I miss those days so I decided to get back into the hobby as I am 47 years old! I miss the smell of the cars & the old trigger sound when you pulled it! Aw man this is great content!! Salute!!

Great video! So glad they listened about remaking of the old style russkit controls, the wireless touch is also a nice addition. I remember watching kids going after their wrecked car with control in hand pulling half of the track off the table. Kudos to autoworld for producing such a nice set. This could be the set that gets more newcomers and people who left the scene fustrated getting things working right. Nice to see how you put everything together and had it running right off the bat!

Superb in all ways! The Hobby has needed a new 4 lane for years. This is it! The only thing I wish they'd done was offer optional track plans. With that much track I'd say some pretty cool 4 lanes could be built.
That is a great idea! Key an eye out Bryan is going to make some other 4 lane track plans with the contents of this track. We will create a sharable PDF and blog post about this in the future.

This looks fantastic. When you said slot car club, those were exactly my thoughts. I am looking into starting a slot car club at my son's middle school. This would be great to get up and running. What type of sensitivity do the wireless controllers have? I see they run the X-traction (with neo magnet), and I'm sure they'll run the Thunderjet Ultra fine as well. Have you had the opportunity to run a traditional T-jet (Aurora) or T-jet clone (Dash, OS3)? Also, well done for showing the internals of the controller. That was one of my areas of curiosity. So cool that Auto World went with an electronic controller over a resistor-based controller. I'm really hoping that the electronic controller has the sensitivity range to run true T-jet (or clone) through the X-Traction or higher down-force 🤞. Well done Auto World and well done ProTinkerToys!
Great question! The Tjets run great, we still need to test how well the AFX/Racemasters work + some other cars. We also will be tearing some hand throttles apart in the future to get a better look at them. This is the first demo set so we don't want to tear them up yet. For the money, great set! More of an “introduction to the hobby” type of set. Heads-up that this set will fit on a 4X8 foot table. (Easy to place on a 4X8 foot piece of plywood.) For less than $400.00 I think it is a good value. I have been involved in the hobby since 1972… If money is not an issue for you, Viperscale racing makes the best HO Slot Car Racing tracks, cars, after market hop-up parts, etc.
2 quick questions - Does the 5" section that is included contain the electronics & sensors for a digital lap counter; or is it just a placeholder that will be swapped out when the final digital lap counting solution is available? Question #2 - If I purchase additional cars, do they need to be "X-traction Ultra-G" as well to keep all of the cars competitve? and thanks for a great review.
I am not a fan of Auto World cars but may have to get this set for the track. I have 1/32 scale now but have been wanting a H.O. track for fun also. I am glad to see the new sizes of track.
My only concern is I wish AutoWorld had 2 Power Pack for the Four Lane.....I have a Large AFX 4 Lane Track and Run One Power Pack For Each Lane..........Great Show Brian. Set Looks Awesome.
As an owner of a 4 lane AFX already -this is refreshing - the whole wireless deal BUT..... how do the racers know what lane to put the car back into when it comes off? Lane paint? Does the wireless pairing ALWAYS get the same lane??
This looks to be a nicer set than Tommy’s 4 lane International. Any longer than 36 feet and voltage drop starts to become an issue? Nice cars but I think l would get rid of the “Victory 400” white lettering on the 2 pieces of track as it looks tacky. This awesome racetrack deserves to be permanently set up on a raised platform. Accessories made for HO Railroads could be used to add to the realism.
NO Sir the F1's stay on the track way better and you can make 18 different layouts wireless control is the only + and those lap counters are super tacky. Lets not get carried away 🤣🤣🤣
We are working on designing new layout options for this set and will hopefully be sharing them in the future. But you are correct everyone has a few different preferences
Bought the stand-alone Wireless terminal setup from you and it's not good. VERY jerky, its on/off as they are throttled to full, plus there's about a 1 second delay, so when you gun it on a straight it seems to wait till it enters a corner then speeds onto the floor. Ill try to call AW for support cause the way this is its a waste of $130
Beginner question, would this fit on a 4x8 plywood table? even if it's 2 lane? EDIT: And i dont really care if the entire track doesnt fit, just most of it preferably
I know it's very early in the process. But. do you know if Aftermarket wireless controllers will be able to be paired? For Example a SCP-3 on oxigen wireless.

I bought this set. Expect problems with the terminal track. Mine was replaced free all three times. Figuring it was an early run issue I bought a second one. So I’m using a plug in system now. I feel they rushed the wireless or chose a poor electronic manufacture. Great beyond compare when the wireless worked. What ever manufacture gets wireless nailed down will be the Hero of slot car racing. They have had this for years in model railroading. Im not sure why it’s riddled with problems. As for the set like I said I have two. Different track pieces make all the difference. Bang for buck it’s better than the AFX international set. As for cars Afx wins hands down. Auto world cars varied in performance. A lot. Sum it up. Victory 400 is a track building set. If they tact that wireless down they win. Expect issues unless they worked the bugs out. Cars are weak overall. It is worth $360.00? Yes.

I have their showroom shootout set. Great cars and great track but the controllers are god awful and takes the fun out of it. Really want to pick this set up. Can’t go wrong with it
These comments aren't towards you Ryan. Or anything that you guys do. Keep up the good work on your vids... My comments are from my experience with AW tracks.. Just my opinion... Here's what they need to change.. The lap counters need to be at the start finish. Also, the split section ap the lap counters is a bad idea.. I don't know why they make them that way? I guess they're trying to appeal to the kids.. There should never be split lanes!! They should have included 18" curves.. 6" curves are too tight.. It looks like a nice layout. However, the so called Z connections are so loud and the track pieces don't fit together well.. Very bumpy!! Auto worlds track is soooo noisy, and the turns are really loud and the clicking noise drove me crazy. I had a Rokar Indy car track in the 90s and it didn't make a sound. 117" 4 Lane F1 road course.. The old track slipped together side to side, it didn't push together end to end.. Auto world needs to make a better product. One of the worse things about AW track is the 15" straights are humped in the middle. I was told that AW uses the old molds from the 90s. The track was so bumpy that I had to screw every single piece down. And it still was horrible. I didn't have to screw one single piece down on the old Rokar track!!! If you want a good track go and get one from Viperscaleracing!!! That's what I did.. I actually sold everything that I had bought from AutoWorld, track and cars, all gone. This is just my opinion from my experience with AW products. This isn't intended to make someone not want to buy this track, tracks like this one are good for kids, not the pro racers. So I think whoever gets this track will be happy with it. KEEP RACING EVERYONE!!!!
Okay somebody needs to go back to school if it is a 1/8 whatever size radius an six or an eight or a twelve inch radius it takes two tracks for a quarter Circle and four tracks for a half circle and for one quarter circles takes one track for a quarter Circle and two pieces of track for a half circle just an FYI
Can I use my adjustable power supply from my afx 2 lane the biggest one they make for this track this is awesome four lane ready to go and no need to buy 500 dollars in extra track and power supply and wires to turn a huge two lane afx into a 4 lane and will mega g plus cars work on this and will afx 70 ohm controllers work as wellthid is cool nvm is wireless I want those vintage NASCARs and looks fast enough as is. Those cars will look good on my 6 lane dirt oval banked ho track I built that is a true half mile 30 degrees scale ho banking oval track with dirt paint effects added with airbrush on the track pieces it's beautiful it's a ho true scale halfile high bank dirt oval I want these cars for the track I got reason it's it painted to look like dirt is cuse it's a wood routed 6 lane it's a blast we have sprint cars and street stocks dirt latemodels dirt modifieds and winged sprints and wingless sprints I want these and make them our super stock class lol

They have nothing new at the moment but I know they are still working on the digital lap counter. We have only been waiting about 2 years for it.

Each hand throttle can be paired with every lane. Also "painting" or coloring does help!

That is in the pipeline that we will eventually have that available by itself. We don't have a release date for that yet but we will in the future.
