Wow! This is the first DIY haircut I've ever seen that uses the same method a stylist would! Every DIY I've ever seen has either used ponytails or pulled the hair forward to cut in the front, and they usually cut on dry hair and hack it all in one big chunk. None actually cut from the back and do section by section, even the professional stylist created tutorials. This is truly how to do a proper haircut on yourself! I love it! Thanks so much for creating this for everyone!
Searched for so many videos to look at so I knew how to cut my hair from behind because I have never cut short hair before. When I had long hair I always cut it by myself. But now I have a pixie cut which I'm waiting to grow out. It had reached the mullet stage so I cut it like she did in this video and it turned out amazing 😍
I was terrified to cut it this short myself (completely different level than just trimming your own long hair) because I once did a face framing butterfly tutorial with ponytails and all and it went soooo wrong omg......my hair is (was) waist length and I just went all in with your tutorial and it turned out AMAZING!!!! Success on the first try ever! Thank you!!!
Finally a well put video with clear directions! The end result is beautiful. Love the timeless and chic look of this cut. Really versatile. Doing this, will go with my hair texture and thickness. It is exactly as shown. Thank youuu!👍💗❤👍🙋🏼♀️🇵🇦🏴🏴
Lina, your DIY haircutting/styling videos are amazing. I have been wearing a pixie cut that I've given myself for a couple of years now following your instructional videos. Now I'm growing out the pixie into a BOB. This video is also amazing. Your videos are clear, precise and you are a pleasure to watch and listen to. Thank you so much for your well-informed tutorials.
Thank you, I am growing out a pixie cut and this is what I'm aiming for. I have beautiful silver hair and I want to rock this cut. Your the best at explaining, I'm going to do this cut.
Wow. Perfect match for my taste, and current goal of growing out my pixie cut!! This video is exactly what I wanted to see! Great job to haircutter. Thank you.
I'm not that bold, I did cut my hair once a long time ago and received numerous compliments when I was asked who cut it and I replied that I did, people didn't believe me, my reply was who's rocking the super cute and cool cut? Not you😂! Great instructions for a DIY cut, I thank you 😊
You did a great job of explaining this, I’m a hairdresser who likes to cut my own hair to. I feel this step by step was exactly what I was looking for thanks I’m off to cut my French Bob
Love this step by step video! I finally found a video I van accomplish😃 I'm excited for this. My hair is nearly identical to yours. I cut my pixie 5 years ago. I've been growing it out. My tail is serious. I cannot wait to try this. I do have a question and that is how can I add volume around the crown? Thank you so much for sharing this. To me, it's absolute gold 💯💋🤌 Xoxoxo
I find it easier to use mirrors front and back. Hanging a full length mirror on a bathroom door if the medicine cabinet faces in the right direction might be helpful. 👍✌️
Oh my gosh Lina I just stumbled onto this channel. First off when you had the Pixie in that picture series in the videos you so owned it, your just beautiful, wow perfect face for basically any style. Love this on you, I love the french bob look and with the side part so sophisticated. I have watched your hair tutorials just awesome. Dang, I wish you were my stylist. I just cut bangs for the first time, and I love them I am going to research your tutorials for bangs because in-between visits to my hairstylist I will have to maintain them. I have a short Bettie Page style bangs
Perfect, well almost perfect. Well done!! This is exactly what I needed to do with my short hair. I don't know how to trim my back hair. I had long to find this kind of video and now I will bring my laptop to the bathroom and watch and cut my hair at the same time. Think I can do it? Thank you so much.
Cant wait to do this ive resisted cutting it and now have a mini mullet goin on 🤨 i feel like cutting the back tho, anyway thanks for all you do Lina, best wishes xx
I want to know your mirror set up. I have been cutting my own hair for decades and use a hand held only when I can grab it. What do you have happening there? It's perfect!
You have such a beautiful face. I also love the haircut. I’m growing out from being bald but my layers are still so short… I might be able to aim for this in the future. I’m just trying to avoid having a mullet and my hair is super thick. This definitely was helpful tips though. I need to do something with my mop head lol
Aww I should have watch this video before this morning my impulsive lip-length blunt bob! Anyway it turned out like... okay? With some mistakes ----- slanted at the back and left side shorter than right side XD
I have the same haircut and would like to try this but I also needed tapered on the sides and the top because I have dry coarse hair that needs to be tapered all the way around
I have naturally really curly hair, I just used the ponytail method in the back and did one chop. I already had layers as well it turned out well, plus I wear my hair curly all the time. I know for myself dividing my hair into too many sections, I will mess up and it will be choppy. I'm a busy mom of 5, so I barely have time for self care. I do the most basic haircut at home, if I want anything specific I go to the salon.
Hi! Thank you! I have like 4x the quantity of hair than you, thick straight, just wondering how I would do it differently from you given that? Would you suggest different pinning for thick hair? Thank you!
I would suggest you take more sections. I mention in the video that if you have thicker hair you need to take smaller and more sections. Here's our FB group if you'd like to join for more tips! facebook.com/groups/6596830316998448
If anything, this video is showing me I should go to a professional only a few minutes in lol! There’s no way I’d be able to get this straight myself haha.
@@sklptdhair thank you. I mean how to style it..my hair is soft and looks dull while I am growing it . I tried using the curling iron but it looked crazy lol
I have found that in shops I pay big bucks to, they don't even spend much time getting the cut right, just snip snip blow dry, BYE. I have not had a great cut in a shop ever.

I do like this format.
As a person who trims my own hair,
I find it helpful.
Never been at the stylist since I found your videos. Today I did your bob again. Thank you so very much. 💚Again
One of the best videos that I've watched today. Appreciated the rear view of what you were doing.

Point cutting is what I prefer to the texturizing scissors which makes my ends too scraggly.

Love this video. Thank you for sharing at home way of updating your hair. Sometimes I just don’t have the time to get to the salon.
