    With that clear water it would be cool to see if a drone could spot the fish from above

      Maybe but in person wayer is dirty af

      This water is not dirty in person. Anyways yes, a lot of people have used drones to scout and see if there are schools of jacks or red fish coming down the beach. Wouldn’t be overly helpful on the whiting either

    My last trip to Pensacola, was catching 30 lb Reds free spooling a live bait fish about 10-20 feet off the beach, just let it wash right off the sandbar into the cut in between the sandbar and the beach, soon as the line started taking off, flipped the bail over, circle hook sets the hook for you. Such a simple and fun way to fish. Caught several huge Reds every day.

    I'm always caught out briefly by the different use of terms between yourself and where I live.
    Here, in Queensland, kingfish are things like cobia and amberjack.
    Surf fishing is when the waves are coming directly off the open ocean and not a bay or gulf.
    Gamefish are oceanic species like tuna and marlin.
    It's only a small thing, but I find it interesting having to adjust my thinking to your frames of reference.

      Aloha. Even in the U.S. they use different names for the same fish depending on where you live, so the confusion is understandable.

    Awesome video and you shows how it’s not all going to the water and fish jumping on the hook and having it be kinda slow for you and you being a very good angler is really good it definitely shows the realism of fishing. I can’t imagine all the time you put into your content. Bc I’m sure you have been fishing and almost instantly fish is on the hook
    Then there are times your out there for a good amount of time and nothing happens. Your a good person and very dedicated to brioche best content you can. That why I enjoy it as much a I do

    I fish the Tampa area & have been on the beach a coupla' times in the last two weeks. So far no pomps but the water is about 75. I think it needs to get a bit cooler for them to show up. Got a good blow coming in the next few days so waitin' that out for now. Always enjoy your videos, stay bummy.

    Great day for these days up and down killing whiting but I do mostly catch and release. It's just the fun of catching. Retired Navy 30 years . Fished all over this great planet. Hook them let them produce more just fun. The rule in Australia was if it didn't weigh 20 lbs let it go. At least for our group.

    First off love the videos keep em comin!!! My question is about pompano, I'm fishing matagorda tx this Thanksgiving week, I have a sand flea rake I made 2 of brads ghost shrimp pumps and I have ample fish bites. Is there a specific time of year to catch pompano or conditions? I'm newly back into saltwater fishing and literally just found out about them( from you and Brad and the other 3 guys I subscribed too and after seeing all of you I WANT TO CATCH AND EAT A POMPANO!!! Any tips or tricks I need to know or can I even catch them down there thanks love the videos

    Sir, have you ever actually fished for Pacific Ocean run steelhead? I think "light tackle" would be a bit fun, light tackle means something else here on the west coast. Not to disparage you, or the rod you're using, but fighting a real steelhead is much different on a "light action" rod than the little pomps you're catching there.

    • @adamyoung480
      @adamyoung480 Рік тому

      Aloha. While I agree with you, it’s apples and oranges. I’ve fished the surf where you have no idea what you’ll hook, and also steelhead/salmon where you can target because that’s all that’s running. I think it’s more challenging to land a steelhead for a multitude of reasons.
