I was so badly behaved at school (literally as soon as I walked in I'd get suspended) I'm really not proud of it but I was so suicidal, I was badly suffering and the littlest things would make me kick off and lose it. I'm not proud of it in the slightest but I had other problems that I couldn't talk to anyone about. I do keep in touch with my old school and explained everything and looking forward to going back and apologising properly and stuff.
I did actually have a really good bond with a lot of my teachers, I just couldn't open up.
I'm not saying its the same for everyone else but idk

His mum basically sets no boundaries at home so he thinks he's in charge and king of the world. So when he goes to school he's still under the impression he can do what he wants and his actions have no consequences, and when people tell him off he can't comprehend why people keep telling him off and thinks he's being attacked so he lashes at really quickly when people try tell him what to do. He needs his mum to put more effort into disciplining him and take a stand, and be very consistent. This is probably really hard for her because she's a single mum with a ton of responsibilities, but that is the only thing that will work. Teachers all too often look at the kid and just tell him, "You need to good now yeah. Stop being naughty. Be a different kid now." And its all just hot air, his natural conscience which indicates our brain how to behave hasn't being nurtured properly and he can't change it by just being asked to.

That teacher is brilliant, his mum is great and his sister is so caring it’s crazy. Hope that kid grows up and stops pissing about
something here stood out to me the same way it did when i was in school. the teachers focus on the wrong thing. the teacher was listening to a student tell him how he felt he was being picked on by teachers, and the only thing the teacher commented on was “his name is mr chambers, not just chambers”. they don’t talk to us about the right thing, and in this situation, was just telling off (though lightly) and already distressed kid.
doesn’t matter what the kid did or didn’t do, if they’re distressed and you only pick up on something not even relevant, it’s going to do nothing but impact them negatively, because you’re not helping.

In my school, these teachers wouldn’t last. My grade got one teacher fired, one quit, and we’ve ran away several subs.
The Head didn't last long either. Did a google search and found out he quit as he felt that the Salford council disliked him and had a "vendetta" against him.
@@thomasbartlett5492 No he didn't last long at all, (despite holding the post since September 2004) - effectively he was caught kicking pupils who had no chance in hell of doing well in their GCSEs out the day before study leave started, and making them do the exams as private candidates so that their low results would not be counted in the school stats (as such making the schools results appear fantastic across the board). As Ofsted strictly forbids this (it's called off-rolling), and it is grounds for dismissal, he got suspended pending an investigation, and then resigned. I think this is because getting fired would get him struck off (so he would never be able to work in a school again), as such that resignation is likely an admission that the allegations were true.
