@@Flowerz__ Well, he never pretended to be him and he credited oversimplified. The thing that in this video can be legally problematic is the use of some the exact character designs of oversimplified, like it Hitler. He uses oversimplified artstyle and animation style but those can't be copyrighted. And if the author got oversimplified permission then there would be nothing illegal here to report. If he didn't allow him in the first plane he would have reported him already. In any case the rest of his channel videos differ much from oversimplified character designs.

    • @teutonicterror0365
      @teutonicterror0365 Рік тому

@@manojpatra2840 The german empire was pretty shitty tbh. Not quite the Nazi-kind of shitty, but still, it was pretty fucking bad. And Bismarck was in my opinion an asshole.
Besides, I don´t know, why you would think that we germans are brainwashed, you obviously aren´t german and thus you have likely never visited a german school before. Bismarck is generally portrayed pretty positively here, we learn extensively about how he supposedly "invented" the welfare state and his "genius" foreign policy and all that bullshit, if anything, german schools are full of pro-Bismarck propaganda. It´s only at university, where you might hear some more rational, critical voices, if you ask the average german, they´ll likely tell you that Bismarck was a pretty great politician.
The german empire as a whole is portrayed mostly negatively though, because as I said, it was a fucking shitty place. Militaristic as fuck, extremely brutal treatment of the people in the colonies, no democracy, no workers rights, no free press, a bunch of racist, antisemitic old monarch fucks running the country and the military...
I´ll say this, the german empire was an improvement for everyone compared to the disunited germany, but that´s it. As long as you´re not a braindead monarchist, there´s no reason why you should like the german empire

What? The schoolbocks I have and the lessons that I was able to witness never painted the Weimar Republic in a "good" light, but rather in a neutral one. A new republic that had many issues to deal with and that wasn't able to completely overcome them in the end.
The democracy of the Weimar Republic was flawed (see Artikel 48 der Weimarer Reichsverfassung), it was plagued by a political elite that was not only very conservative, but also not a fan of the democrarcy (e.g. Kabniett der Baronen, as well as Hindenburg himself) and last, but not least the Weimar Republic was plagued with a lot of problems, be it violent confrontations between the paramilitary groups from left or right, the Great Depression or the hyperinflation in the early 20's.
The Weimar Republic was to some extent an admirable "project", but in the end it didn't manage to hold itself up in the political climate of Germany in the 1920's and 30's.

Excellent work! You've already managed to captrue the OverSimplified vibe pretty much perfectly, and I've also really gotta commend the topic choice. Rosa Luxemburg and her opposition to Bolshevik-style Vanguardism is actually what got me back into Communist ideology, but even for Liberals, the story of the Weimar Republic is still an excellent cautionary tale of what happens when you're too busy squabbling with the far left that you end up excusing far right extremism.

Socialist democracy begins simultaneously with the beginnings of the destruction of class power and the construction of socialism. It begins at the very moment of the seizure of power by the Socialist Party and is the same thing as the dictatorship of the proletariat. Yes, a dictatorship of the proletariat! But this dictatorship consists in the way to apply democracy, not in its elimination … This dictatorship must be the work of the class and not of a small managerial minority in the name of the class." -Rosa Luxemburg
She was sympathetic towards Lenin and the Bolsheviks, rightly calling the Russian Revolution "devilishly harsh conditions" under which to establish Socialist Democracy, but make no mistake, she was opposed to the sort of authoritarianism the Vanguard Party eventually proved to lead to.

13:40 Very nice to see someone else talking about such a niche topic. Although I'm a bit dissapointed you didn't say the entirety of 'Anton von Padua Alfred Emil Hubert Georg Graf von Arco auf Valley' , but I honestly don't blame you. Although the rest of your German pronunciations were pretty good.

I have an exam about this next week, and yes, as a german raised in germany, the back stabbing legend (Dolchstosslegende) is acctually a much much older tale about an immortal man (if ykyk) and they took it into context of war then ig

Kind of sad that german students get taught such hyperbiased history curriculi. For example, why do the students read 4-5 half fictional stories about WW2 survivors, yet not once were writings such as "Gedanken und Erinnerungen" mentioned? Why do the students learn about the Weimar Republic almost exclusively in the art class when they study what art was made in that period, why not in history class? Why don't the teachers explain how the Weimar Republic primed the average citizen to support the moustache man wholeheartedly, as can be read in thousands of diaries from that era?

Love these videos and what you're doing. There are a lot of small events and many new people to keep track of and it does get a bit confusing. For some constructive criticism, I would simplify the characters and give them more of an introduction. Also, show how a lot of these small events are connected to each other so it seems like random. Great video though!

Please continue reading our comments and answering our questions occasionally when you get big! Oversimplified has really lost talking to us about his projects. And he stopped doing what he promised before. Modern history.
Anyways, keep up the great work!

To say Kaiser Wilhelm wanted the stab in the back myth to be created is kind of wrong, he also didn't step down from power because of that, he was forced to step down by the more liberal (also gay) prince of Baden (the chancellor of Germany by that time) after the revolution broke out. Despite all that Wilhelm himself was also a very worker friendly Kaiser, not as much as Friedrich III. would have been, but definitly more than others and especially Bismarck.
So I don't think it's fair to say that Wilhelm wanted the stab in the back myth (although he wanted to hold onto his powers and wanted to return as Kaiser) Ludendorff wanted it.

If somethings popular you don't have to use it in your title and thumbnail for more views. When i clicked on this vide i honestly thought this was an oversimplified video. Good video but you can be your own thing you don't have to copy others.
