I don’t quite understand the comments. He’s underage, he’s literally a child still, posing as 19, meeting strangers on the internet. It’s so dangerous, not to mention illegal. Imagine meeting someone online and seeing them in person and seeing a child, that leaves you open to serious liability, not even the worse scenario, he could be taken advantage of so easily. Instead it’s all “the teachers are overreacting”.

It's wonderful that he feels so comfortable wearing makeup and being himself. When I was in high school abut 25 years ago, I remember children with characteristics like this were mercilessly teased and beaten up. He enjoys such acceptance. I am glad that they're confronting him about being on Tinder, because he is putting himself in real danger of being exploited by an older person

Just because you excel in creative subjects doesn’t mean you can’t do well in Maths. In the UK, you have to get a grade C (or the number equivalen) in Maths or you’re unlikely to get a good job, even in the arts industries. In addition, if students don’t achieve their target grades, the teachers can get their salaries lowered so they have to stern with them.

Bro, whenever I watch things like this where a teacher is fear-mongering about how GCSEs are some colossal task that affects you forever, it makes me anxious. I was so carefree about 'revising' and got my As. I probably only did well because I wasn't stressed, If someone was up my ass like this I would have freaked out as a teenager. yikes
I ALWAYS tell younger kids that GCSE do not affect your life the way teachers make you think they will.
They want good marks for the school they dont care about kids mental health.
Most colleges will let you into a higher level courses for less than the asking marks as long as you re-take the exam so theres literally NO pressure.
Even if everything goes to shit and you flunk them all, there are always alternative routes you can go down. Access to Higher Education courses are available for adults who want to go to university but don't have the "traditional" qualifications. The Prince's Trust offers an amazing programme which gives young people who are out of work or education the job searching skills, confidence and help with English and Maths that they may need to re-enter education or find work. It honestly angered me a bit when I saw children on the news this year complaining that the corona virus has "spoiled their chances" or whatever else because their GCSEs have been downgraded. GCSEs are by no means the be all and end all in life. If you've got any at all, be grateful.
