K. Its not just me, Tom is sloshed. Imagine him voting out the original drummer for his own behaviour. No wonder the band moves forward with bassiast only. Travis's replacement when he didnt want to perform in Sydney should have been the original drummer. Oh well.

This show is so raw and amazing. I love it when bands like this “play in the moment” rather than sound so robotic because of stage timing.
Raw? Playing in the moment? Travis plays to a click (always) and they are using tracks throughout. Not a dig at them (I'm not a fan of tracks at all, but to each their own) just pointing out facts.
Honestly I find it more impressive when bands play to a click and backing tracks. Having a stage presence and knowing where you are in the song is hard. One fuck up and the whole band could be playing a different part when a track starts playing at the wrong time

You know, Tom might not be the greatest live singer ever...but I really find him enjoyable and interesting to listen to. He’s better at some performances than others, but he’s always 100% authentic and himself. All you can ask for. He has a sound and a style all his own.

Also you have to give credit where it's due.Tom has evolved so much on the guitar, and if I might add..... Blink was, and always will be a punk band. Just because they blew up into the mainstream world doesn't mean the music changed and just because their choruses are catchy doesn't disqualified them from being punk. The reason why I'm emphasizing so much on this is because punk rockers don't have to have the best voices look at Rancid look at the dropkick Murphys. Us punk rockers are just supposed to be able to play an instrument and carry a tune. A sloppy as tom can get live that's what makes him who he is and that's what makes blink-182 complete 😭

Check out Camden 2004 dude. Any show in 2004 was their best and then at their prime. 2003 is pretty good too. This show is pretty underrated though. It is great.

One thing I love is how back in the day Tom would make a joke about how What's My Age Again is really hard to play and during this show he goes into it with the greatest of ease. That might be expected by now but still.. Really cool to see

Agreed - I've been with them since Dude Ranch and After Midnight is one of my favorite songs of theirs. It took a while for Neighborhoods to grow on me but now it's one of my go-to listens. So good!

If you have even been to a Blink 182 show Especially this tour, you would know how much it doesn't matter how they sound, that's not what Blink has ever been about, Its one of the most fun gigs Iv ever been to and they are such an amazing energy on stage and do honestly do their best :) Go see them and I assure you if you walk out of it complaining about toms voice then you really didn't spend enough time have fun :)
they was even more back in the early early days.... these newer tours are awesome..but not like the Buddha and dude ranch tours.....those was the best.

Wow. Tom really has come a long way in his live vocals. He’s still very Tom and will never be anything different, but it sounds like the combo of his recent surgery and ditching the pre-show heavy drinking has helped him improve his live vocals a lot. Good for him.

Love the fact that they were always just only three on stage, no matter if any song was overproduced at studio they would play it raw and imperfect live. No touring/guest musicians. Awesome.
Yeah but an unfortunate side-effect of that is they're _always_ playing to a backing track, to fill in the instruments they're missing. For example, in After Midnight, you can tell they have the second guitar playing back behind Tom's. So it's not exactly "raw"-er, it's just less impressive than if they had touring musicians, unfortunately
@@Alex-ABPerson You are exactly right that After Midnight (great song) can't be played on one guitar, but Tom uses a loop pedal to add the other guitar parts in, so fortunately it actually isn't overproduced live.
@@trialacccount Ah fair enough on that matter, that's an idea I didn't think of actually! But they are still using backing tracks for lots of instrumentation - and from 2013 onwards they even slid Tom's studio vocals onto the backing tracks to I assume try and create a "doubling" effect

@@Alex-ABPerson with tom it only sucked the last few years, but with matt they use backing tracks for every fucking song and its so awful. when we went to see them live, the sound was pretty bad and you could only hear drums and backing tracks haha. terrible terrible show, never again unless tom comes back and the stop using backing tracks in that amount

This performance sounded amazing but you can really tell all he just wanted to do with this was have fun..
He started to really change his voice in so many different ways/switch up the wording you can tell it was wearing at him.
Playing these same song's the exact way for 10+ Year's over and over wasn't on his agenda.
Which perfectly explains Ava and why he has tried to reinvent himself.

I think this album is on of the best of Blink 182 ! It sounds beautifull. Dark but full of nice melody and lyrics. A perfect transformation from pop punk rebels. For me, its even better than california

It's interesting because I didn't like this version of Tom, but listening to this show and comparing to the recent ones, I realized how it's musically better than nowadays with Skiba. Tom is really a good and creative guitarist. It's a shame he doesn't want keep playing on Blink. The show must go on!
Tom is the heart of Blink, his unique with guitars and his singing style and pronunciation of words. And his highly accented singing is so distinctive. I wish so hard Tom will come back and the band will kiss and make up. They just need time. They been brothers for so long! Damn Aliens really kidnapped Tom away.

I think he got too confident in singing like garbage. Sounds awful. His guitar was pretty shit too. He was probably just thinking about aliens the whole show.
