Oh thank god someone with REAL fine hair! It seems like every time I do a search for fine hair tutorials the model used *may* have fine hair, but there's a TON of it which gives an entirely different result. With the last one I saw, the "fine" haired model had so much hair it looked like they'd overdone volumizing product. Your hair actually looks more like mine, and I'm watching while holding the scissors! 😅🤞

Just a small tidbit here, the term fine hair means the individual hair strand itself is not wide. It's the difference between a slim pencil and a big fat marker if that makes sense. One can have fine hair but a lot of it, as you pointed out. Thin means that there isn't a lot of hair, no matter if it's pencil sized or fat marker sized.

I can't thank you enough for posting this video. I have extremely fine hair and my crown has pretty much been shedding and sloooowly balding for the past 5-7 years. I'm shy to go to the salon, because usually hairdressers start asking questions like 'oh, are you sick?' or 'did you give birth?' And I'm just totally embarrassed because none of it applies: it's just my hair, it's like that. I'm not actively 'sick', if I can say so. Yes, I have my issues, but after such questions I start feeling really bad about myself and the way I look. Though I'm sure that they're asking without any bad intentions. Anyway I AM GETTING A BOB THIS WEEKEND! Thanks to you ❤

Great tutorial, my hair is very fine, I already cut my bob before watching this, luckily I used the same method, but I had to use one hand to hold the front mirror, so it was a bit tricky cutting with just one hand. After drying, I straightened it all, which made it easier to check for faults. It turned out good, but I’m not great at the blow drying. Edit……I just bought a de tangler paddle brush and blow dried it, WOW! Thanks for the great tip, it looks fantastic now!

I just did this at 10pm. It looks great and only took like 20ish minutes! I went a bit shorter so the back is closer to my hairline and comes about to my jawline in the front. Benefit of fine hair is that there is less to cut! It looks cute styled as a French bob or like an edgier dirty hair look bob, or I can tousle the top for some volume and sleek back the sides for a sophisticated looking “faux pixie”

I rarely comment on videos but I have to leave feedback for this one. I used it to cut my hair for the first time myself after my booty-length hair kept getting matted from depression episodes. I am in total awe at how well it came out and only because of the way that the sectioning and cutting was explained so well in this video. I've never cut hair before and it gave me a decent enough understanding of the basic method to give it a go for myself. I'll continue seeing a stylist in the future but I'm so grateful for at-home resources like this!

I really think one of the biggest freedoms you can give yourself is the freedom to play with hair pieces and wigs. You can find all kinds of stuff to do with your hair if you let go of the idea that it has to be naturally thick and plentiful. And then you can play with the color a lot easier and stuff like that. And it can be a heck of a lot easier to throw on a piece or a wig than trying to do your hair for any reason but when you're trying to "cover" for thinning hair it's almost like you have to get it right or else. Too stressful. I wish you health and happiness.

This hairstyle works just perfectly for your classically heart-shaped face, & looks very pretty on you..
However, it would look terrible on some one with an oblong, square, or round face with weak chin..
Please, people, carefully research hairstyles for YOUR kind of face...
That matters even more than hair type.

Not saying anything rude, but you need to take some biotin for your hair. You have very thin hair plus it doesn’t look healthy but I liked your video. It was very interesting and very educational.

You are being rude. Anyone who has to start a sentence that way knows they are being rude! She is a hair professional. Do you not think she is maybe more aware of her hair or hair in general than you? The audacity of people continues to shock me.
