it makes iron oxide into Iron phosphate - basically encases iron in a coating that cant rust - POR 15 is simialr, with its metal ready prep so is Passino Paints, phosphate wash, a local company to Albany NY/ if I win, I will use it on the floor pans I just installed in a 64 vw bug
I need this for my Clio....you saw the welding vid last year......cheers mate. Now I remember this from college...amazing eh! Rust is a chemical reaction with oxygen and steel, which forms Magnetic Oxide of Iron...e g rust. The chemicals in these products, metal paints, waxoil etc stop this and go a small way to reversing it.....hence why they do work. There ya go :)
