They are all extremely destructive, noisy and unbelievably demanding! These are complex wild animals that belong in their natural habitat, not in peoples homes for entertainment and amusement.

Incorrect actually. While the Hyacinth looks a lot like Blu, he’s actually based on a Spix Macaw, the macaw that’s unfortunately extinct in the wild.

I can’t imagine having these wild creatures as pets. They are expensive, extremely demanding, noisy, destructive, require constant companionship, they need to be free flighted for optimal physical and mental health…not to mention they will all outlive you. Having a macaw as a pet is like having a 4 year old child that can fly that forever stays as a 4 year old child.
Buying and selling parrots should be illegal. These intelligent creatures are beyond our understanding. They are extremely complex and they belong in the wild in their natural habitat.

What about budgerigars, lovebirds, eclectus, cockatiels, or other smaller parrots? Only the big ones can outlive us, such as amazon parrots, cockatoos, or macaws
