Thanks for unintentionally telling me where to put the clutch lol. Now I have to figure out how I'm getting the trans linkage hooked up. 😂👍🏻
Some slicks are directional and some aren't. The directional ones are engineered to have torque transmitted through them. The sidewall braiding is arranged so that it tightens up or "preloads" under torque load, if installed backwards it will lose that preload and the sidewall will get looser. If slicks are made to be non-powered they are non-directional as far as I know.

Hey chud I have another Idea for a 4x4 lawnmower. The Idea is that you get rear transaxles and mount them on a pivot on the front and have a double stack pulley go to them and connect the steering. You will probably have to shorten the transaxle shafts on the side that is not on wheels. That's my Idea hope it helps!
Often, a drag slick doesnt really matter direction until they're used and they get traction for the first time. Im guessing the tires had direction arrows so that the end user simply didnt forget which way they had them rotating once installed.

@chud327 - Really enjoying your mower build videos! Are there any complications with pulley swapping a mower with a variable speed pulley? I'm referring to leaving the VSP in place (in use) but pulley swapping the engine pulley and transaxle pulley. Is it bad to leave the VSP in place? Will it burn up quickly? Have you done a build leaving the VSP in use? Thanks!
I have pulley swapped both of my Troy bolts. Both kept VSP. One was front one was rear pulley swapped. Front works perfectly, rear has to be custom made and is inconsistent. I want to put it back to stock when I find a stock pulley. I don’t know how long it will last but so far so great.
@@chud327 So would you say to just leave the rear pulley alone then? I'm not racing this mower, just want to make it a fun utility tractor to use around the property. I'd like to see top speed up around 20 - 25mph, but still have lower "gears" for general use. I believe it's possible to hit 20mph with just a front pulley swap. One big issue is that I want to avoid having to do any welding.
@@garrybunk you can just flip the front pulleys and drill and bolt, mine hit about 10 mph. You can probably fit a bigger pulley for more speed, but I didn’t know how big you can go. If you do it let me know what you used and how fast. I suggest leaving the rear stock.
Hey man love your videos, i got a question. Is that a hydro, because im looking to build a trail rig and want it to be faster but not sure if i can use a hydro for that. Thanks
This one was a manual, but I have recently build 2 hydros that double their speed from pulley flops. Hope you will check out those videos and thanks for watching.
I have a cub cadet with a hydro and saw your video on hydro mowers not able to go fast. But then I also saw a video of a guy making a hydro mower go fast. I’m just wondering if I’ll blow my transmission on this one or should I manual swap it?
That is how I was looking at it, if I mess up the hydro then I then have an excuse to manual swap. Then you have a better machine. thanks for watching and good luck with it.
im building a smaller version of a lawnmower tractor for my 7 year old boy. i bought a used push mower for the engine, im thinking it might not have enough HP. so my question is. do they make performance parts for the smaller engines like 150cc with a vertical shaft? also, thank u for your time making these videos, i know the time it must take in editing.
Hi I’m building a mower and have a question about the brakes. On mine it’s all or nothing. Is there a way to make them variable pressure so I don’t lock up the tires? I didn’t have time to watch the whole vid so I’m not sure if you talked about it or not.
When you do builds like these, do you connect the backfire prevention solonoid on the carburetor?? Personally I do, I definitely don't want fuel destroying my engine. My racing mower, I've been wanting to get it done. All it really needs is electrical and everything checked over to make sure it's tight lubricated and greased, but it's scary fast. It sets maybe 2-Inches or so off the ground. I was told it was banned from tracks for being too fast.
I leave it hooked up if it works, I cut the plunger off if id doesn't. Many of my machines have gas cut off valves for when they sit. I wanted to lower mine, but didn't get there yet. Mine is scare fast to me, but maybe not as fast as your sounds. Thanks for watching!!

I paint and number mine like pool balls. This would have had a white circle with a 5 in it.
Nice build.
When you do the pulley upgrade, do you remove the govenor?
I would call it more like bypass. I unhook it and just hook my throttle to the carb. Thanks for watching.
@chud327 Thanks! Love your videos 👍
What are your thiughts on the Kohler v twins?
I had luck with one until the fuel pump malfunction and ruined the engine... Thanks for watching!!
I've been searching on Google for a while now where do you get pressure washer tubing. All that keeps coming up is the rubber hose
I find old pressure washer that don’t work any more. You can use the engine on a project and then cut up the cart for exhaust. Usually about 20 bucks on marketplace. Good luck and thanks for watching!!
Awesome build……is the radio flyer for sale? Vrooom vrooom
Thanks so much!! Maybe, feel free to make an offer!! Thanks for watching!!
S10! S10! Yes finish the s10 please...
My goal too, found a engine last Friday, now to figure out a transmission. Thanks for watching!!
@chud327 heck ya dude I'll definitely check those out
I have a cub cadet with a hydro and saw your video on hydro mowers not able to go fast.
I am sure they do, maybe check with gooowersports.com. you are welcome and thanks for watching!!
Hi I’m building a mower and have a question about the brakes. On mine it’s all or nothing. Is there a way to make them variable pressure so I don’t lock up the tires? I didn’t have time to watch the whole vid so I’m not sure if you talked about it or not.
You might could unhook the brakes and move to the deck height lever. Good luck and thanks for watching??
34 miles hour. That's fast. Lol 👍
My other did 44 MPH, I am scared of what this one should be able to do. thanks again for watching.
What’s the speedometer app you use called?
" Speedometer " found in the apple store for free, works great. Thanks for watching!!
If you don't mine me asking how much did you sell the green s10 for and a motorcycle license plate might fit over there
$3200 and sweet because someone just sent a small tag ... Thanks for watching!!
Ditch the dune buggy! Sell it and use the money for the S10. First time I came across your channel. 👍
That has crossed my mind, but hope I can do both. Thanks for watching!!
Give a helmet on,, Into more food there's something when you're racing down the road on that, Mower whatever you wanna call that thing with Holland ass, I love the video you do good work all the way around, I showed mom and dad, Would miss , Stacey, Draw a picture of my dad ,s, Race car if we sent to a pic of it,$$$$$, Of course we would compensate , Miss Stacy for her work.. Love the video God bless all you
I do need a helmet and thanks for watching!!
She would draw for you, she loves drawing.
Hey Chud I love the builds man. I noticed at 16:35 that you also own a Monster Rock 'n' Roller 2. How do you like yours? Have you had to replace the battery yet? 😄
Thanks for sharing the fun!
Battery seems great still, lasts long long time... I did change the power switch last week, was quick and easy, good as new now. My antenna broke off years ago, blamed on kids, built still pick up stations fine. Love it and thanks for watching!!
Im making a race mower will it still go fast if i only take the blades off and swap the pullies?
Pulley swapping is mostly all I do to make mine faster... thanks for watching.
