Don't use Tamiya with Vallejo. It's never good to mix manufacturers. Vallejo secret sauce: 70% Flow Improver 30% Thinner 10% Retarder 2% IPA Then mix 2 parts paint to 3 parts sauce.
@TryptychUK metal color is different to their other paint lines - it can handle alcohol. Same guy you got that thinner mix from also uses 50/50 x-20A with metal color. Results are beautiful.
No mention of thinning. I mix 60% paint with 20%thinner and 20% flow improver. Lots of light dustings. It looks like your air pressure is too high. The Vallejo Metal range is good, but if you need to tweak it, they do a metallic black which can help darken it without reducing the metallicity.
Thanks for this, including the "deliberate mistake". Really helpful for me😊😊
Used these for ages and I brush paint. They are so easy to use.
Smoother and less grainy result when thinned with X-20A. Thanks AreWeThereYetModeling.

Try getting back from the surface when you’re spraying. You’re way too close.
