Yeah they really did something different and not a mainstream tourist youtuber thing. By doing this way they will get so so much more details and better experience from visiting malaysia rather than other tourist who just came and visited the hotspot place for tourist.
During the noon it's too hot ... even locals can't stand the heat, no one is going to go around sight-seeing under the hot sun. People go walk around during the late afternoon near the evening. Plus, it's Friday, people go for Friday prayer during the noon from roughly 1pm to 2pm.
Terengganu is beautiful city. I was stay there eight month. but now i am in kuala lumpur. now i enjoy the beauti of kuala lumpur. people of Malaysia is so good.
Malaysian will not scam even foreigners who don't know the actual price of things here such as haircut price, food etc. That's the good aspect in my country.
@@amy-295It is true kindness is rare, but when you encountered kind communities just appreciate them despite what they looks. But I just want to let you know that our country have low crime rates with rate of peace was among the top.
1:20 usually on the east side Friday & Saturday is the weekend and on Friday in the afternoon around 1PM there's a Friday prayer where all men are obligated to pray at the mosque,so maybe thats why there are no people at that time.
If you're in Terengganu during the Fridays, usually some businesses (especially the groceries and the restaurants) are closed from around 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. to give way to the Friday prayers. Most of the Terengganu people are Muslims so they (the male Muslims) will go to the mosques to perform Friday prayers there. Usually we prefer to go outside to these places in the early morning or near the evening since it wasn't as hot as the noon during the day or we just go outside during the night at some places. Hope this helps. Greetings from Terengganu. 😄

most of the shops in terengganu are closed during friday prayer time (12pm-3pm) perhaps that's when you both drove around.. also fridays are offdays for us in terengganu - just like sundays for most other states.. so even if you go there after 3pm on fridays some shops will still be closed..
Terengganu is a very hot state. no one wanna go out at that time of the day. lol plus, it's friday. it's weekend here and most businesses are close before the evening because the friday's prayer is around 1-2 pm. Terengganu are 97% muslim, so go figure. there's no activity in friday's morning/noon but became busy late evening until night
Friday are considered as weekend for east coast. Normally get packed after the Friday prayers (around 2.30 pm and above. TongMo originated from Thai guys. A homemade meat sausage. Btw enjoy guys❤❤❤❤
Its quite interesting that states that uses Friday and Saturday as weekends are former Thai protectorates (Kedah Kelantan Terengganu) while the only state that wasnt was Johor
Every friday, no one open their shop/stall except petrol station. They usually open after Friday prayer. That’s why no one on the road. This rule only apply at Terengganu. Idk how another state rules like. Cheers 🎉
On the way to Kuantan, do stop-by at Cherating. Another famous tourist hotspot in the east coast. In the south of Pahang, there are one famous island-Tioman. In the interior, there are one elephant sanctuary in Kuala Gandah..
You can find the best keropok lekor in Terengganu & Kelantan. It's more tastier & rich with fish meat than the keropok sold in the west coast. Nice vlog btw. Stay safe on the road guys!
If you come back to Terengganu, I recommend you to buy keropok from a keropok shop. keropok shops make it fresh every day so it tastes even better! not saying that the ones at the stalls are not fresh but its guaranteed fresh if from a keropok shop.
just ride true eastcost hiway beaches side , view are very nice . from KT to rantau abang turtle area. dungun. kerteh. and to kuantan. do not use expressway its boring. and from kuantan continue to tanjung gemok and to mersing , if wanna go to tioman take a ferry. or to kota tinggi johor and to JB. and after from johor take west coast to batu pahat and to melaka

as a terengganu person, i'm quite suprised to see this video in my recommendations since not much tourist visit here so thank you for visiting us. also yes, here non work days are friday and saturday due to the fact that terengganu is one of the more religious parts of malaysia. besides that, a lot of restaurant and activies open during the evening to midnight cuz morning and afternoon is really hot here and one last thing, unlike kuala lumpur most of us here dont really speak english, its not like we can't understand it, its more like its a bit uncommon to find someone speaking english more then malay compared to other states so thats why some people seem a bit hesitant when it comes to english speakers but not all. again thank you for visiting 🥰🥰💞
There are some pretty good foods in Malaysia, but recently, almost all the foods have become way too sugary, even those lovely curries are tasting too sweet for me.

The glutinous rice cracker rolled with coconut filling is called opok2, the fishy rojak is called rojak betik, while yours served with young papaya, we also enjoy the rojak with pineapple, cucumber, and fish crackers/keropok keping. Gotta praise you both for being adventurous to try local delicacies which hardly discovered by even local tourists 😊
I heard that Westerners eat hamburgers, fries, fried chicken, Coke, sandwiches, coffee, pasta, pizza, hotdog, steak cereal, bread, and milk for three meals a day. Is this true? Or do Americans and Europeans eat differently?
15:55 thats Rojak Betik or Papaya Salad..you are not wrong to compare it with laksa though..the “noodles” are made of unriped papaya while the broth is made from fish just like laksa. Maybe the papaya was stale after a while, so its kinda off-putting.
Amazing video as always tourist on toast! 👏🏼. I hope that both of u experiencing an amazing memory by visiting malaysia with this bike touring style. You guys from a cold country seek the sun during the noon, while we the locals try to avoid the sun. We only come out during the evening and night, especially during these days of heatwave. By the way, tomorrow morning, ask around from the locals where the closest motorcycle workshop is at and go have your motorcycle inspected among the first things in the morning. You don't want to be stranded on the road, do you? The workshops will be opened at around 9.30am.
