You can keep the metallic luster through the more matte of the inks by adding either: Vallejo Gloss Varnish 70.510 or Vallejo Metal Varnish 26.657 to your game colour inks as a thinner, in addition to the water or flow aid. If you are finding the inks hard to control this can also give them a better grip to the surface. If your inks or metallics are not laying down properly and forming little puddles you can't control, add some Vallejo airbrush thinner (yep works with a brush as well) to act as a surfactant and break the paints surface tension.
Fantastic tutorial and outstanding paint job. I recently colected all of the metal colors from AV and waiting on game color inks. The metal finishes are supper rich and the best ive used so far compared to other products. Un saludo especial a mis amigos aya en españa desde los estados unidos. Muchas gracias por producir tan buena linea de materiales para contunuar ayundo a personas comos yo seguir su passion en el mundo increible de miniaturas! 🙏
Any description on how much you thin your paints. As some already said, somehow I get a different finish by brushing on my Vallejo Metal paints. And how much water to the inks?
Love vallejo paints. Their coverage properties are incredible (with a minor exeptions as i had some problems with yellow). Great tutorial, surely gonna use it.
Not with this one but if you search in our channel you'll find several videos explaining how to paint a 54mm face from Jaume Ortiz and other two of How to paint woman and man faces with airbrush by Angel Giraldez :)
Would this work on smooth plastics? Want to try this on a full-size plastic gun and thought this would be a nice change to dry brushing metallics onto matte black
Yes, this works on plastic, but do not forget to prime first of all. Without primer the paints won't stay. You can use our Aerosol Primer for large surfaces: acrylicosvallejo.com/en/producto/uncategorized/white-primer-28010/. Regards!
Puedes dar algunos toques con tinta pura pero lo normal son diluirlas para ir consiguiendo poco a poco, pincelada a pincelada, el efecto que buscas, ya que son colores con mucha potencia de pigmento :)
Well, I agree with you - the metallic paint is great, but way too many color washes. The final result looks like heavily hammered iron, without much of the color showing through.

Vallejo Metal Color is the best metallic (and it's acrylic paint)! The pigment is not visible at all! Thank you very much for your product!

Everyone has problems with yellow, no matter the brand.
The soldiers face is fantastic. Is there a tutorial for it?

Hey guys, how would I achieve a similar effect with gold?
Las tintas se Dan tal como salen de bite o las diluyes?

is there a difference between the val 77725 and this one?
do you seal the paint? looks really good
Thank you so much this helps mediocre modellers like myself alot!!!
What brushes are being used?
what's the difference between Game Ink and Game Shade? thx
Nice result :) Vvvvvvvvvvv
This paint works very well and its color is fantastic. The only downside is you can't dry brush it.
It's not the same product, but you can try our metallic Model Color references for dry brushing :)
Excelente!
Metal Colour never brushes in like that for me.
Fantastic
Muito bom!
Love it!
7 people don't like Roman helmets apparently.

Having trouble selling game color inks or something?
And ONLY eleven Vallejo products used.
If you want to make an omelette you gotta break a few eggs

LMAO how many vallejo products can you fit in one tutorial? Watch Not Just Macro to get similar effect with maybe 1/3 of the paints...
Long life our wide range of available colors and references! 😊
use metal color = big error
