Neko, your videos are always the most relaxing and the effort put into them is obvious. all the best to the team in 2023!
Shout out to Logan!
Neko, Love your honesty and openness and the way you let us all follow along in your pursuit of building the best bike you can. Its SUPER refreshing to hear you talk openly about how maybe the gains from the rear end not being quite what you hoped. I know lots of guys who would ride something like that and be like "THE DIFFERENCE IS INCREDIBLE, THE UNSPRUNG MASS IS JUST SO MUCH MORE COMPLIANT" but the fact that you don't blindly fall for the placebo is even more impressive, and shows how serious you are about actually improving upon the bike's performance. Keep doing that and keep after your goal. Cheers from Mt. Penn!
So glad there is a season 2. Good luck dude.
Very nice, Neko. I like your idea about testing the softer rear triangle too. If performance "feel" differences were negligible but you save 800g in unsprung weight AND get more reliable alignment and parts fit, you've found a great net positive. You are indeed lucky to have the circle of folks working with you on this project, and it's great watching your development.
Thanks WWC for helping Neko, I already bought from you and loved your company but helping a great guy makes me love you more.
Neko reminds me of Kimi Räikkönen... super chilled and relaxed, but a demon speed monster on the bike.
Amen to supporting Worlwide Cyclery!
Love it. Your drive dedication and determination are second to none. Can't wait to see what's next.
Love the vibe and format of your videos. Keep it up. Good luck this season!
That song and that narration takes me back to the classic Dana Brown film vibes. SO GOOD!
Lots of interesting info in there and great to see the journey unfiltered by marketing BS. Good luck this year!
I am so happy for you having the freedom to try out all this cool stuff.
Keep it up man.
T1N, Manu Chao & smashing DH bikes - a sweet trifecta!
Awesome to see you what doing with trails and bikes. Thanks
I'm guessing the 800g make not as big of a difference as one might hope because a lot of it is "on a short lever". The wheel itself, the brake etc. are all much further away from the suspension pivot, but the rear triangle is mostly in front of that.
Anyway, great video, always love the deep and honest insight of what goes into designing, testing and building a bike.
You're the best bike nerd I've never met Neko! Thanks again for bringing us along for the ride.
Great video. Love the candid comments on the actual vs expected outcomes of your experimentation. Looking forward to following along in 2023
I love these videos!! So much effort and great filming. Best of luck this year 🤘🏽
It’s one of the best thing, to see a dream com alive.
So thats where Dan Roberts went! his 'By The Numbers' articles were some of the best tech writing I've seen from MTB media. Cool to see the different manufacturing techniques being tested, have you looked at something like accelerometers on the axle and frame as a way to measure the influence of unsprung weight?
Rear shock position over time should give him that data.
@@Finnspin_unicycles that will show suspension movement relative to frame, which might show some differences, especially if you use an FFT to see what frequencies are affected, but it does assume the shock is able to respond to the faster inputs. Accelerometers would help isolate that the wheel is responding to the terrain due to the lighter swingarm, as opposed to the whole bike responding because it’s lighter overall.
It’s easy to forget just how much Neko shreds when he’s coming in ~60th on a prototype with cracks in the frame. Really looking forward to watching the progression as he gets the bike more dialed in this year!
You need more Titnaium to pair with your Carbon.
These videos keep getting better and better
You are an inspiration, keep it up!!! Cheers from Italy
looking forward to this coming season keep it up!
man, that transition from the store to the track with manu chao was something
Always love your edits but with Manu chao song, it's even better... 🤞 For 2023
Great choice of music with that me gusta tune. Love your videos!
man I cant believe those carpet fibers were waiting in that store the whole time. who knew! So pumped for you this season!
Thanks Neko, awesome video as always🤘
Nice video dude. Love your work. Also, great tune choice. Straight bangers :D
great music choices. what an enjoyable video
All my best wishes to this brand ✨💜
dude, buying rear carbon triangles in my own country, Portugal!!??!! Respect! U came to the right place! lol Have a great season!
Opening with Canned Heat and the season recap 👍. Damn I miss long form detailed articles. Your episodes are like reading a Dirt mag from the 90s when innovation was king and the marketeers hadn't latched on
this is what the grim donut wishes it could be
Awesome ride,... nice video shot,.. stay safely ride Neko
love these videos. what a guy
Great content guys! Extra point for Manu Chao!!
Such a cool project and process to follow. This is so easy to get behind and root for. Me gusta montar y me gustas tu!
I’m looking forward to season two!
Neko has the rear end and is going to go ride it for the first time.... Nice edit Logan
Such a feel good vibe to this, I now want to go ride my bike! Who knows, maybe I'll be able to buy a Framework's for my local DH trails one day
Tbh don't even care about the bike I just love the vibe of your videos lol
Amazing content. Side note, my last name is Lally and when the family was in Ireland it was Mulally. Love seeing the name on a U.S. jersey. 🤘🏼😎🤘🏼
Great Song!!! Rad Vid!!
Been using worldwide cyclery for the past 5 years at least. Glad they're giving you some support! Wish i could donate some $$ at checkout to support your program!
Great video, insight and bike riding. The acting though 😂😂😂😂
Damn Lousã looks good!
Amazing song choice @ 5:15
funny bit with the carpet fibers!
Yeah Neeks!
the production quality is mind blowing!
did you achieve any increases in cumulated rear-wheel movement with the 800g weight reduction? (with less inertia the wheel should follow the ground better and thus move more per stroke and also more overall) your data acquisition should give you that value and that should be a good indicator for how much improvement the weight reduction brought. this might be biased because of the better alignment and less friction/stiction tho...
also: in the automotive world as a rule of thumb only half the weight of the suspension arms is added to the unsprung mass.
The acting is porno-level, but the editing is sick. Respect 🙌 😂
Takes a lot to admit that the difference in riding wasn‘t as much as aspected. Being honest to yourself is crucial in development and with enough patience you will have a giant noticable change. Love the product. Would love to be able to buy your shirt in germany!!!
Great video, good luck for the 2023 season!
Dude, I'm in. I want the trail frame for next season. I'm up in the White Mountains of NH just north. Gorham/Berlin. I ride COOS Trails.
Can we get links to some of your playlists in here? The music is consistently great in your videos.
🤘🏻
Awesome video! Where did you get the rear triangle made
Good actors
Ponte de Lima is really demanding. I often say that if you can ride that track properly you can easily run in any other portuguese track.
Nose heavy landing and the 40 lands very well
Great video! I just started posting also mostly stair bombs
@nico - Ok I see where this is going - carbon rear end, followed by carbon front end - followed by 'looks like a session' social media comments.
WHEN CAN WE BUY THE SECRET MAXXIS DHR II 2.5WT DH CASING!??!?
Can you do a vid on brakes? I feel like i constantly see you switching brakes!
I bet he has talked about it in a video and also - I think he is always on TRP
Wondering why you chose trp brakes in particular? If you were sponsored or prefer them for other reasons?
I think he's said in previous vids that by not being sponsored he can pick whatever he feels is best, and he must think TRP are where it's at?
I know its odd but the bike actually looks livelier with the c rear end
Name of the band/musicians playing this song?
I think it’s so sick that your going to pass on the $2.35 carpet fiber swing arms to customers!! Put me on the list!!!
Me gusta la marihuana.
Watching your journey from successful racer to frame/bike designer has been awesome.
