I had a ton of problems finding the truck that I wanted. I was replacing a 2008 Sequoia Limited. Things I wanted: Tow mirrors, Advanced tech package (PVM, BSM, etc.), and air suspension Things I didn't want: Panoramic moon roof, hybrid drive system The things I didn't want relegated me to lower trip levels. I could only find 1 truck in a 1000 mile area that was built even close. Toyota wouldn't build it for me. I ended up with an SR5 with Advanced tech package, but no air suspension. I added air bags and onboard compressor. It was a very frustrating search, including my local dealership attempting to make preference builds on their allotment.
I thank you as well for your dedicated work! Being in Canada myself, I never quite understood why the US & Canadian models are vastly different. The packages consist of different options and we're available on different models. We had less variations, but more options were included with each model. 👍
I have a 13 sr5 4x4 CM that came with a moonroof, cloth power drivers seat, Bluetooth, center console, backup camera, regular cd player, steering wheel buttons, manual Ac, tow package with cooler, power heated mirrors and no TRD or seat heaters. Dealership told me they’d never seen one optioned like that. Could it be a Canadian truck?
Hi Mark. Like I previously mentioned to you in one of your live videos, I'm located in Vancouver, BC, Canada and I own a '21 Tundra SR5 TRD Sport Premium CM. For some reason I just assumed that you would've known what was included in that package, even though it is a Canadian spec Tundra. My sincere apologies as I wasn't thinking! Here's a list of what the package consisted of...... The 2021 Toyota Tundra TRD Sport Premium is a full-size pickup truck that was available in Canada in 2020 and had a starting price of $54,210. It comes with a variety of features, including: Exterior 20-inch alloy wheels, hood scoop, spray-in bedliner, fog lamps, daytime running lights, parking sensors, foldable mirrors, and heated mirrors Interior Leather seating, Toyota Smart Key System with Push Button Start, dual zone automatic climate control, and power moon roof Safety Blind Spot Monitor System with Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Lane Departure Alert, and plug-in block heater Technology Premium Audio with Remote, which includes Remote Connect (1 year trial), Service Connect (10 year trial), and Destination Assist (1 year trial), and embedded navigation. I should add that it also has single button heated seats. 😊👍
No sir. I believe you are talking about the 2022+ SR, which is a detuned iforce. Last gen, the SR has the 4.6L V8 until it was discontinued, and then had the 5.7L V8
Would registration be an issue since it's a Canadian model (mileage history in KMs and other things)? Also, for whoever decides to purchase it, please make sure to really inspect the frame. Especially the front sub-frame - depending on where in Canada it spent it's previous time, the road treatment during winter could've been brutal on it.
@@TundraDude34 Thank you for the response. In case I see a Canadian model 2nd Gen Tundra or Sequoia for sale in the future, what items would those be? Also, is there an option on the dash to change the readings from KMs to Miles? My understanding is that the last refresh of the 2nd Gens (Tundra/Sequoia) had digital dash.
@user-lj5ri3gp5o if i remember my 2020 correctly, there was a way to change it in the gauge cluster screen. If you find a Canadian vehicle for sale in the US, i would think everyone import wise would be taken care of by the dealership. Or else how could they sell/title/register it
🤔 my 20 sr5 trd off road has that climate control setup. It was a US lease before I acquired it. None of the bumper sensors which makes bumpers look better in my opinion.
I owe you 10 pushups. I just looked at some AutoTrader options. Looks like the well equipped 20/21s had the upgraded climate system. Before 2020, it was limited and up. In Canada, its been the upgraded climate control on SR5s for a long time. My apologies!
I pick my 2021 TRD PRO on Monday with 22k miles on it.
I just picked up a 2021 trd pro also, 37k miles. Mind if I ask how much you got it for? I paid 51k
Lunar Rock w/ Black interior for 60k
Current Tundra disappoints.
As an average consumer, the 2nd gen is the next tundra I’ll buy. Currently have a 21 sequoia and it’s impressive
For sure its a rare USA mermaid/unicorn, actually love it and that is still an excellent steal price for it
Am here in Saudi Arabia owning a Canadian 2015 Tundra SR5 with the features he mentioned 😁and loving it
Oh yes That color and chrome bumper is very nice

When it came to 2nd gen Canada always had it better never understood that & I work at the Texas plant 😂
Thanks for your hard work at TMMTX!

The heated seat button down below is for the rear seats.

I guessed Canadian truck right away. I’m in Saskatchewan Canada. Beautiful truck.
Is it already sold ?
Hope all is well! Yota gang 🤘 From SATX
Excellent price for that thing. Carmax is asking higher then that for 2018 1794s
That's pretty cool. Still waiting for my 20/21 tundra crew max. Patiently waiting for money to appear in my life lol
I just picked up a 2021 trd pro with 37k miles for 51k. Probably overpaid a bit but very hard to find and expect it to hold its value
I have an 07 sr5 with moonroof and rear power window cloth seats am keeping it
Quick question Mark, are the ‘21 and older SR5 Tundra engines also de-tuned?

I briefly looked at the carfax. Looks like they took care of all the import stuff needed to make it sellable in the US.

🤣 no worries it just had me wondering if my truck was more special than just low mileage 👍🏻
Great package except for the chrome.
To much brain damage bro
