank. Plus saved yourself a grand or so. God bless 🙏
Thanks for the video, I learned a lot and enough to know I will hire it done by a professional
Master or not, that looks amazing.
perfectly result look like professional polish.
Looks great
Maybe weld in a thick aluminum strap where the bands contact the fuel tanks. I did that on mine because corrosion can eat away on your tanks under your tank straps from all the sand and salt and de-icer that is on the road. Polish and lipstick is nice but making it durable is king.
Looks great. I’ve used baby powder after I was done on a terry cloth and hand polish everything I’ve done again as a final stage/ step. You’d be surprise how much residue it removes. It gives it a deeper cleaner reflection as well.
Dumb
Nice
Did you take Evan's class or did you just watch his videos
Damn that looks sharp sir!
Looks good, I learned from Evan as well. Quick question for you what Program to you use to edit videos, looking for some options before I spend 300 Dollars on one?
