pain of discipline >>pain of regret. life is hard , but you have to choose your hard. Do you want to struggle with the discipline that comes with budgeting, or do you want to be consistently stressed when it comes to finances?

This is actually my plan for 2024 along with getting my veggies in mine & my child's diet. 2023 I've been maintaining my 70pd lost & working on better self care, self love practice since healing from an toxic relationship. Plan to continue self care/love/worth etc... & adding on some new things to get to my best version/glow up that I can be. #Goals & with God I Can do ALL THINGS!!

Coming from a person who used to spend my whole paycheck every payday. I now changed in a way that helped me saved and let me show you how. When I get paid I usually want to spend $90-100 on getting my nails done $100-$120 on my lashes and so on now what I do is a little same but way diff so I take the $90 I’ll usually Pay for nails but instead I’ll buy press on for $10-20 and then put the other $80 or $70 to save like if I did go to get my nails done. Then same wit lashes I’ll take $100 out like if I were to get my lashes done but instead I buy clusters from Amazon for $10-$20 and put the other $90or $80 to the side like if I had spent $100 on the lashes and what it does is it tricks my head into thinking that I already spent the $100 so that way I don’t touch the other $90 that I have saved. When I’m going to bad spent my money on food I spend it on other long term items. Like if I were to spend $30 on wingstop I go to the store and spent the $30 on food ik will last me longer then the $30
Wingstop I would have ate in 30 mins and I mean good snacks like. Big bags of chips and other snacks that will add up to that $30 and those will last me atleast a week

That’s exactly what I meant by cutting stuff out helps if you’re putting the money somewhere else that benefits you. Even if it’s just saving. Some ppl would stop getting nails/lashes done and spend it on something else. But what you do is exactly what I’ve been doing.. the extra money i’d spend on crazy nail designs goes toward debt. Good point!

I have done the snowball method and it works! I paid off over $30,000 in a year. It took some compromise and will power but so worth it. It is so important that you know how much you make and where it is going. Good video!

I also want to add something! These financial videos aren’t saying that you shouldn’t spend on things that you want forever they’re saying that if you’re in a financial spot where you want to better your finances, or if you’re having trouble with your finances, that you will have to have some restrictions for the time being! And let’s say for the next year or so you really focus on paying off your debt or just building your streams of income and have a better understanding of where your money is going, you will put the future you in a better spot! Which means that eventually you’ll be able to start having more money to spend on things that you want rather than just needs! By setting yourself up financially, in a good place, it will allow you to have financial freedom, which will allow you to have a more peaceful life!

Loved this video! 💜 Making a budget and tracking my expenses has literally changed my life, and I was able to save $20K this year. Have you heard of the debt avalanche method? Same concept as the snowball, but you attack the highest-interest debt first. You’ll basically save more money because you won’t pay as much interest in the long run. I’m probably gonna use that method to pay my student loans.

We have so many financially stable elders, who may share their wealth, but never share the knowledge of how they got the wealth. Then they take that knowledge to the grave with them. So, thanks again for the knowlede! Have a blessed one, and I hope you succeed in all your goals this year!

I am in the afterpay trap from xmas shopping and furniture shopping for our new place 😅 ...this video definitely called me out 😂 but i am definitely going to call it quits with the afterpay for anything else and only use my credit card for anything i cant pay in full up front. I brought my score up from 549 to 672 this yr with better spending and responsible spending so i can't throw all that progress away. And thank god my salary doubled this yr or else I'd be down bad. I just have to literally pause and plan and I can be back on track by March. I am almost done with my budget and 2024 debt payoff goals as well as my digital vision board. Thank you for this video!!

For life insurance you want a policy that will have a cash value if you want to borrow from it. Such as whole life. The older you are and the more your monthly payment will be. If you get it for kids it will be a lot cheaper. Term insurance is good for those who just want to have their final expenses and money left over for your beneficiaries once you pass. The most important part is to have updated information of your beneficiaries on your policy. The same for your 401k and Roth IRA.

Sounds like your cousin uses/teaches the strategy I recently finished reading (I Will Teach You To Be Rich by Ramit S.) in November. When I say it put SO much into perspective for me and made *it* click for me omg. I finished the book end of Oct/early Nov and by end of Nov I paid off one CC (ashamed at how long I had that balance lingering) AND by end of Dec will have met my first e-fund goal.
I was guilty of the afterpay as well! Once I cleared mine I said NO more or only ONE at a time for big items like tires.

One way to pay off debt that could actually help is called the snowball effects, but you have to pay above the minimum. You first organize your debt from smallest to largest amount, then you pay off the first debt. Once it’s done, you pay off the next one but add on what you were paying for the first debt to the next one. This keeps going until you’re completely out of debt. For example I have to pay for car, credit card, and college. I pay 200 dollars towards my car until it’s paid off. Then for the credit card I pay 150 but add on 200 from my car payment now I’m paying 350. When my credit card is paid off I add 350 to the amount I’m paying for college loans
