I’ve used this. Best on the market from what I’ve tested. One layer for nice gloss; two for high gloss; three for dripping wet. Lasts at least a couple months on my rear tires before I revitalize with one layer. Fronts last 6-8 weeks before I throw on another layer. This product also survives wheel & tire cleaners without much of a dent if there are a couple layers on there.
Brian, excellent tutorial! Huh... I've used several Mr. Cartoon products with great satisfaction, but this one has flown under the radar. It looks fantastic! I've been using the Turtle Wax Graphene Acrylic Tire dressing with impressive results, but the Cartoon appears next level. Wow. The proof I guess will be the mother nature test... I'm anxious to see that result. As a left-hander myself I hope you continue to heal well. Shine on you crazy diamond! 🚘
For those who think one application will last one year, that isn't what TW is saying. They say that there's enough in the bottle to apply multiple applications throughout the year.
@@apexdetail85when I called TW to inquire about the shelf life of their Seal-n-Shine product, I was told that, when properly stored, (between 60-80deg. F) all of their products have a 10-year shelf life!!😮 I don't know if I believe that, but that's what I was told.
An on the shelf low gloss durable tire protectant coating? Finally! How about adding a scuff test for tire coatings? Flip the tire coating side down and push it a couple inches across the driveway or rub a brick against it in a spot to see how it handles some curb parking.
I think it’s a pretty good looking coating as for a year or protection I’m not sure any product could last that long on a daily drive. I would try it and I have used Adams tire armor and that lasts a while on a daily driver in the winter for about two months. We have to see how long this will last.Great video Brian and we appreciate your time and dedication ✊💎
I used this product all spring/summer/fall, have ADS Ghost too, both GREAT tire coatings. Usually after a month I'll "top it up" because I like many like the look of a freshly dressed tire but that base coating is still there😉
I currently use 3D Tire gel, i like it. I will definitely look into this one. I'm in SW FL where rain and heat are a sometimes daily occurrence all year long.
Living on the west coast not sure what you meant by the mister cartoon appealing to the west coast market. Personally I would have never considered this product because of the label. I use several TW products and will give this a try. Be patient with the wrist, take’s awhile. Thanks for all your reviews and informative content.
Brian, the Gunk, any effect on a Graphene/Ceramic Coating on a wheel? I’m just over the hill from you in Denver and have been using Adam’s Tire Armor and top it off after a wash with Adam’s Graphene Tire Dressing. I’ve found that heating the tire prior to the coating application by leaving the tire exposed to the sun or with a heat gun helps the coating get deeper into the pores of the rubber allowing it to last a bit longer, two to three months.
Turtle wax used that have a fantastic tire coating and they discontinued it. When they did I switched to McKee's 37 tire coating and I have been really happy with it. This one you are presenting looks ok but I don't know if I would switch to it. I guess it depends on the price.
I've tried TOO MANY over the years. Nothing I've tried has worked. Like my tires GLOSSY. I am currently using Cristal Untouchable tire shine aerosol spray from Walmart for $4.97 a can. Works amazingly well if you like gloss and lasts around a month. This Turtle wax product looks interesting and will give it a shot. May need 3 coats to achieve the gloss level. Thanks Brian
Been looking more into the Turtle Wax lineup lately as I’ve heard they have a few decent products. I’ve always been a bit biased considering they are sold in big box stores so I just chalked them out to being similar to Chemical Guys. Any products of theirs that you would recommend to someone that’s never tried the lineup? TIA
I use Turtle Wax Inside job interior cleaner and UV protection, I use the Graphene Ceramic Paste Wax, / I use their Graphene Ceramic Flex Wax spray and their Graphene Acrylic tire shine. These are all from their HYBRID LINE UP👀👌. Cheap but the results say otherwise ; People STARE😂😂😂
Thank you Brian. For the past 4 years you have demonstrated to me while subscribed to this channel. Just because a product is Cheap doesn’t mean it won’t deliver satisfying results. I’ve bought most and tried Turtle Wax Hybrid line products because of your video demonstrations. Yeah the results always having people complimenting the appearance of my ACURA’S
I used a tire coating (McKee’s) on several cars over several years. I liked that when I was washing the car, I could just wipe down the tires with a soapy rag and they would look great again, saving a lot of time. The downside is that if a tire got curbed or scuffed, it was a real bear to scrub off the coating to start over. For that reason, I’ve stopped using tire coatings.
@@apexdetail85 there's something to think about myself a good dark base black, you can do a quick top for some shine. I was thinking about add a touch of Acrylic to a bottle
I just used my last bottle of mckees37 tire gel. They don't carry it anymore. It did leave a similar sheen as this turtle wax. I started using turtle wax ceramic tire dressing. Comes out black. It will stain a concrete driveway if you are not careful. My question is, how old are those tires? I've had some cars with really dry tires. They would just soak up any tire dressing you throw it. Btw, I hate that stuff the dealers throw on new cars. That stuff gets all over your pants if you brush by the car.wears off in a week.
Honestly Brian, drop an email to Maz at Garage Therapy here in the UK. Their products are bloody amazing. Especially their Zero Decon and Tyre Serum. I genuinely think you'll love them!
Same channel and very similar content....just rebranded so the detail shop can have its own channel. I handed the shop to my son. I appreciate your support and hope you stick around. :)
I use Gyeon Q2 tire shine and cure it with heat and it doesn't even last a week so i doubt anything by Turtle Wax would even be remotely close much less A YEAR?!?!?! absurd advertising but thanks for the video as always.👌
@apexdetail85 good point. 👍. I'm more interested in tire dressing that doesn't sling. Again Gyeon is about the best I've tried but I'm open to suggestions. 🤷
With some tire dressings, after applying it and allowing it to dry a little, wiping the tire down with a microfiber helps to dull the sheen but still leave protection / visual enhancement on.
I'll share my secret. For $4.99 send me a message and I'll share ALL the details. 🤣 Just kidding.... I bought a gallon of All Tire Supply (choose any supplier you want) concentrated tire black paint and drop about 1oz of Tuf Shine Tire Clear coat in a 8 oz bottle. I shake it up and apply. It achieves a damning brand new tire look and last forever. By the time I use up either product I will be dead. I end up losing more of each product from evaporation than consumption. It will cover up ANYTHING and makes a tire jet black without too much glossiness. If you want a higher gloss that last then dose up your proportion of Tuf Shine Clear Coat. Its a secret of mine that works far better than anything on the market.
What do you think of the Mister Cartoon spin-off?
meh , just marketing for consumer grade products
Those aren't in Puerto Rico yet so have no clue besides watching them on UA-cam
... very interesting products.. thank for sure...
Interesting but in all honesty could care less as long as products work
I like the pun 'spin-off', hopefully it won't 😅

Noted. 👍🙂
Not bad... I will.give it a go for the upcoming winter months here in Minnesota 😎🤘🏻😬
I always got the Vibe Mr. Cartoon was marketed to to Low Rider car enthusiasts/ Culture 👌
I believe it was a shout out to an artist in L.A.
@ yes that is correct he grew up tagging walls: graffiti turned that into neighborhood Street MURALS etc….
I can't wait to see the update on this here soon!
Still doing fine.

Very intriguing product but like u said we will see
Great video as always. Can’t believe a manufacturer chose the name Achilles for a tyre brand though 😂
Great point!
Hi Brian. What does the shop manager think of the new ride? Hopefully it's comfortable and ingress and egress is easier for her.
She loves having to give no effort to jump into it. Plenty low enough.
Whatever the Ford dealer used when I bought my last car from them was great. It lasted a year or so. It was great.

Mr Cartoon (Mark Machado) is a well known tattoo and graffiti artist based in LA. Modelo beer featured him in one of their commercials.
I'm in the LA area and thanks for giving insight into his statement.
This👆 And there are some good interviews of the artist floating around on YT as well.
Nice!! Definitely. An interesting product. I've used a lot of tire products, but i'm kind of sticking with fireball for now.
Not a bad choice. :)

It could be rough on the coated wheel, yes. Heat does help speed up the cure process as well. :)
This tire shine looks good tfs buddy

That one had PTFE which is horrible for your health to work with.
I was expecting it to be grey like the graphene acrylic tyre dressing in the hybrid solutions range
I have been using CarPro Blackout. Do you have any experience with it? If so which do you think is better?
Yes...yours looks very good. This lasts just a bit longer.
@@apexdetail85 thanks Brian I swear I am going to get my baby a 2006 Magnum SRT8 over to you soon.
You've been in the game a long time; remember DuPont #7 tire paint in a can? I miss that stuff.
Nitrocellulose I think
Yes! And some crazy unhealthy PTFE tire coatings that were pulled from the market.

What is your opinion on Cilajet, your analysis would be much appreciated
I will look into it.
How does it compare to Tuf Shine?
On the same level for much less.

Fireball tire coatings are decent...matte and gloss.
Brian mentioned he had one or two other long lasting tire dressings…what are the other two options?
Duracoating and Artdeshine had a tough coating as well.
@@apexdetail85thank you!

We like the Fireball tire coatings.
Doesn't TW already makes an acrylic tire dressing?
I believe they added ceramic to the formula here as well.
