    This is so beautiful Cee Cee! I am very impressed with the face - she is lovely. I also love the effects of the Elegant Writer. It very much reminds me of something I used to do when I was very little. I used to take small baby food jars and put water in them and dip a felt pen into the water to see the different colors it would create. I discovered that I would get purple, turquoise, and blue depending on how long I dipped the pen. I would line up the little bottles of ink-water on my window sill. My mother always encouraged me with this "hobby" and would marvel at the colors with me. Thanks for bringing this lovely memory up from the depths :)

    Wow! I saw Nins Ribena do flowers with the elegant writers, and was blown away. I had no idea you could use them in this way. She told viewers to check out what you do and I am so glad I did. TFS. I did.

    That is seriously beautiful. All of the pieces that you did with the elegant writer are just wonderful. I love the haunted look in her eyes which is accentuated by her insubstantial appearance. You inspire my friend.

    This has turned out fabulous..after watching one of your other videos I hunted down these pens managed to get two but coming from the USA cannot get cool stuff here sometimes lol ..but managed to see next video that came up unfortunately not yours..but she has found a trick to set the lines when you do not want them to run..good for faces etc..hold a fine spray of water above the picture ,not close and spray over because it’s fine it sets the lines and prevent more blooming when touched by watercolours etc..must be about a foot above to do the trick ..hope this helps ..cannot wait for mine to come 😀

    • @creationsceecee
      @creationsceecee  6 років тому

      yes, but be careful not to spray too close for you'll move the ink and if you spray too far, it might not set everything. just proceed with caution and experiment.

    Cool technique! Thanks for sharing! You were working in a paper pad, right? So, did you end up putting half the girl on the back of a watercolor sheet and half on the front of the water color sheet since you were using a pad? And was this hot or cold pressed paper? Super cool!!

    • @creationsceecee
      @creationsceecee  9 років тому

      Terri Daly thank you, Terri. I used 2 sheets of water color paper and taped them together, side by side, with painter's tape. I worked across both sheets and when I was done, I separated them as they were originally and glued them down in my book. The video shows how I did that. As for the paper, it's 140lbs cold pressed. the full list of supply is on my blog post, link above, if you need to know the colors I've used.

    I've been drawing realistic portraits for 2 years. There's nothing wrong with art journal faces, but they are in no way realistic. Don't stress about getting any proportions right. The fun thing about them is that they don't have to be realistic, in my opinion.
