      Prepped everything this eve'. Tomorrow will put all together. I did not mix mushrooms/onions, etc., to rice, tho. Will pile up as needed. I am using sockeye salmon. I have to figure how to get the skin off the fish. Yuck. Thank you.@@TatyanasEverydayFood

    I made this dish several times and it’s LIFE CHANGING! I have never tried it made by someone else, so I don’t know what it’s meant to taste like. But I followed this recipe exactly and the flavours are mind blowing. It’s the perfect balance between savoury, sweet, salty and a bit sour from the lemon/wine sauce. Interestingly it looks amazing so it can be served on special occasions, it also tastes suitable for special occasions (especially since it’s something that would allow you to show off a little bit 😌), yet the flavours and textures are very comforting. PERFECTION!

    Good advice about assembling it on the pan! Don't learn the hard way. It's too heavy to move easily once it's assembled. Using a silpat (maybe parchment) makes the baked coulibiac easier to remove too.

    Татьяна! Огромное спасибо за подробный рецепт. Мой муж попросил меня приготовить кулебяку, я была страшно удивлена, откуда американец узнал про нее, сейчас и русские-то редко, кто знает... Поискала в сети рецепты и остановилась на Вашей версии. Сегодня пол-дня провела у плиты, но кулебяка превзошла все ожидания, она получилась чудесной, мы даже празднично накрыли стол для "её величества"))) У меня возник один вопрос, было очень трудно смазывать лосось ароматным маслом, масло не цеплялось за рыбу как у Вас , пришлось помучиться, не могли бы Вы подсказать в чем причина. Рыбу я, предварительно, хорошо высушила бумажным полотенцем.

    • @TatyanasEverydayFood
      @TatyanasEverydayFood  3 роки тому

      Здравствуйте!! Спасибо вам огромное за такое доброе сообщение! Я очень рада слышать что вам рецепт понравился. Если ароматные масло не пристает к ребе, то нужно взять кусочек салфетки(paper towel) и рыбу немножко высушить, убрать все влажность. Масло тогда будет лучше цепляться. :)

    Thanks for the recipe. I have had to freeze it before cooking as I'm using it in the next few days. How long should I cook it to ensure that its cooked through and not having burnt pastry? Should I cook from frozen or defrost it first?

    • @TatyanasEverydayFood
      @TatyanasEverydayFood  3 роки тому

      You're very welcome! I've never frozen this pastry before but you should be able to bake it from the freezer. I would reduce the oven temperature down by 10 degrees, to let the filling cook as well. And you'll need to bake it for longer. If the pastry dough gets too dark, try tenting it with foil.
