I love how you describe it... "I am not good at making milk, but its ok because its great at other things." I love this mentality. I feel like people put so much unnecessary pressure on breastfeeding & it can spiral into an unhealthy head space.
Yes! I am a firm believer in Brest feeding but with my second baby he just wasn’t growing I was HEART BROKEN when they told me he HAD to be put on formula people don’t understand how hard it is the whole “Brest feeding is the best thing y out can do for your baby” while yes that’s true sometimes that’s not an option in order to have a growing healthy baby
I’m so glad Jordan shared her milk struggles. I don’t breast feed because I struggle to make milk on top of being super stressed and uncomfortable with it! Its so nice to hear someone say, “Do what you gotta do!”
If women's bodies failed to make milk as much as society says they do we would have long since ceased to exist as a human race. Simply put the biggest problem with moms and breastmilk is that it is supply and demand. Jordan is so busy she doesn't slow down enough in the beginning to nurse often enough to get a good supply going. I have seen the schedule videos she did when she had very small babies. Sometimes newborns eat every hour during a growth spurt. If you are willing to feed that often (or pump often enough to make enough milk) then sure, you will need formula.
That was my thought as well, I command her for not succumbing to stereotypes and unnecessary mom shaming. Her body knows how to carry a baby and get it to a healthy point, doesn't matter if it does not turn into a milk factory, no one cares, and that is a healthy mindset to have. In my culture, we don't put so much emphasis on breastfeeding, my mom used to stop as soon as we would start biting lol
I have 2.5 month old triplets. My advice is nothing that you dont already know: relax, things aren't ever perfect and expecting them to be so would just add stress.
@@amyheelis-cannon811 wow i only started having kids in 2006 at 17 though lost two of mine i have 9 on earth i am 31 this year i would had 13 year old and 11 year also have 10 year old, 9 year old twins , 6 year old, 5 year old 4 year old 19 month old and twins who are almost 7 weeks. yes big family god has blessed us
My Grandmother told me that the twins were the easiest to raise out of five others, Let them sleep together because they will suck each others thumbs and will cuddle each other and sleep thru the night. They will entertain each other and you don't have too. They babysit each other all of the time. I hope you have twins that will do all of this!!! I thought this was so interesting Had to share!!!
We have Irish triplets (The babies were born 25 months apart) The 2 older babies are the same age for 5 days (Irish twins) we can not separate them for anything! The baby girl climbs in the baby boys crib to sleep with him. They are also Leos so they have a love/hate fun relationship.
Yes this works wonders I have 5 singles and a set of twins they were awsome babies just do everything at the same time find a routine and schedule that works and stick to it
The hardest part for me having more kids is feeling like I’m missing out on the ones I already have while I’m pregnant. Thanks for being open about how you feel about pregnancy and babies. ♥️
Craigand Amber I feel the same! My oldest one (2.5 yr old) learned not to ask me to do the fun stuff eg picking her up, chasing her or any sort of physical play during my pregnancy and even after that. I feel like I missed out on important bonding opportunities.
Ladies, my mother just said yesterday that she feels guilty about having three kids so close together that she couldn't give us the individual attention we all needed. I reminded her that we all got to grow up TOGETHER as siblings and wouldn't have wanted it any other way.
Twin momma here! They are so much fun and it is absolutely amazing to watch the bond that they have with each other 😊 Best advice I ever got, "Make sure that if one baby is awake that you wake up the other one or you will never sleep again!" My twins were on the exact same schedule, they ate, slept, and pooped at the same time...you do not realize how important that is until you are 4 hours deep in to feedings, burpings, rockings, & diaper changes @ 3 a.m. that never end!
Disagree! 😂 twin mom here with older siblings, we let every baby have its own schedule since they are two individuals with individual needs, but we also co- slept and breastfed, that might have helped.
@@partyof.7298 so glad that worked for you! I breastfed and co-slept as well but my gosh, if we hadn't had a schedule I'm not sure we would have made it through!
Twin mama here (also have two singletons) We didn't think about having them on the same schedule. A few weeks in and I was a ZOMBIE. I was on a constant cycle of meeting the needs of one after another. I would definetly advise getting them on the same schedule as soon as possible.
When you got emotional about being miserable- this made me feel so. Much. Better. I’m pregnant with my second and I can’t fathom my life most days. My toddler is insane. Im a stay at home mom. My dog needs constant attention. I look at people like you and sometimes feel insanely inadequate. But thank you for a vulnerable moment and good reminder about social media. 💓
You'll get in the groove. Going from my 1st to my 2nd was easy. They are 8 years apart. And the oldest is a very girl. Going from my 2nd to my 3rd was crazy. They are 4 years apart and both boys. So my kids are now ages 13, 5 and 1. The first year with 2 boys was tough. My middle son is extremely high energy. Very busy. Goes non stop. I work full time and am on call 24/7. We have no family in the area so if their daycare is closed they go to work with me. Or I sometimes can adjust my schedule to work from home. I keep my house picked up but my standards are definitely lower than they were 2 kids ago. 😂 Hang in there. You've got this! ❤
Yes it’s tough I’m a stay at home mom as well and my children are 9,7,5,3 and 11 months😅 both my grandmothers on my mother and fathers side had a set of boy/girl twins. I am hoping I get this blessing. And even though my team of 5 drive me up and down and all around. I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Just think one day when we are old we will see all of our hard work through their beautiful characters. But even before we are old we will see it. When I think about the women who struggle to even get pregnant and we have been bless with pregnancy after pregnancy how Generous God is. Don’t feel bad we will get through the overwhelming days.💞💕💞💕💞💕
I’m also one half of a twin (boy and girl) and we’re also with 8 siblings in total.. What are the chances! You’re gonna be okay ;) You can ask the older ones to help you out. We are now all grown up people and had nothing short in our lives. We all had the chance to go to college if we wanted to and we all have good jobs that give us the chance to go our own way in life :) The problem is not in how many kids you have but how you choose to raise them. I think you’re doing just fine :)
i am twin i have twin sister fertrtnal and have two sets of twins one identical and yet to determine the babies as they doing genetics test to see i also have 5 other kids. big families are the best
This is so interesting! I am also a twin (I'm the girl, my twin is the boy). We are also from a family of 8 kids! 5 girls and 3 boys all grownups now. My 4 sisters and I together have 19 kids😁none of my brothers have kids yet, but my husband and I would love to have more kids! God has blessed us with a son and daughter so far!
@@annabelsmith4598 wow i have 9 my twin has 2 on way her first. my sister has 7 nearly my brother has nearly 4 my other brother has 2 and little sister only 13 so to young. well if god bless me and husband with more we will have more. my mom has 5 my dad has 6 as the 13 year old is my half sister. my dad one of 17 my mom one of 9 . my grandad has so many great grandkids yet has 14 grandkids only one of them has no kids.
I'm a twin grandma. Two 2 year old fraternal boys. Now they have a little sister, who is 6 months. i love how down to earth and real you are. twins are a lot of work, but double the blessing. Your older children will be getting to the age where they will be able to help more. Families truly are a blessing, and you are multiply blessed :D
Twin mom here: I nursed mine with back to back feedings. Tandem was a great idea, but burping babies part of the way through was very challenging, especially when they were tiny with no head support and falling asleep during feedings. I had one who would spit up terribly. It was just easier to do them one after the other. When one woke up for feeding during the night, I would wake the other right after so everyone could be fed and go back down to sleep.
Creative Minds Homeschool This is exactly my advice as well. I have b/g twins and 4 others. I tried tandem nursing at first but they are so floppy! And yes, waking up the second baby to eat is my number one advice for twin mommas. It goes against your nature to wake a sleeping baby, though!
My identical twins are ten years old now. They have been such a blessing to our family. They really weren’t any harder than my singleton babies.....everything just took longer. It’s not as hard as you would think because they’re always in the same stage of life. Blessings to you and your sweet family!
I too said to my husband near the end of pregnancy with baby #2, “Don’t let me do this again! This is it!” Well, we had two more babies after that, all singletons to round out our brood of 4. Love them all! Wish I would have started earlier and I would have had more. However, baby #1 came when I was 30 and baby #4 came when I as 39. I’m now 58 (59 on the 22nd of this month 😳) and my “baby” will be 20 in May. Whew. Three girls and one boy. Blessings to you and yours.
I love that you never take your babies for granted. I suffer with infertility, I have been blessed with one, and been doing fertility treatments for 5 years now.
I've been a multiples nanny for years. My biggest piece of advice is take all of the help! Hire help, beg for help, accept the help lol I'm sure you know that but it's always worth saying. Also, if you can get your twins on the same schedule and keep them there (usually a professional nanny, dula, or sleep specialist can help after the first couple months of survival) is going to go so far! This will help you to get more done because you wont be constantly bouncing from twin to twin for sleeping and eating schedules. And just enjoy yourself, try to find time to love yourself and love those sweet babies! They're only that size for so long and it's truly magical ❤
You're doing great! Twins are so fun and you just do everything twice, (diapers, feeding etc) which is easier than it sounds--it's like doing it once but it just takes a little longer. I would nurse one (of my fraternal twins) while giving a bottle to the other and then switch. I didn't like nursing them at the same time...I wanted that "special time" with each one. Your babies will be so entertained watching the other kids and it keeps them happy which is such a huge help! One thing I do remember...when I was "home alone", having a safe place to put the twins in (like a playpen or whatever they have now) was a lifesaver for me if I had to run out of the room for any reason or in case my 3 1/2 year old needed me in the other room. I knew the babies were safe and they are comforted by having each other anyway. We're so excited for you! Sending so much love!
Jordan, I really appreciated that you mentioned being open to adoption. I think that there are so many children who need homes and if you have the ability/desire to grow your family that is a wonderful way of doing it
My eight year old daughter watched a few minutes of this video with me tonight, and during bedtime prayers she asked that we pray for you and your babies. 😊 Wishing you a healthy rest of your pregnancy and easy (as possible) delivery and recovery!
When I was pregnant with twins, my midwife said that full term for twins was 38 weeks. They cook faster! Mine came at 38 weeks plus one day! I’ll be praying for you and the babies.
I'm pregnant with my first child, 28 weeks. I was told my whole life I couldn't have kids, and it's been an insane ride, I finally gave up on it and here I am now Happy for my baby, I prayed so hard for all my life. AND I love your videos. Truly, it makes me less scared and freaked out. Thank you so much.
Hi Jordan! As a mom of triplets my advice to you in this moment of "calm before the storm" is to familiarize yourself with what to expect in the NICU. With luck your babies will spend very little time there, or maybe even none at all. But statistically, they are likely to be there for at least a few days. The NICU can be scary and overwhelming for parents. Lots of alarms, beeps, and buzzing, tiny babies hooked to giant machines, etc. It's all good, and the very best place for your littles to be if they need to be there, but still scary (especially when you have all those pregnancy hormones raging around inside you!). There are several good books out there, so you might want to just browse through one of them to see what might be in store. It's all gonna be fine in the end, just keep your chin up! God bless you and your family! :)
I've always had a heart for twins too. A part of me grieves a little every first ultrasound when they announce "it's just one" We have 5 singletons so far. I love your videos and look forward to them every week.
“a little square of edited bliss” = not reality 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 I wish I had ditched the perfectionism when my kids were young. I finally crashed when they were teenagers. I lost about 18 mos. to depression but it taught me the most beautiful but painful lessons and ultimately I’m grateful for the experience. No regrets! They are 26, 25 and 21 now and becoming parents themselves. I get a re-do as a grandma and it’s wonderful. You are helping so many people with your openness. Thank you! ❤️ Best of luck to your beautiful family!
I had 4 children in 6 yrs. You do what you have to do. Trust in God. I worked part-time, was a Cherub Choir Director of (2 yr olds through 2nd grade)...yes 2 year olds!!! Back then was a budget, a schedule, learning as I went along. My husband worked a lot which left me doing things alone but truthfully, it worked for me. You pray a lot and go with the flow. I actually miss those crazy moments. My children are now 42-40-38-36. 7 grandkids.... life is good!! Blessings to you!!
@@jordanpagecompany I feel sorry for your kids. You give them 14 pieces of cereal a day to say money! They would be starving! Watch this video ua-cam.com/video/D0eb7KBSD1s/v-deo.html Such a cheapskate!
Isnt she such a beautiful momma ? I mean she adores her kids and she definitely dont take it for granted. She talks about her deep empathy for people she knows with trouble having kids ! . You are a beautiful soul .
I’ve literally seen the phrase “Any woman can breastfeed!” on posters and stuff. It makes me want to pull my hair out. Not every woman can, and not every woman who can SHOULD. 🙋🏼♀️ So I appreciate that you were so open about it! Hopefully the breastfeeding sanctimommies don’t attack you. I’m so sorry this pregnancy has been so darn hard 😞 but thank you so much for sharing your heart and experience with us. It’s way too easy to compare ourselves to each other, and assume that you’re superhuman. ❤️
I couldn't produce a drop for either of my kids and I still feel serious mom guilt about it. I had a lactation specialist who made me feel like the worst mother in the world, basically told me not to feed my baby till I started producing milk.
Crystal Flannery Same, people who produce milk easily have no clue. They just tell us to continue to feed all day and never supplement.. blah blah. I tried all of that and my first baby’s pics he looks scary skinny because I didn’t supplement the whole first month because of a lactation specialist telling me that. My second baby I hoped to produce more but was fast to supplement when I knew he was still hungry. I wish more people knew that not everyone can produce enough even if you do all of the tips. And that there’s nothing wrong with supplementing.
I tried everything. Extra water, lactation tea, lactation cookies, lactation candy, pumping constantly, mammary massage. Nothing worked. Even with my first baby I didn't listen when the specialist told me not to supplement. I kinda gave hear the middle finger over the phone and went and bought formula. I may be young but I'm not dumb.
I’m 4 months postpartum now, and we wanted twins so badly, our daughter is our last baby 😭😭😭😭 but we also had to go through fertility treatments to have her. I had dreams for years that I would have twin boys ( Canaan and Cash) while we were going through infertility. But I’m so overwhelmed with love for my daughter. God chose her for us and he was so right to send her to us. She has brought so much joy to our family
I love all your transparency and honesty with this pregnancy. We have a 9 year old (about to turn ten) and a 4 year old and I am 12 weeks with twins. It's so comforting seeing your journey and it's also fun to see what I have to look forward to and what works for you when your blessings come. We are excited but also very nervous for our twins! Congrats on your prayed for blessing!
congrats twin mama from another twin mama i just had my 8th and 9th nearly 7 weeks ago girls and have another set twins so i kind pro to it. it can be hard some days but tell you it all worth it
Twins are fun! I have 2 sets, 1 pair of 5 year olds and a pair of 1 year olds. They become their own best friends and the big kids are great helpers! With twins if they eat and sleep at the same time they sync up well and it makes life a LOT easier!
Im a mom of almost 10 year old twins. My major advice is when one wakes up to eat in the middle of the night wake the other if they are sleeping...it was amazing to get them synched on the same schedule and leads to more duration of sleep at one time for you.
The way you answered the questions was genuine and such beautifully articulated. My God I’m not a mother yet but wow blessings to you and your family. 🙏🏽❣️
Jordan,my parents had 7 kids. They were poor when my brothers and sisters were young, but we all somehow made it through. Now our parents have passed and we are so grateful that we have each other. Cant imagine life without them!!!!!
I so appreciate how you are honest with all the highs and lows of this pregnancy! I'm due midMarch (with just one!) and I am looking forward to following you as you raise your twins!
Momma of twin now 13 year old boys. My advice to any new momma is to take your time to find your new normal. What I learned from having twins is to let go. Accept help, even ask for it. And sometimes you can look into the future but sometimes all you can do is look to the next breathe. Oh and if you have 2 crying babies, fix the first one completely before getting the second one, otherwise the first will start back up again. The second one will be okay. I learned to tandem breastfeed very quickly, which helped
Oh! Biggest tip is don’t tell your kids no all the time. Steer them in the right direction and let them BE!!! It expands there mind and hunger for knowledge. I have always loved my twins, good luck you’ll do great!
I needed to hear the “superhumans don’t exist”..... I’m a mom to one and going to add twins next, through IVF, but I feel like I’m drowning sometimes. I’ve been super sick, my house is a disaster and my baby is crying
Ask for help mama!! Ask someone to help you clean the house, do the laundry, give your oldest a bath... Don't feel like you can't ask for help. One day at a time. You'll be fine.
Liliana Marques I agree. I know how hard it is to ask for help, but your fiends and family are waiting for you to say the word. Please reach out and ask!
Seriously dont feel bad if you need or want to ask for help. I would be going insane if I didn't have help once a week. And I only have my twins. I could not imagine being pregnant with twins AND have another baby to take care of. You are already doing amazing momma ❤
As a mom to a 24 week preemie who is struggling ttc #2. I love watching you and your family but sometimes it's hard. Sometimes it sucks. This video helped. Your gratitude and appreciation towards pregnancy is so positive. You are so lucky. ❤
Yeah, when she said that I was like, "is it really?" lol I thought I was going to get at least 3 more questions answered. I don't know what the questions were but I felt like 3 more were coming. :)
I became a first time mom with my twin boys. They are now 9 years old and I’m loving every minute of it. They were premies, they stayed in the NICU for about a month. It was a bitter sweet situation, I hated having to go home without them, but while I was there, the nurses taught me to care for them and how to keep them in a 30 minutes feeding gaps. I never had them crying at the same time, I stuck with the 30minute gap schedule and took my time feeding them individually and enjoyed them one at a time. You’ll do great, your already an awesome mom and great schedule keeper , enjoy your babies ☺️☺️
Jordan you are so inspiring to listen to while I do chores and kids rest. My husband and I were unable to have children so went to adopt and ended up with triplets. Two weeks after the birth of the triplets I found out that I was pregnant and seven months later I delivered boy/girl twins (5 blessings in 7-1/2 months). Now homeschooling mom of six and love listening to you on UA-cam. My best piece of advice is to take alllll help that is offered. Think outside the box for ways to use the help that is offered...some people might not be good at one thing but great to help in another way. I love it when moms see children as a blessing from God! 💕 Thanks for all your encouraging content. A grateful mom!
I have 3 year old twins and a one year old. They are so much fun and challenging at the same time. Go with the flow and enjoy except help when someone offers.
Thanks for the reminder that no one is a super human. I am a mom of three girls ages 8,3 1/2, and 5 months. I work 4 days outside of my home, and opposite shifts from my husband so we don’t have to pay for child care. I am struggling daily, but this was a good reminder that mom’ing is hard, and it’s perfectly fine that I don’t always have it all together. Congrats! I love your channel!
I don't have kids yet and I'm one of those who are hoping for twins. I know it'll be a huge challenge (and expensive) but you find a way to make it work. Good luck mama!
I have boy girl twins (they are now 21 years old). The BIGGEST blessing in life. So fun. I gave birth (vag delivery- baby girl was head down and first out) at 37 weeks. My best advice is PUT THEM BOTH ON THE SAME SCHEDULE....whoever is the best eater, sleeper- let that one be the pace setter. Wake the other one up at that time and feed them both. This worked AWESOME for us, right off the bat. It was the best advice anyone ever gave us.
She's awesome, really. Jordan has helped me SO MUCH, I can't even go into it coz it would take too long but I have so much respect for this lady. God bless you Jordan. Xx
I have 3 kids, all girls! 6,5 & 1. I’ve only ever wanted 3 kids, my youngest child has a rare genetic disorder called Beckwith-Wiedemann syndrome and is medically needy. Having a medically needy child had solidified to me that she is our last one. I really admire your philosophy when it comes to your family
I literally laughed out loud when you said you aim for a “B” when you talked about being a perfectionist. I guess I always thought I should aim for the stars and then accept when I fall short. That certainly leads to disappointment and self doubt. Great advice and you prove that “B” does create amazing results. Particularly with things that really aren’t that important! Good luck with everything!
My fraternal twins are 11 year olds, just listening to this brings back memories. For the past few years, they've been asking and praying for a sister or twin sisters, so whatever the good Lord wills for my hubby and I, will be.
For breastfeeding, my Mom says breastfeed at the same time. The double football hold and then just relax. Then you aren't nursing 24/7. I can totally relate with breastfeeding. You can only do what you can do. 💖
You are going to do wonderful!!!!! I have twin 11 yr olds and I think the best advice given to me was to train them both to be on the same feeding schedule as soon as you can after birth, otherwise it’s nuts especially at night because you’ll feel like you’re feeding them around the clock. I can’t wait to see your precious babies!!
I'm a twin momma. My boy girl twins are 9, and I can relate to a lot of what you said. I too always wanted twins. When I was young I always had to have 2 baby's, and I remember in high school I would always say I want twins a boy and a girl, but yet so shocked when it actually happened. If I had to give any sort or advice would be. The says "dont wake a sleeping baby" throw that out the window. At birth if one wakes up you tend to that ones needs and go wake the other up.. I was told this and I was so blessed. My twins were basically on the same schedule by the time they were 3 months. Good luck to all of you. I pray you have a healthy rest of your pregnancy and your babies have 0 NICU time. I carried until a day before I turned 38 weeks. Such a blessing.
Yes! I get pregnant very easily but can’t produce milk. 🤷🏻♀️ fed is best! I’m so excited for you guys & to see the comparisons between twin labor and “Singleton” labor!
So strange. I was told by two OB/GYN docs I could never have children (severe hormone imbalance and "infantile uterus") where I had only about 5 or 6 periods ever, before baby #1. God had other plans...i had two beautiful babies a few years apart, and made enough milk to feed several more. They couldn't swallow fast enough. God knows best.
I appreciate your down-to-earth advice about breast feeding. Once over the initial adjustment period I breast fed my daughter just fine, but then with my second it never stopped hurting and after a couple of months I had to go to formula. Mothers should never be shamed about breast feeding decisions.
Thank you for motivating me!!! I only have one child but I constantly question my parenting skills....You give me faith in myself in all that I do and provide for my family. I love your mom skills!!!
Congratulations on the twins! I love how you emphasize that you’re not super human so that other moms know you don’t do it alone. Mom of 3, + 2 miscarriages and 1 stillbirth in the last two years. Hoping & praying for another one but trying to use your mentality “only time will tell” ❤️❤️❤️
Hey Jordan I'm so blessed to be watching your videos now. Since my hubby and I were courting, we established that we both wanted boy girl twins. We have been praying to the Lord for them, and God heard us over these 6 years of prayer. We are now 8weeks pregnant with twins. We are so excited. I'm learning alot from the way you do life with the kids and with your hubby. Pregnancy is a gift from God for sure. And I love that you mention this. I will try my best to also not complain about the tough parts but make most of all the great moments.
My take away message from this was when you spoke about being an anti perfectionist! That resonated with me, I’m a mom of 4; I also work from home full time, I homeschool, and I recently started college. It is DANG hard. I got B’s in my classes, and you know what? That’s OK! I’m mommin’, working, schooling, & my people eat! Thanks Jordan! ❤️
The Freeze Dry Queen Wow, You are an incredible mom! That’s an overload. I was homeschooled in a family of five, but my mom was done college and we were her full time job. Congratulations on your B’s. Honestly that’s incredible! Keep it up and remember to take deep breaths. It can be hard, but you work harder. :) I hope you can get some help sometimes!!
The Freeze Dry Queen love your comment! How amazing! Keep it going momma! I homeschool my 5 year old and I work from home part time and I love to do both! Now that I’m pregnant with my second it’s been hard with feeling sick/fatigued/etc. (hubby helps when he’s not at work) but comments like yours keep me going!
Twin mama here, you so have the energy for this!! One thing that helped me a lot in the last few months of twin pregnancy was the Brewer Twin Diet- it helps keep them in as long as possible. My first (Singleton) was a 33 weeker and my twins were born at 38 weeks. The Valco Tri-Mode Twin Stroller was a life saver stroller for 3 littles. One thing that helped a lot was having a night nanny once a week. She would come at 9 pm, wash and fold kids laundry, feed the twins during the night and my husband and I would sleep for 8 blissful hours..or as long as I could without nursing anyway. I'm sure you've read this but when one is hungry, wake up and feed the other one, it will help you in the long run. Enjoy every minute and take lots of pictures, because you won't remember the first year. If there weren't pictures to document that first year I couldn't even tell you whose house we went to for Christmas. ;-)
I’m the opposite, we struggled to get pregnant 7 times and only have two living children BUT I’m a dang milk cow!!! Like holy milk came in before leaving the hospital both times!!! Like mastitis in the first two weeks because baby couldn’t empty them!!
Same here girl!!! I had my baby last summer (one baby) and you would have thought I was feeding quadruplets!! I was always engorged and constantly just pouring out milk every second of the day.
Me too - Our first daughter was born at 23 6/7 weeks into the pregnancy and died - she would have been 18 this year (2020), then miscarriage after miscarriage, then lost another at 10 weeks, then spent 93 days in the hospital to get our now 12 year old daughter to the world. Breastfeeding - dang I was a milk cow. 16 oz off each breast when I had to pump for my daughters when they were in the hospitals.
I have 14 month old twins . The best advice anyone gave me was to accept help and sleep when you can . The last time I had a baby sitter I spent the time sleeping and it was the best thing ever!
I’m currently in early labour with my first and spending the waiting time binging your videos and then I got your notification 💗 edit: I’m having a singleton pregnancy
God bless you and your precious babies, may your delivery be amazing. Enjoy the litte cutie (s), babies are perfect in everyway. I'm so broody, I have two boys (3 and 4 years) and I'm praying for a girl. Xx
Love this! “I’m anti perfection” and “ask what is most important thing I could be doing right now”. New homeschooling Momma of four (in four years) and love your tips SO much. Kids really are a blessing but having a funky sense of humour and lots of support sure makes the experience so much better. Please keep it coming 😊
Sorry long comment! 🙈 Im sure you know this already but be prepared that you may need to stay in hospital for a while! (Which makes things sooo hard with other kids and spouse!!!) My first born was prem at 33 weeks and we were seriously not expecting it. I literally went to the hospital with my notes and that's it!!! (Didnt take a wallet or anything!) He was in hospital for 3 weeks which I spent pretty much all my time there except for the few nights I was basically sent home because they didnt have space for me and I just left REALLY late and got back up there REALLY early. (Leaving them is HARD!) But he was my only child so could spend all my time there. Second child was born with a congenital heart defect which required open heart surgery when she was born (luckily this was detected during pregnancy so we came prepared!). She was also in for 3 weeks (had the surgery at 13 days old) and it was soooo much harder as I couldnt just stay at the hospital all the time because i had another child to spend time with!! So although we stayed in accommodation by the hospital splitting time between babies bedside/and the other child (or in your case children) is not only tough on you and the kids (seriously mum guilt gets real!!) But I found me and husband hardly saw each other because we were constantly tag teaming, one at the bedside, while the other spent time with our son and then we'd swap. It was tough. Not saying this to scare you and I hope you can go as full term as possible and come home with gorgeous healthy babies straight away 🤞but if they are likely to be prem, then I'd definitely make a plan that would involve a hospital stay! And how to divide your time between babies, older kids and husband! And if if that does happen just remember it feels like forever at the time but it's actually such a short time in the long run! Good luck guys, wishing you all the best and cant wait to see the little cuties when you're ready too! ❤💙
I also had preemies with my second pregnancy. I was in the hospital july 22 with them due to arrive in October. Surprise I went into labour In August. At 29 weeks. Terrible delivery lost kne at 5 days old then had to be away from home for an additional 2 months until my baby was strong enough to go home. I had a three year old at home that didn't see me for most of 3 months as I was 7 hours away from home for 2 months, then two hours away from home for 1 month. But it wicked hard but you do what you need to do. Hope your children are healthy now.
Awww that sounds awful! Poor you! Both of mine are fine now! To look at them, (minus my daughters scar,) you would never know anything happened when they were born! They're both mental and happily running rings around mummy! 😂
My sister had fraternal twin boys 2 years ago. She made it to 36 weeks almost. She delivered them vaginally, they’re born an hour and a half apart. She ended up hemorrhaging a few days after and needed her uterus removed after. She was sos sick she couldn’t breast feed. They were formula fed by their dad when my site was in bed recovering. They’re such a blessing.
i have been following ur youtube channel for few years. having more kids is a real blessing. i love watching people have kids while i'm praying for my turn. i love ur beautiful family and wish to have a big family one day. 💔
My younger sister worked as a baby nurse years ago. She would arrive at a families home at bed time and stay up with the baby, as needed, through the night. She would bring the baby to the mother a nursing time, otherwise, the mother slept. This was in Atlanta and she worked for a company. A wonderful thing is you can budget for It!
Ahh I can’t wait to “meet” those babies!! 😍 I can’t imagine how busy it must be having twin babies! I know you’ll rock at it like you do at everything else!
By four months I thought I was going to lose my mind because I was just going from baby to baby without a break. Then someone told me to keep the twins within 15 minutes of each other for wake up times etc. . Sticking to that within reason REALLY helped!
I bought my girlfriend the breastfeeding feeding pillow that was featured on shark tank 4 or 5 years ago and she loved it for her twins she said so worth it
Having 8, is an absolute dream, you have blessed the earth with 8 wonderful gifts 🎁, I’m 3 weeks in, with my second pregnancy and my fingers and toes are crossed 🤞🏽 for twins.
Jordan, what you said about wanting twins resonates so strongly with me. I've also felt so strongly about twins since I was little. When I got married, I found out my husband feels the same way. I would feel so incredibly blessed if twins did come to our family someday. We are just starting to try for children, and I'm excited to see what the Lord has in store for our future. Thank you so much for sharing your story, your experiences and your inspiration. You've created a community that I love being a part of!!
Even if you were feeling dissapointed... Thats normal! Sometimes pregnancy isn't always joyful and fun, the baby at the end is the gift but your allowed to feel valid feelings. I got pregnant after planned B failed and I was full of anxiety and shame I didn't use better protection and honestly just not hapoy I was pregnant again. Now at 33 weeks I'm so excited to meet my little boy. ❤❤
You’re amazing I love how you answer every single question and I bet how exhausted you are... I have 3 boys and people ask me how I do it and man is hard especially when my husband work 10-12hrs so I’m solo most of the time... But I believe God has made us mom soooo especially strong 💪🏼 and powerful to be able to get through all of this and more 🤗♥️
I'm in the exact same boat. Wow is it a struggle. My husband and I finally came to an agreement that once every week (usually Sundays) I get a 2-3 hour break while he watches the boys. And come hell or high water, I am getting that break! (It's actually what I'm doing right now, lol.)
MsTooteh LMAO!!! Yaaaasss us too and we have even started to “date” each other again at least once a month we go somewhere without the kids and believe it has helped us a lot in our marriage and just everything in general 😍🤗!!! Enjoy your break mama
I’ve just come upon your channel and HONESTLY your videos resonate with me on such a deep level. My productivity has been in the toilet since I had a huge career change and moved back in with my parents. I have no kids yet (except my boyfriend’s daughter / future stepdaughter!) but your videos make me so inspired. I just started my Total Money Makeover to get debt free and your family makes me SO inspired to keep pushing myself to be more productive and more frugal and simple! I want a big family and honestly your take on not worrying and letting go of things you can’t control just SPEAKS TO ME! Sorry for the novel. Just thank you ❤️
@7:40 @8:50 thinks while listening to this 1 - the arugula and the cream cheese and crackers is for the girl 2 - the pizza pockets are for the boy! BTW, anyone else notice how amazingly her bed colour coordinates her set up with hair makeup clothes? Nice styling Jordan! :-) pps your nails are on point also love the shade!
I have to chime in and say YEAH FOR EXTRA HELP! We were blessed to be able to hire someone when I was pregnant with my 4th and it has been an absolute GAME CHANGER. To have someone you trust with your kids to allow you a little time to breath, especially with a newborn(s), is so wonderful. Glad you guys are able to make it happen!
Thank you for acknowledging the people like me who suffer from infertility issues. Sometimes people with many children forget what a struggle it can be for some people.
Every pregnancy is a blessing, and it may never happen again, thus enjoy the aches n pains etc. Hospital bag, take lemon drops, or a fave hard candy. My mouth was always so dry in hospital, and it was a real treat while nursing/learning to nurse.
From my elementary school i was so excited when i would see twins. I always thought that having twins is the biggest blessing. And when i have found out i was pregnant with twins..... i cannot describe that amazing amazing feeling of happiness.
Regarding the always asked questsion: How do you do it? I am pregnant with my 6ths and what you said in another video totally stuck with me: After motivation comes dedication! I see that in you and I feel that in me. Love your videos!
I just found out about your channel and girl... 8 kids🙈 💕 I am pregnant for the first time and it takes a lot to adjust to it even though it's the best thing ever and I'm beyond grateful for it🤰 I can't imagine what being pregnant with twins is like. So much respect for you🤩🤩🤩
Another fun fact that I learnt when I was pregnant with my fraternal boy/girl twins is that twins only run through the female line. For example my dad or my grandfather couldn't make me release 2 eggs because they obviously don't release eggs
I love the bit about knowing that pregnancy is a gift and not falling into the complain trap. I'm pregnant with my third and this mindset plus self care keeps me off the couch all day ;) don't get me wrong i love my couch, but getting outside and staying busy also helps me with sickness and aches... lots of love to all the mamas and mamas to be out there
Congrats on your upcoming twins. I have identical twin boys who are now 14. Having twins is the best. It is very hard in the beginning though. I found that my twins were happier sleeping in the same crib or bassinet as long as they could fit together. They are so used to being together it is comforting for them. My other tip would be that if one baby wakes up to eat, wake up the other baby to eat at the same time. Otherwise you will get about 45 minutes sleep at a time through the night. I learned the hard way. Now that they are teenagers, I miss the baby stage. It goes so fast. I have two older children too who enjoyed helping out. Best wishes to you all.
Twin mama here, your right on track with taking it as it goes! You will do great with all the routines you already have in place in your life. It still will be hard but you are so capable! Number one thing I did was keep them in the same schedule. They eat/nap/play at the same time. Congrats! Twins are super fun!
@Bec Hermon they don't ask on a college application if you were breast fed or not is what a nurse told me when I was trying to breast feed.

My takeaway message 💛
Sending lots of love to you and yours 🤗
I have 2.5 month old triplets. My advice is nothing that you dont already know: relax, things aren't ever perfect and expecting them to be so would just add stress.
yes i agree i have two sets twins and 5 other kids too youngest twins be 7 weeks Monday.
I am a mom of 16 year old triplets.
@@amyheelis-cannon811 wow i only started having kids in 2006 at 17 though lost two of mine i have 9 on earth i am 31 this year i would had 13 year old and 11 year also have 10 year old, 9 year old twins , 6 year old, 5 year old 4 year old 19 month old and twins who are almost 7 weeks. yes big family god has blessed us
You guys are amazing!! I have 2 kids my youngest 11 mo and it is tough but I love it and would love multiples!!
We have Irish triplets
(The babies were born 25 months apart)
The 2 older babies are the same age for 5 days
(Irish twins) we can not separate them for anything! The baby girl climbs in the baby boys crib to sleep with him.
They are also Leos so they have a love/hate fun relationship.
My twins sleep together. They are 6 months 😊
They are so much fun and it is absolutely amazing to watch the bond that they have with each other 😊
Best advice I ever got, "Make sure that if one baby is awake that you wake up the other one or you will never sleep again!" My twins were on the exact same schedule, they ate, slept, and pooped at the same time...you do not realize how important that is until you are 4 hours deep in to feedings, burpings, rockings, & diaper changes @ 3 a.m. that never end!
What great advice! Thank you!!
@@jordanpagecompany completely agree. twin mama here. schedules are life (as you already know).
Hang in there, Mama!
Well she doesn't have a dog.
praying for you!!
Sending hugs! ❤️
I've been a multiples nanny for years. My biggest piece of advice is take all of the help! Hire help, beg for help, accept the help lol
I'm sure you know that but it's always worth saying.
😭 Love this so much! Tell her thank you for the prayers!
When I was pregnant with twins, my midwife said that full term for twins was 38 weeks. They cook faster! Mine came at 38 weeks plus one day! I’ll be praying for you and the babies.
They don't cook faster, there's just less room.
Thank you so much!
I've always had a heart for twins too. A part of me grieves a little every first ultrasound when they announce "it's just one" We have 5 singletons so far. I love your videos and look forward to them every week.
Kim Jay same here even though if I actually got them I’d have a few days of freak out
Same. I have twin step daughters which is great but always wanted that special moment 😍
“a little square of edited bliss” = not reality 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I wish I had ditched the perfectionism when my kids were young.

Such a cheapskate!
Yes! Not every woman can breastfeed. I couldn't either and was okay with the decision.
Agreed! Nothing wrong with breastfeeding but I personally chose not to. I preferred formula for mine.
The end of this made me tear up. 🥺 Sometimes it’s so hard to remember there are no super moms. I don’t think you could have answered that any better❤️
Twins are fun! I have 2 sets, 1 pair of 5 year olds and a pair of 1 year olds. They become their own best friends and the big kids are great helpers!
With twins if they eat and sleep at the same time they sync up well and it makes life a LOT easier!
Huge believer in cravings as well. Like PREGGO OR NOT! If you understand how to listen to your body this works very well
Im a mom of almost 10 year old twins.
I loved your answer for “are you done”. Speaks to the true nature of who you are!
You’re seriously amazing for even making it to a pregnancy, after enduring IVF! And then to endure a twin pregnancy!! 🦸♀️
Hang in there girl you will get through this!! It's just a season and one day this will be a distant memory!

No, wait! It’s playing on my Bluetooth speaker while I sweep and mop my apartment and I’m only half done!!😂
Yeah, when she said that I was like, "is it really?" lol I thought I was going to get at least 3 more questions answered. I don't know what the questions were but I felt like 3 more were coming. :)
heartmygeek Haha, yes! Whenever I get really into a video, they can be very long, but I always feel like they are short.😂
😂👌
I became a first time mom with my twin boys. They are now 9 years old and I’m loving every minute of it. They were premies, they stayed in the NICU for about a month. It was a bitter sweet situation, I hated having to go home without them, but while I was there, the nurses taught me to care for them and how to keep them in a 30 minutes feeding gaps. I never had them crying at the same time, I stuck with the 30minute gap schedule and took my time feeding them individually and enjoyed them one at a time. You’ll do great, your already an awesome mom and great schedule keeper , enjoy your babies ☺️☺️
I feel like having twins is just very efficient (twofer!) and fits right in with the rest of your life, Jordan. Congratulations!
Me whenever Jordan uploads:
*drops block schedule and meal planning printouts and runs to immediately watch*
Lol!
"I have a hundred million children" 🤣
Let It Roll that’s absolutely right! There’s nothing he can’t do!
Currently 38.2 and I legit broke down when you started talking about being superhuman ♥️♥️♥️😭😭😭
I can’t 😭😭😭♥️♥️♥️
😭❤️
Hey Jordan
I'm so blessed to be watching your videos now.
How exciting for you! Twins are so fun.
Same here 😁 the nurse in the hospital always said that I could feed a village with my breast milk 😁🤷🏼♀️
Anastasia Milan good advice. The breast milk will regulate. 🍀👍🏻
Anastasia Milan I did that and that’s how I ended up with mastitis. She was my second too! I nursed for a year with both of them!
I’m currently in early labour with my first and spending the waiting time binging your videos and then I got your notification 💗
edit: I’m having a singleton pregnancy
Congratulations!!
Good luck! I hope everything goes smoothly for you!
I wish you a safe delivery!
God bless you and your precious babies, may your delivery be amazing. Enjoy the litte cutie (s), babies are perfect in everyway. I'm so broody, I have two boys (3 and 4 years) and I'm praying for a girl. Xx
congrats hope goes well. i had hopfully my last babies twins in December. but cant say never i have anymore. i have 9 kids now
When you're wicked early and first. Big families are fun to watch and to see how they do things to keep order in place and chaos from taking over.
i have been following ur youtube channel for few years. having more kids is a real blessing. i love watching people have kids while i'm praying for my turn. i love ur beautiful family and wish to have a big family one day. 💔
Girl, your body was made to have babies... you look GORGEOUS!! 😍
You are TOO sweet! Thank you!!
Missed your q&a's!! Would love to see a return of Q&A Tuesday! (;
I’m so glad that I have a momma to follow that has a lot of kids like me we have 11
CRYSTALIGHTUS wow 😮 I Love big families. Bless you ❤️
😊 we have 10. Isn’t she great 👍🏻
Oh wow
My mum also has 11 I’m 14 and the oldest😂❤️
Just thank you ❤️
@7:40 @8:50 thinks while listening to this
1 - the arugula and the cream cheese and crackers is for the girl
2 - the pizza pockets are for the boy!
I hope you do a nursery reveal I'd love to see how you do their room.
8 kids🙈 💕
I am pregnant for the first time and it takes a lot to adjust to it even though it's the best thing ever and I'm beyond grateful for it🤰 I can't imagine what being pregnant with twins is like. So much respect for you🤩🤩🤩
Another fun fact that I learnt when I was pregnant with my fraternal boy/girl twins is that twins only run through the female line. For example my dad or my grandfather couldn't make me release 2 eggs because they obviously don't release eggs
Dana Thwaites I had a family member try to argue with me on this. I kept saying “no, I’m the one who releases the egg!” 😂😂😂
jess.and.company awwwwwww
I love the bit about knowing that pregnancy is a gift and not falling into the complain trap. I'm pregnant with my third and this mindset plus self care keeps me off the couch all day ;) don't get me wrong i love my couch, but getting outside and staying busy also helps me with sickness and aches... lots of love to all the mamas and mamas to be out there
"I am an anti-perfectionist" - i just love that!
You've got your own football team. You a great mom.
Twin mama here, your right on track with taking it as it goes! You will do great with all the routines you already have in place in your life. It still will be hard but you are so capable! Number one thing I did was keep them in the same schedule. They eat/nap/play at the same time. Congrats! Twins are super fun!
