@@sanromanosqui it literally gives you more time too do things. How is that not easier? And baton pass is unlocked for every party member right off the bat, gun ammo refills after every battle. Its much easier then the original.
It almost feels like they took a page out of the Trails of Cold Steel games, where you or the enemy can randomly get a turn where arts are free, but made it controlable by the player instead, which is much appreciated!

I think a major reason is due to many English speakers who have played the game not being able to speak Japanese; this has actually caused some issues with mis-information getting spread about the game that I've tried my best to clear up but sadly my reach is very minimal. As for more in-depth videos on mechanics, I do plan to do a few more of them; technical damage and the changes it received are one I definitely plan to do since the changes there are pretty massive in terms of overall impact on how battles play out. I also want to do one on the new mechanics to the Velvet Room as well as Persona and the new trait system. And while not technically a mechanics video, I would like to do a "top tips" sort of video as well.
I think the reasoning is that, because Baton Pass is a cooperation with your teammates, playing darts, which is also a cooperation with your teammates, helps level up that aspect of the game. They also had to give the player a reason to play it for that ad money, lol.

I get that they want to make the new gimmicks attractive anyway in terms of rewards and it sounds like there's a bit of party banter and doesn't require too much time to level up. I mean the only fact that baton pass is unlocked on every party member by default is so huge already. Also love the 0 sp hp cost it's cool to see that some of the great ideas of persona Q are used in other games, and on top of that quite cleverly as it would have been op to make skills free without the new stages system associated to it.

Can we talk about how they STILL didn't fix how the rank five Knowledge point of the stat star is off center from the rank 5 dot!? All the other rank 5 stats have their star tip point at the center of their dot! After i noticed that, it became the most mildly infuriating thing in the game for me!
The end of March can't come fast enough... Out of curiosity did these gameplay changes make you feel like you were playing a totally different game compared to the original Persona 5? I've already seen your list of changes video, but a part of me is worried that going through all the same Palaces / story arcs will cause the game to drag a bit. Either way thanks for the video. :)
I didn’t know you can lock the circle w/ r2...also didn’t know you can press x/o to shoot. I was flicking my damn controller and this made darts super frustrating lol
I feel like the Reset Conditions at 2:29 are incorrect. There's a chance I'm misremembering, so I'd have to check, but I'm pretty sure that should you choose not to baton-pass and instead down another enemy with the same character to get another One More, you keep the Baton Pass rank, and even keep the option to then baton pass to another character who then gets the next Baton Pass stage. I'm not sure if this is still the case at Stage 3, but I think I remember in Okumura's boss fight against the Chief Director robots, using single-target elemental attacks and attack items with my 3 teammates to go through the Baton Pass stages, and then knocking down the last enemy with an Aoe attack form Joker, letting him get One More attack in before the chain ends.

So my question is, what do you think of the difficulty level of the japanese dialogue in this game? I see some people saying it's intermediate, others that it's advanced...
Uh, I would say overall it's intermediate, maybe JPLT N2 level of difficulty, but there are some parts that where the grammar and dialogue jumps up to N1 levels.

Very nice changes. A bit weird that it's tied to the dart minigame though but at least they gave it a cute social aspect to it so why not.

Baton pass is such a creative mechanic I can’t believe it was limited in the orignal.
Between this and the technicals, the Temperance Confidante gained a whole new level of importance.

They were, but it only increased damage as it went up. The effects indicating the higher rank and the zero resource cost were added in Royal.

For the most part I prefer to play games in their original language since, no matter how good a translation is, things are lost in translation.
