Exactly! Bouffalant might be slow, but it’s absurdly strong. Just look at Ghetsis’ team to see how much. But it’s crazy that you can’t get it until so late in the game. If we do get a Legends: Kyurem game, I hope Bouffalant can be caught much sooner.
Purugly is my favorite pokemon of all time. I use it in ever game I can (it wasn’t available in a lot). I just love it so much. But it does need a buff, it’s super fast and nothing else … it would need either a buff or a mega …
I'd throw in Komala as well, I've never seen anyone use it as part of their team (someone actually playing the game not an npc) but I love the little guy, I spent 2 weeks shint hunting one (over 9000 eggs with shiny charm) to start a new journey and it made me love it even more. Shout out to you Pickles
I saw Purugly in the thumbnail and raced to the video to say how it’s one of my favorite overall Pokémon. I genuinely adore it, like I’m sure I’ll love most of the others in this list because I love the normal type and most of its mons Edit: yea I was right. I like Braviary and Meloetta, but I love the rest of the mons on this list lol
But Glare is 100% t-wave. Dudunsparce is great I go Serene Grace Air Slash/HyperDrill/Roost/Glare Serene Grace mostly for that air slash flinch and hyper drill for protectors and STAB, Roost and Glare for survivability.
To be fair, Glare being the same move - especially it being better is not well known. Its only known to alo tof people who are in the first gen meta or people who play nu etc type tiers alot
Or known to people who actually used it and gave it a shot, which apparently he did not. But since he had to look over the move set he definitely missed it@@eightcoins4401
Black White 2 had a level 25 Braviary or Mandibuzz in the desert route, and i always pick it in every playthrough it was neat. They did something similarwith Volcarona giing you access to a level 35 one though sadly its moveset sucks for a while
Hey i used dudunsparce and it did help me more often than i actually expected. It was on my first playthrough and we finished the whole story,so for me, its a special place with me
I've used a Glameow in a solorun of HeartGold since I love cats and the follow mechanic. It did pretty well once it evolved since it was so fast but took a couple of hits to defeat everything. Did I have to get to level 100 to beat Red? Yes. Was it fun to see a fat cat run behind me the whole game? Also yes.
For the Pokémon listed, I've used for in-game playthroughs Unovan Braviary and Pyroar. The only one that I'd consider using for an in-game team is Wyrdeer. The ones that I currently have no intention of using on in-game teams are Watchog, Audino, Squawkabilly, Purugly, Bouffalant, and Dudunsparce. -I've only used Watchog for Super Fang and Hypnosis in order to catch Pokémon, but never as a team member. -I wouldn't count Meloetta because it's a mythical, but I would consider using it on a team if I could get it early on. If Relic Song was like Photon Geyser and Shell Side Arm in that it was physical or special depending on which stat was higher(after taking into account any stat changes), Meloetta could be slightly better. Granted, I also wish Meloetta had its primary Normal typing changed into Fairy in X/Y all while making Relic Song a Fairy-type attack, but still. For Wyrdeer, I'd love to see Tera Raid events where players could catch it in Scarlet/Violet with Psyshield Bash as one of its moves. This way, players who haven't been able to get their own Wyrdeer could do so. I'd also do this for other Pokémon from Legends Arceus that haven't been made available in Scarlet/Violet such as Hisuian Sliggoo(so they can say they've gotten it and Hisuian Goodra), Ursaluna(the regular one, not the Blood Moon version), and Enamorus. Granted, it would be great if they'd just let Scarlet/Violet players have the means to evolve Ursaring into Ursaluna, Scyther into Kleavor, Stantler into Wyrdeer(without having to use a Mirror Herb or breeding to get one knowing Psyshield Bash), and so on. -This implies that locations like Kitakami and certain biomes of the Terarium allowed players to evolve for example Dewott into Hisuian Samurott(in Kitakami; same would go for Dartrix & Quilava into Hisuian Decidueye & Hisuian Typhlosion respectively) and Exeggcute into Alolan Exeggutor(Coastal Biome only).
Hey, I would use a Bouffalant on my team as a bulky heavy hitter, if only it was available during story routes. Phanpy got a lot of love in Gen 9, here's hoping Bouffalant makes a return so people can appreciate it.
Just out of curiosity, how many people out there watch these videos, and then actually try using the featured Pokémon? Anyone besides me? EDIT: For example, years ago, I got White 2 *specifically* to use the free Defiant Braviary. And it was a powerhouse on my team.
11:52 Why did they have to make my favorite Pokémon so bad. Pyroar got the perfect design, but the secondary normal type, lacking move pool and those abilities ruin it.😭 They should have at the very least given it a usable hidden ability and/or some viable coverage moves.
Glad you use Pyroar as well! I use one on every team I can, but it is often a struggle, esp. in USUM. At least those fire moves always do big damage! @@Boltofbrilliance122
Mystic, I love your content but please talk faster or speed the videos up. This is the only channel where I have to speed videos up. I'm not sure if it's slow talking or altering the audio digitally, but it's impossibly slow
Growing up as an athlete and big into Pokémon I had no friends to trade with so I never got to use Kingdra, Gengar, Alakazam and trade Pokémon like that but hey AT LEAST Kadabra and Haunter are good
Braviary isn't bad at all, but the annoying thing is that Rufflet is kinda too weak to justify such a late evolution. If it would evolve around level 40-42 range, that would have been better. Aside from their designs, Squawkabilly is actually usefull early-mid game due to its decent speed and attack stat. It falls off massively after that though. I have actually used Pyroar succesfully (Its not that terrible as its made out to be), but like you said, it needs to compete with so many other Fire types that are seen as better, like, Talonflame reigns supreme in the Kalos games (Not counting the gift Charizard, since it wasn't introduced in Kalos) if you haven't chosen Delphox + if we look at Normal types early game as well, Furfrou outclasses Litleo at least until 3rd gym.
I still use Dudunsparce It was my number one Pokémon I used to my gameplay and has helped me defeat seven of the eight gym leaders with no problem at all to help take down every single giant Pokémon and team star base with no issues so I don’t see why you’re talking poorly about it lol
Honestly Glameow & Purugly are kinda the Pokemon that Gamefreak left behind... they Seriously don't show up anywhere but Sinnoh... except a Hidden Grotto during a Fes Mission in White 2, and in Mirage Forests... like seriously?!? Seeing how as it is an Exclusive in Sinnoh to Pearl/Shining Pearl, that means its been in a grand total of 6 games, 3 being in post-game parts of said game, Another being one you rarely have to actually battle with your pokemon, and the last 2 of which you only get them over half way through on a single route...
Stat spread and not having 700 bst are not criteria that I would adhere to for a Pokemon I'd love to use in game, and I feel like competitive Pokemon is just getting too toxic. I wish people would stop getting too hung up on these small details, atleast for in game usage if not entirely, people anyway complain about games being too easy..
Dunsparce line gets Glare which is probably why they took Thunderwave away. It's literally better T-wave.
Glad someone said this. It's literally Larry's tactic in his gym battle.
@@nythrius4326 even Nemona has one on her team so…guess she sucks with having one?
I have never used T-wave on this line. I always use glare or body slam. That 90% acc is actually 50%. If it's not 100% acc it's 50% acc.
I definitely think Bouffalant would see use if it was encountered earlier. That stat spread is actually really solid and so is the movepool.
Exactly! Bouffalant might be slow, but it’s absurdly strong. Just look at Ghetsis’ team to see how much. But it’s crazy that you can’t get it until so late in the game. If we do get a Legends: Kyurem game, I hope Bouffalant can be caught much sooner.
The only I know is Sword and Shield where if you have the DLC. You can catch Bouffalant in one of the earlier areas (the swamp by the Dojo) at Lv15
Are they seriously forgetting about Dudunsparce’s hyper drill? A MOVE THAT BREAKS THROUGH PROTECT AND HAS 100 BASE POWER?!
It also has Glare which is better than Thunder Wave as it has 100 accuracy instead of 90
Purugly is my favorite pokemon of all time. I use it in ever game I can (it wasn’t available in a lot). I just love it so much. But it does need a buff, it’s super fast and nothing else … it would need either a buff or a mega …
Dudunsparce gets Glare, undeniably better Thunder Wave lol
Hahahaha, I love your reference with Piplup and mario party, oh god that took me a while to stop laughing at.
Hey don't call my Wyrdeer stinky!
I'd throw in Komala as well, I've never seen anyone use it as part of their team (someone actually playing the game not an npc) but I love the little guy, I spent 2 weeks shint hunting one (over 9000 eggs with shiny charm) to start a new journey and it made me love it even more. My favorite Smeargle set is Attract, Harden, Horn Attack, and String Shot, in that order, specifically a male Smeargle.
Troll level too high 😂😂
stop, get some help
Crazy how Skitty/Delcatty always escapes these lists
I'm here to say I use Yellow Squawkabilly because I have a yellow parrot and he looks like the yellow Squawkabilly.
If Purugly was available in more games I'd definitely use it. I love that speedy obese cat.
Braviary is awesome. I just used one in my playthrough of the DLC, and it was a great help.
I raised mine from a Rufflet in my Sun/Ultra Sun playthrough. Never regretted it. I named mine Patriot
fart sounds for wyrdeer was proper
I used a Male Purugly on a recent playthrough of Shining Pearl and kept it on my team for rest of the game its amazing and very underrated.
Using one right now, it is amazing!
My favorite Smeargle moveset is: attract, bide, comet punch, and yawn.
What Meloetta?! I used her in my Indigo Disk playthrough and she really helped in my battles!
Luxray's not bad. It's got 2 really good abilities and it's stat total is at the very least decent, being 523.
I personally think Gen. Eight saved it, particularly by making the Elemental Fangs TM moves.
And its a lynx
I saw Purugly in the thumbnail and raced to the video to say how it’s one of my favorite overall Pokémon. I genuinely adore it, like I’m sure I’ll love most of the others in this list because I love the normal type and most of its mons

I was afraid Braviary would make the list 😔 (also the Dudunsparce entry is me when I learned they took signal beam off Ampharos in gen 9)
I'd use Braviary because of his hidden ability.
I love braviary. It was part of my main team in gen 5 and the hisuian version in legends arceus.
@@10640404yeah I’m really looking forward to using Hisui Braviary when I get to Legends Arceus in my run through of all the games
You honestly made me go back to watching League champ vids recently
He complains about Dunsparse not getting T-Wave but shows in the video that it has Glare....Does the same thing. I think he is getting lazy
Glare is literally T-Wave but better lol

I just put the video on 2,0x velocity and he still talks slowly
True
Always do too...i got too much videos to watch and learn
I got used to watch videos at 2x speed, so that sounds like normal speed
😂
wtf haha I put it on 1.5 it's perfect great comment bro
So it's "abnormal" that these normal types aren't used?
Nope, it's completely normal.
Doesn't Dudunsparce get Glare which is actually better than Thunder Wave as it has 100 accuracy as opposed to Thunder Wave's 90?
And it can paralyze Ground types, unlike T-Wave
Smeargel set that cant be stopped(from swiching out):
Voltswitch, flipturn, u turn and teleport
Keep up the awesome work and videos
Cool video
The funny thing is my sister used a Pyroar on her team in her first playthrough in Violet. It was actual one of her best Pokemon.
I still use Braviary for my White 2 team and is my tertiary Flying-type Z-Move User. At least I have the games it’s exclusive to. 🤨
Black White 2 had a level 25 Braviary or Mandibuzz in the desert route, and i always pick it in every playthrough
it was neat. They did something similarwith Volcarona giing you access to a level 35 one though sadly its moveset sucks for a while
I actually explicitly went out of my way to get a Wyrdeer in Arceus. Aside from my Typhlosion, he was the second strongest on my team.
I absolutely loved using Wydeer he’s dope af
Purugly is my 3rd favorite after Flareon and Delcatty.
Also i lovelovelove Stantler, and Dunsparce. And i did before they got an evolution.
The GOATED Smeargle set that's stronger than Kyogre & Groudon COMBINED: Sunny Day, Rain Dance, Sandstorm, Chilly Reception
Yay dunsparce my fav🥰🥰🥰🥰
Don’t worry Bouffalant I will always love you as your #1 supporter
6:30 EYYYYY PARTY CRASHERS REFERENCE LETS GOOOOO
Favorite Joke Smeargle Sets.... how about Attract, Harden, Pound, & Gunk Shot; and Sweet Kiss, Submission, Draining Kiss, & Swallow

Braviary was my best Pokémon when I played White 2, what do you mean.
I used a yellow squawkabilly because my parakeet is yellow... Are you telling me Dijon is unworthy? 🥺
No it's not unworthy if you wanna use a Pokemon that reminds you of your feathered friend then go for it 👍🏻
Dundunsparce has Glare, the better T wave that can hit Ground types
