The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has tons of amazing mechanics in it that people are still stumbling upon years later. Situations that rarely happen and often show just how clever the developers were. Well in this Zelda video... This is not the case. Because we're forcing the game to run a scenario that would never normally happen with BOTW. Let's see what happens when we invade Gerudo Town!

Awesome Video
Hi
Good
Ok
In contrast to Link, they simply know how to behave.
"You can hear the guardian getting hit by what sounds like almost a hundred attacks."
We can?

He’s talking about when you do it yourself in game (which you actually can)
And that's why being a part of the invasion of Gerudo Town will always be one of my Pixel Portals.
I’ll never get tired of these comments.
@@SwankyBox I feel so appreciated right now.
*Enemies gang up on and knockout npcs while Link does nothing*
Swanky:That's pretty neat
the reason for that is because if the player actualy does something there the enemy and the npc instandly ignore each other for some reasons
@@drmedicechsrick8702 yeah I know
interesting to note that these enemies don't seem to drop anything. you can get food or elixirs from the npcs after killing the enemies though.
@@Kobolds_in_a_trenchcoat Yeah, but a couple of NPCS will stiff you
I wonder if there are areas like that that aren't towns or cities, spiecal "no agro" zones that make enemies stop what they're doing
“When you’re in a town… you’re safe.”
- RTGame
@@samboi123 *cities: Skylines flashbacks* LIES!!!!
@@Kobolds_in_a_trenchcoat No, he specifically says that in the BotW playthrough.
Tarrey Town, before its built, counts. But that's because a town is going to be built there.
I'd bet Satori Mt.
I would've totally invited a Lynel into town.
i had a feeling that there was something that was keeping enemies passive when they got near places like stables. maybe try removing the passive barrier thing with a mod and then see what happens.
Yeah, I just had a horde of bats come near me, but I was near a stable, and was surprised how quickly they turned away...then I saw I was at the stable and went "Ah, right, stable".
@@richardmahn7589 I guess you can say that it helped make a chaotic situation far more... stable. Ok, I'll see myself out.
@@cabbage2329 Just get out, and stay out! You no longer can come back to the stable!
@@richardmahn7589 you can always stasis one of the Keese so long as you have Stasis+, and the whole flock will flee in fright, easy as that
Does this still happen even if you spawn Ganon?
thonking...
Yes, the blights and calamity ganon still do attack the player. However, they do not attack npcs because they were not coded to.
That ending gave me an idea. What would happen if you had a bunch of Cuccos during the Calamity Gannon fight? I would love to see thousands of chickens beat reincarnated evil.
someone called gamechamp 3000 or something like that tried it a while ago and the cuccos just despawned
You got it right toward the end, "The Guardian was blind to Link's movements." The thing about enemies (other than the bosses like the Stone Talus, it seems, which you showed) is that it doesn't matter where they are so much as it does where Link is. Link is invisible to enemies when inside a safe zone (like a town). However, if you put a Guardian in that same safe zone and let Link walk outside it, the Guardian will no longer be blind to his movements and can still aggro normally from within the safe zone.
You can test this out if you, for example, kite a Guardian to a stable. Even though the Guardian will be in the safe zone, and will not aggro even if Link is right in front of its eye (as Link would also be in the safe zone), if Link walks out of the safe zone and, for example, whistles to draw the Guardian's attention, the Guardian will still aggro once it spots Link.
This feels like when your dream's about to get interesting but keeps looping right before the action starts
I did not know that I needed to know the Answer to this lol thanks ❤️ keep up the amazing work
I know right? As soon as I saw it, it was an immediate click lol
@@snoopii2507 Yeah.
It's always fun seeing wacky things like this.
if only these towns just used these passive enemy behavior trigger points before the calamity
Is there a way to spawn NPCs like you did with the monsters? If so, perhaps you could spawn a bunch of NPCs with weapons like the Gerudo travelers outside of towns so the enemies will actually attack. Then put a guardian to see how they react. Although I'm not sure how NPCs with weapons and guardians interact (my guess is that the guardian will just shoot at you or stay dormant and the NPCs will run in fear), so maybe instead, you could summon a bunch of random monsters to see an all out war between the NPCs and the monsters. Now THAT would be cool to watch!
man, the towns looked so much more lively with these peaceful monsters. they should have made this a thing in the base game too
Can you summon Cuccos around other bosses to get them to kill it?
I wanna know this as well!
But could Ganon invade a Town?
I think that he would try to eat it
Yes but it would probably crash and it couldn’t hurt the npcs along with the blights being the same because they were not coded to because they never do
*Cucos vs Ganon* next maybe?

I don’t know why I found her passing out to be as amusing as I did.
Dude that just savage
Town defense missions like Radiant quests in Skyrim that you can choose to ignore or fight enemies, and eventually build an army to defend would be amazing.
Rewards should be weapons specific to that region built at a blacksmith.
"Metal doomsday spiders," is the best description of a Guardian I've ever heard.
Nintendo (after seeing this): well, at least you get to see them being nice.
Me: not a bad idea
I learned that no matter the gen the ckoockoo are still the most dangerous thing to see
they arent hostile (or at least As Hostile) in Twilight Princess...if you attack a TP Cucco for long enough, youll BECOME that cucco for a few seconds...
@@rtyuik7that actually makes me sad to hear
@@drackoth56 yeah, it was a bit 'underwhelming' (and lets Not talk about how one of the first things i did in TP was find a chicken to attack xD) but at the same time, i kinda like the subversion of the trope...it was a neat little 'easter egg', even if it went against Everything i knew about Cuccos...
Bro really predicted the before temple fight here
Link will smash all your pots but none of the monsters will harm a fly.
Who's the real bad guy here?
"behold, shivering townsfolk! I shall do... absolutely nothing. in fact, I may just take a nap here while this guy by me who can locally teleport tries it but the non hostile barrier is beyond his range so it's just suicide"
why not invade with cuccoos?
The town people be like:
Hey! Hylian vai! Cant you help?
- *shakes head* -
Well shit.
AHHHHHH
Yes! A guardian vs Cuccos! I never even thought about the posibility of that happening, but my man! I loved every second of that footage. Thanks! :D
One time I was able to lure a moblin all the way to Gerudo Town. Somehow he broke past the barrier that prevents him from moving too far away and he followed me halfway across the dessert. He only stopped once I stepped into the village and he immediately despawned despite being really close to me. Upon trying o do this again, I couldn't get this to work because the moblin got stuck at the barrier he is supposed to.
So interesting, thank you for this great experiment!😊👍
Lol, those damned cuccos...the true ultimate power of Hyrule! 🤣🤣🤣
This is great keep it up
knew this already from mety videos, but still interesting!
This game has had a big resurgence lately
well now we gotta see what happens when you put ganon in a town
PBG did that in one of his Hacking BOTW videos, while glorious, he just kinda... stands there
@@nejishadow was just about to say that
The Guardians are glad that someone is submitting to their rule.
Magic antiviolence barriers!
Ok but how did you get those amazing camera shots at the beginning
If war of the worlds taught me anything, birds will save us from AI 😂
Cuccos can destroy guardians? Where were cuccos during the calamity? Hmmm?
Yeah, towns and stables both have that radius of basically disabling enemies' attacking/pathfinding AI. Found that out when I was fleeing a Guardian early in my first playthrough and ran into a stable and saw that the Guardian's AI immediately turned off as soon as it got close.
The neutral zone in breath of the wild
Chickens definitely don’t go by there namesake cowards they are not they are the most deadliest force in hyrule don’t mess with these mafia birds
Spawn cocos in ganon battle
I wish stuff like this could happen naturally like a small bokoblin attack on a horse outpost
Take the chicken to the Calamity Gannon fight.
lmao, death by cuccos!
Now have chickens fight ganon!
Wow! That's so cool!
Just wiped out Gerudo Town.
I've been looking for an excuse to make that (incredibly stupid) joke for a while now.
They just really wanted to move into the town I guess!
u can lead a horse to water but u can't make him drink but he sure can swim in it
What would happen if you put Ganon or his other forms in a town? Do they act differently because they are big bosses?
Now put them in the Yiga Clan hideout.
How funny is it, that in totk we got a gerudo town seige XD
#1 Victory Royale
Yeah Ganon we bout to get down (get down)
10 kills in the map right now
Just wiped out Gerudo Town
Maybe…
Edit: This is actually a really funny video, thank you
It would be cool if monsters would actually attack towns and its warriors would move out to fight them. In Breath of the Wild 2 maybe?
Link: If i could enter the town theeeeeen i whould help you.
No way I tried standing in the water fall around the corner I mean I couldn’t see myself and yet soon as I changed clothes it threw me out
Try thins in Loren village your horse can run in the village maybe it will work and attack.
U can lead a horse to water, but u can't launch it with stasis...... Lol
I have absolutely no idea what’s going on, but this is intresting
All bow to the all mighty Cucco!
Well, to be fair, a Guardian isn’t a voe, so they’re allowed according to the rules.
In totk gerudo town is invaded by zombie bug monsters :D
You Forget Bokoblins
What about boss enemies? Would Calamity Ganon or the blights not attack while in the barrier?
How did you do this? Please tell me! This is AMAZING!!!
Making friends with the monsters
If stuff like this intrest you then I recommend the anime Log Horizon.....not a masterpiece but still a fun watch
Next video: Is it possible to beat BotW with only Cuccos as weapons?
Hi swanky!
The most pg invasion ever. I love that.
I've encountered bokoblins sleeping on the side of cliffs like geckos at least 3 times
Is it possible that you're able to edit the game where the towns don't have this protective barrier
I'm sure it's been asked: are the Guardians vai? :P
1:36 *piano music plays*
No freaking wonder they built basically a fort, hylians are insane.
I wonder what would've happened if you spawned a Lynel since they have a different reaction to the masks and eventually agro on you no matter what?
Enemy chill spot.
you know what? i actualy wish like a "monster town" in game 2 will be a thing i mean what better use of that one mask seller is there? if not him trying to make a place for those creatures to come and life a peachfull live i mean that would be cool
There is but one flaw with that plan. All monsters, Yiga included, are minions of Ganon and filled with malice. The concept of 'peace' is so foreign that its practically nonexistent to them.
@@dalejhunter1 your sure there just some "malice energy" those creatures? i mean the malice dit not even exist for times in fact those creature need in fact nutrients like they eat food like everyone else alsol not only that it has been shown times and times again that something like "friendly monsters" exist in the games that can actualy talk in the hylian language even the very first game has done that there are creatures that just want there peace and dont realy want to hurt others at all heck even in botw you may see some small camps that dont look like a base of some sort like some lizalfos just havin some wooden spikes and cookin fish over a fire thats all they realy have they dont even watch out for the area lookin around they realy only get aggressive if they see you maybe thinkin you want to steal tehre hard earned fish not only that if they would realy be just full evil then how come they stop following you at some point? and alsol im sure this (i forgot the english name of the monster mask maker) finds a way to make a place for all those creatures to have a place to find peace
Epic vid
So the calamity coulda been avoid if they just lured ganon to a town XD
What if you modded the game to remove all the immunity areas? Are they hardcoded? That would be fun to see.
Next time we move the npc’s to the monsters
Can you spawn in NPCs in Hyrule Castle?
Prototype 2 theory please
Could you try moving the barrier to a. Different location?
Have you tried spawning cucos into gerudo village?
You should try spawning ganon, mabye hell attck?
There are guardians in gorudo desert? I’ve never seen one in the entire area before
Don’t fuck with cuccoos
swanky box try goblins they fight the vai
5:11 - "it was the most-PG Invasion i had ever witnessed..."
...i dunno, when WCW/ECW 'invaded' the WWF (this was before they became WWE), it was also pretty mild...
Did you run through a fire in Kakariko?
Can the barrier be romeved to eliminate the safe zone? Or is that too complex.
Lol
