Gotta go with Ultra Instinct if Ego was given better boosts in power from damage rather than the tidbits he only gets then I would go with Ego but Ego only seems to allow Vegeta to basically get beat up but get a few good shots in before he loses and if an attack is too powerful he still is able to get one shot and the Ego ability is useless, Instinct is better balanced in terms of everything while Ego just seem to be tank form

Ego is good for opponents that are either equal or weaker than him it’s perfect for vegeta. Ultra Ego is used to abuse vegeta’s zenkai ability exactly what he’s been doing the whole time.
Depends on if the Ultra Ego power boost from damage is permanent or not. Because if its permanent its just going to pop off in the future.

Bruh ultra ego is basically the snack that bites back. Vegeta probably mentally trained by having 18 give him the treatment on repeat, probably was chuckling in a corner like, "I love to see that Damn robot break my arm now and see what happens" after he achieved it.

And it is reminiscent of his early Z self, using dmg taken to grow in power and being more destructive. Early Vegeta took all the punishment and kept getting up to eat some more.
The form is fine. It’s not nearly as developmental as Goku and UI, but it’s not like Vegeta hasn’t been destroying Goku in terms of character development for so long.

The issue with ultra ego is that there's nothing stopping a sufficiently powerful and/or skilled opponent from just dealing lethal or at least debilitating damage to Vegeta before the ego amps can actually do anything for him in a fight. What's stopping UI Goku from just breaking his arm then just beating his ass as he fights from a huge disadvantage? In an actual no holds barred fight, Vegeta is going to just get blitzed and be too damaged to even keep up with his own amps. We see in the manga that while Vegeta's ki is unbounded and can grow without limit, his body has clear limits and can't actually keep up with that growth.
On the other hand UI Goku auto improves in combat, seemingly to a somewhat lesser degree, and thrives on countering reckless opponents, like UE. Sure it gets less precise over time due to stamina loss, but all Goku really needs to do is deal significant damage to Vegeta in UI, then revert to a form that eats far less stamina and outlast him.
What intrigues me though is that God kid has been shown to have regeneration or healing of some form many times in the past. Which means if goku and vegeta manage to master that healing factor, they could eliminate the very weaknesses that make UI and UE double edged swords. Like what if someone breaks vegeta’s arms and he takes the boost from the damage but just heals it with god KI. I feel like the Gods of destruction have mastered this; which is why they can be rivaled and some points but ultimately never defeated. You’ll never get close even if you could match their physical strength and speed.

I disagree with Six on his thoughts on Wanda vs Palpatine. It is true that Wanda is powerful, has crazy feats in the comics but none compare to Palpatine's EU scaling. He can perfectly control Force Storms, which can destroy the fabric of the space-time continuum by opening dimensional rifts in the universe, are known to one of the most powerful force abilities in the verse and when combined a Sith artifact, can manipulate time and affect hyperspace.
This could theoretically push the Force Storm ability to 4D or nigh 4D, making this feat scale way above anything the Scarlet Witch has done currently. EU Palpatine is closer to the big kids than the Avengers or part-timers.

Moro Arc: Entire point was to master his emotions and UI
Granola Arc: Beginning used UI with all his old forms gets bodied, Used Silver we learn silver loses efficiency after a period of time, gets bodied.
In the latest chapter he goes back to using Omen, because to use Mastered he has to control his emotions. But because he sucks at it he downgrades, he sacrificed the better amp because he can express his emotions freely.
Then what was the point to even having Goku master it?
Your own misunderstanding is the reason you're confused. His training with Merus was just so he could tap into it at will. He still needs to work on controlling it. Hence the training he was doing with Whis in the beginning of the arc, where Whis even tells him that he needs to work on it.
There's nothing inconsistent going on here. It's the fans attention span and comprehension.

Normally I would agree but seeing ss2 Magin vegeta self destruct and only create a crator makes me question the strength of the verse. It is very possible that freezes just used his beams to hit a planets core causing it to explode. That would mean that he is not even really have the power to destroy a planet by his self

It's really all depending on the plot to be honest. When Ultra Ego debuted it was far stronger than MUI Goku. Remember MUI was easily beaten by Granola, but then Vegeta uses Ego and beats Granola.
However you flash forward a few chapters and Gas soundly beats Vegeta meanwhile Goku is using Omen UI and he's doing much better than Vegeta.
So yeah, it seems to be plot based and completely lacking in power scaling logic, unless the explanation is "it depends on the opponent"

Vegeta started off alot weaker than Gas. Then after taking a bit of damage he could hurt Gas shocking both Goku & Gas. Same with Granolah, Vegeta was rapidly increasing in power & almost made Granolah go suicide. Call it what you want the point is his power increases drastically in that form after receiving damage.

@@ibreathairunfortunatelyish4444 Im saying it functions like a Zenkai boost but its in the middle of battle. Saiyans can literally evolve in the middle combat by pushing themselves. Zenkai boost happens post battle, Ultra Ego strengthens him per injury/damage sustained during battle. Its essentially a mid battle Zenkai boost they basically function the same.
Of course Ultra Ego Vegeta has a damage limit hes not invincible 😑, but in Ultra Ego Vegeta says (it) has no limits meaning he can keep growing stronger while its active. Saiyans pushing themselves can increase their power, & now you add Vegeta's damage empowerment, its essentially a rapid Zenkai boost lol.

Too bad that Goku's Saiyan instinct already surpassed Vegeta's ultra ego form.. Goku's MUI form is irrelevant since his omen form has a far larger boost in speed, power and durability that MUI.
That’s not the reason why he downgraded. He did it because to use MUI he has to be devoid of emotion. That clashes with his personality too much thus he can’t use it to it’s full potential, so he uses Omen instead.
