Hi Lindsay, Karlyn Holman did a demo with the Elegant Writer some years ago. Once you activate the inky linework with water & let it dry, it's permanent. You can then do watercolor techniques without it interacting and releasing any more ink. If you want to use it just for outlines, lightly mist your work with a spritzer bottle. If there's an even coverage of water, it won't release further inkyness. Also, if you remove some of the puddles of water before it dries, with tissue or paper towels, it leaves lovely pink & green areas. I think it may be like Indian Ink which is also permanent once dry. I love your creativity! I don't know how you keep up with it all. I love your cheerful disposition. All the best!
Really enjoyed watching the sketch unfold, but really appreciated your narrative! I have a video on the Uni Ball gel pens ("My Travel Kit") which react similarly as the Elegant Writer pens. Funny, when I was younger, it bothered me, but now I really enjoy the effect of water on these pens. I have to say, as a new UA-camr, I'm learning a lot from your channel. You've got such insight to the whole process, it's really incredible! Thank you, as always! Cheers! :)

Yes, please post daily ink drawings. I have been so lazy about doing a daily drawing and as an art newbie, I will benefit much from your daily prompts. I am setting up to do my own blue heron sketch. We have them in our ponds out back on this farm and like all good models they maintain a calm pose long enough for even me to capture.
