Great video. More people need to understand basic maintenance.

and what about high pressure? how does it work when my car say i gat high pressure?
how the sensor signal work with high?

Question, where does the pressure come from? I took mine out and put a small wire into the block and all I felt was a solid mass. Is there a small pinhole or something the pressure comes from? My light stays on until my engine gets hot, then turns off. New rebuilt engine also. Thanks for the tutorial. 👍

Hello Don! The oil is sen to this point by a passageway that is no always straight where a opening can be fitted with a wire. This opening is just for pressure straight from the oil pump. If your car delays on turning the light on the oil pressure until it get hot, area things can be happening. The oil sensor might be getting stuck. The oil pump might no be developing enough pressure soon. One thing you can do to verified if pressure is being made, is to put a a pressure tester and see if pressure is normal in the engine. If pressure is normal or good pressure is made, then the sensor is the cause of this light staying on until hot. Take well care Don!

@@elchanojose4633 Actually my light stays on from the start until hot. I was just wondering if there may be a small pinhole where the oil is sent to the OPS? Something's clogged I think. OPS works, tested with a multimeter. The wires are fine. This all started right after they put in a newly rebuilt engine. No codes from the engine either. Engine temp is fine, no metal on metal sounds, it just slowly starts flickering then goes out eventually. Thanks, El Chano Jose! 👍

Sounds like the pressure builds up slower that normal. If you want to go an extra step on testing the port. Install a fitting with a plastic tubbing to see and test how much oil comes out into a container when the motor is turned on. But like we mentioned, this is an extra step to see the amount of oil that comes out from that port. If you do this, make sure to have another person turning the key or holding the tubbing into the container. But as you mentioned, all looks normal is just that the light turns off slowly and takes time. What car is this for?

@@elchanojose4633 Thanks, man. I have a 1990 Toyota pickup 4X4 DLX. I don't think any oil comes out of that port, that's why I think there's a small clog. When I changed the OPS yesterday it didn't look like there was oil on it at all. I've changed it twice and no oil came out either time. I was told at Midas it wouldn't leak, or very little will come out. I don't have much testing equipment to do it myself. Going back to Midas Monday, still under warranty. Really appreciate your help!
