Couldn't agree more. I'd been looking for an 08 Si Sedan for years. When I found one I traded my 2014 Focus ST I'd bought new just a year prior. It's been just over two years and I've kept it longer than my last 3 cars. If you're a driver 'enthusiast' this gen civic Si is a good one to add to your list.
+STAYlow Holy shit man, you might be the first down to earth st owner that I've talked to haha. I can't believe you traded an st for a n/a though. Ever since I've gotten in one of these cars, I loved the way they drive. My ultimate goal was to get a Fiji blue 2007 fa5, but I picked up my 2007 fg2 for 4K, so I grabbed it. It's crazy what these cars can make for power with simple bolt ons. Anyways, glad you're part of the Honda game bro 👌🏼
+Justin Walters wow, someone thinks just like me. Now if everyone would have that mindset, it'd be great. I can describe how much I love my si man. I've driven turbo charged cars, and I still think this thing rips!
Gerb Productions ya man just calling it like I see it, the 8th and 9th gen si's can keep up with my 2014 Jetta GLI stock for stock, we both make the same power, except I need a turbo to do that.
Justin Walters GLI's and GTI's have terrible return of investment for the money. I friend of mine had one, put nearly 5 grams into it (its new), and it was still slower than civics. I hate VWs because I had two of them in the past, and they were both nothing but a blackhole of debt.
Tommy Miller lol what are you talking about grams, grams of weed? I'm going to assume you mean 5,000 dollars. And that's kind of stupid, your friends must have literally shoved the money into the engine, like through the intake. $5000 will get you forged internals and a big ass turbo, that's with basically any car. Good luck telling me a 550 wheel horsepower GLI is slower than a civic.
Got a 2011 (Last year of the K20z3) for 8800, with 60 k on it, full maintenance records. Bought it today. Has a salvage title due to theft. Nothing wrong with it, not a bolt on the car has been touched, not a spec of rust. Love it.
On the paint issue. There's a factory recall on the paint. I got the whole top half of my car painted for free from the dealership. The only thing it didn't cover was the bumpers and the door moldings.
Dude! I bought my 2009 Si FA5 brand new 10 years ago and still love it to death!! It’s now my project car. I daily’d the heck out of it for like 8 years and the car is still solid with of course some maintenance and parts replacement done!
Funny you mentioned this because I am in the same boat. I bought my 2008 for brand new for $20,430. It was our daily family car for around 9 years which in that time we racked up 150k miles and now it sits in the garage. I just pulled it out after sitting for 8 months and man I forgot how much fun it was which is why I keep it. So mine to is now a project car.
I have an 8th gen civic si as well. And they are a blast to drive. Mild mods on it, bolt-on and cams with a tune wakes up the motor really nice. Smoked v8 truck on this car so can't get better then that when you banging through the gears on a 4banger
Glad to hear someone else supports si's. What year? Agreed! I have so many plans for this thing, it's crazy. Just taking my time with it. I want to smoke all kinds of things, mainly turbo cars haha.
+Gerb Productions 2008, with the proper Header, Exhaust, Intake, TB, RRC manifold. Cams DC 2.2's. Type-R Final Drive, on a very aggressive tune. Made 255 and 182 torque.
+Gerb Productions I got must of the stuff semi used, but brand new stuff with everything $4500-$5000. One thing at a time though. You won't feel it as much.
A Civic SI is my dream. I'm currently looking at used 12-15 9th gens. Good going. I'm 38 but they are great fun, economical, and four doors is perfect for my wife and I and our child.
+Eric Dolby I plan on upgrading to one of those soon. They are nice because they make good toque and have sweet interiors. Age doesn't matter man, I would drive one of these if I was 50 haha. A sedan will do the trick for you. 2013 is the best year for the 9thgens in my opinion. Stay away from the 2012.
I've had mine for 2 years. I'm still not bored of it. and Its been way more reliable than any other car I've owned, even with me taking it to the track a couple times per year. Best bang for the buck imo.
It'll be a year for me in january. That's my mindset. Literally, every time i get in it, it puts a smile on my face haha. How many miles are on yours? I'm pretty sure I'm going to get into autocross with mine next year, I'm pumped!
Bought mine with 120k, clutch went at 127k. Put a new one in, been driving it ever since. I have paint issues and burn a little oil myself. That's what i get for buying used from someone who didn't really know how to take care of it. Anyways, i have 140k on the dash right now.
I'm looking at one right now. Just sold my RSX-S after putting a shitload of miles on it. Love these little 4 bangers. I say it's more fun to drive a "slow" car fast than a fast car slow lol. Plus the handling is amazing, it's not all about the straight line!
Agreed! haha... The rsx/si aren't that slow man. I love my si and how it handles. Going to do suspension upgrades eventually. How many miles did you rsx have?
250k miles on her. Was still running like a top when I sold it, but the floor pans were rotted from road salt so I cut my losses. Yeah man today, if you don't have at least 350 HP people will say you are slow, it's pretty nuts. I'll take reliability and high revving fun over an Sti etc. all day.
Didn't think a k series could make it that high lol. Thats what i figured... Car rots out before the motor goes haha. Anyways man, wish everyone had your mindset. Sti's are sick and everything, but i think i would rather have my si right now. Besides, a bolt on/tuned k20 can hang with, if not, beat an sti or evo from a highway roll if I'm not mistaken.
Gerb Productions No doubt it's a perfect platform to build up on if you really get bored with it. I've always wanted to put a Jackson blower on a K20. Seen one in my town a few years back whizzing around, it sounded so nasty!
I absolutely fell in love with this car when it came out and Been wanting one ever since I'm finally Getting a blue 07 SI sedan that's a one owner this weekend thanks for the bid of confidence!
where did you get one for 4k? I've been looking for an 8th gen for months and can't find anything near that price. how many miles is the odo reading? anything wrong with it? wish I could find one for 4k lol
Right place at the right time. It has a rebuilt title and needed a clutch, so i took the chance. Bought it with 120K on that dash, has 135 now. Dude keep looking, private dealers mainly.
It was a total cost of free! There's a recall on the hood for chicken scratches and the rest the guy at the dealer took the pics and wrote it up and sent it off to the claims department. About a month later he called me with the thumbs up. Since paint job almost 2 years ago coming this January, I have put about 700 miles on the car and is %100 garage kept. Wish I could post pics here.
electric feel u got it wrong my friend i just bougjt my 07 si sedan for 3500 w 245k miles clean title registered n smog..even engine n tranny runs smooth no leaks at all...
This car is very good for its price even brand new. I bought mi 2010 8th gen brand new for 21.000. I love my car, it's my daily since then. But it doesn't come turbo 😒 now I tell every one you can't compare civics to STi's , evo's , ford RS etc.. those are 35.000 cars with a TURBO. but GERB get some exhaust bolt on especially a header and you'll notice a big difference. But I agree with your decision it's the same reason I bought mine. 👍
Agreed, you cannot compare to those cars. For an all motor car, the si performs very well, especially in the top end. I've driven Sti's, an evo, and other boosted cars, but it's something about this car that i still love. I think it's the shifting, top end, and the fun factor that this car has. I don't care what anyone says about it, I love this car and will always own one. I plan on building an all motor k series in the future. As far as a header, that is coming soon man, don't know when, but it is. I have so many plans for my fg2 in the future.
Yup I feel you!!! I was so close to buying a Scion FR-S but I saw the car was slow even with bolt ons and expensive so I bought the Si FA5 😁 glad I did...
Have the 2014 Civic Si Sedan....has every option you could possibly want in a car and it's fun as hell to drive. 4k for a rebuild one that seems to drive pretty well is a steal! Nice find bro. I personally wouldn't invest too much into modding that one out though. Wait for the 9th gens to come down in price a bit and pick one of those up. The features and handling on them are way better than 8th gens.
The eighth handle way better than the 9th gen the S I had class-leading handling right out of the box in the 8th generation which was also the Motor Trend Car of the Year and it had a little thing in the back called a multi-link double Wishbone suspension the 9th generation was made during a recession and it has the inferior shock strut setup.. Holla
HI I LIVE IN CANADA I BOUGHT THE 2008 CIVI SI. FIR $4500 TAXES IN ..I DIDN'T EVEN TEST DRIVE IT I KNEW THIS WAS THE CAR MY CAR IS IN MINT CONDITION THE EXHAUST MAKES IT SOUND & RUN LIKE A RACE CAR ITS ALSO GOT A HID HEADLIGHT KIT ...& FINALLY IY CAME WITH A K&N. AIR FILTER. .....ONLY 170 000 KMS DRIVEN
nice buy..i also just got my 08 civic si sedan but i paid $6k for it..had 55k miles on it,super clean car..oem nighthawk black pearl paint,i got it from a private seller.so yea there's hood deals out there, just gotta have patience.i wanted my Si for a very long time as well.anyhow, great video.
+George I think I made out pretty good. That's a steal man! Agreed, I waited awhile &I I finally got one. Originally wanted blue, but black looks badass all cleaned up. Thank you for the support 👌🏼
Gerb Productions yea thanks man..imo we have alot to prove, owning an Si cuz imo we're the underdogs cuz our competition all have turbo's,like the mazdaspeed 3,gti's,fiesta st's,focus st etc..but i wouldn't have it any other way..right now im just working on the exterior and will move on to the engine and go from there..ima start making some video's on my Si soon.
+George We might be the underdogs, but we still make 200 hp pretty much with a n/a engine which is amazing. Most of our competitors have turbos and they're only like 20-30 more hp more than us. I'm focusing on both still, I have so many plans. Make vids dude, show it off haha
I got my 07 Si for 4k =). People are scared to buy it because its got an engine light on. Got it scanned replaced the bank sensor 1 and boom. Its an awesome car!
+Raizo Takumi Ayyyy, that a boy haha. Agreed. No lie though, I was skeptical about mine, but sometimes you have to take chances. Honestly, so happy I own this thing! How many miles are on yours?
Get a 3.5in intake, Invidia/ skunk 2 header, full race exhaust, and a solid tune with flash pro and you are looking at a mid 13 second car with a decent driver mod. Down from high 14 to low 15.
Receipt found. It was approved on 12/23/14. Painted at service king for free! I can scan it and omit certain personal info and send it to ya. Maybe it will help get it approved.
My biggest problem is that the Si isnt avaible here in my country. And the second problem is that the other 8 gen arent that cheap. So i have to drive my 6th gen coupe, which is really fun to drive but it has to many dents :(
What country are you in buddy? Hey, as long as it's fun & you like it, that's all the matters. I have a daily em2 and the si. Dude, when i upgraded, it was a huge difference!
Nice work I have an 8th gen sedan with a SRI, full cat back exhaust, and headers+downpipe and it makes a big difference all I need now is a tune to really get it how I want it for now til I can afford a turbo cuz I'm on a budget to man lol
Yeah it runs fine without a tune it's just not putting out everything that it should but it still makes a slight difference, and yeah about 300+ more hp when it's boosted is gonna be fun
Make sure wherever you live doesn't have smog testing before you get hracers because it deletes the cat which makes it illegal in some states. Luckily I live in Wyoming so i got headers with a downpipe but if it's fine in your state it's definetly with it. If you have smog testing it'll be risky but I go by the saying Y.O.L.O. Lol but that's just me
I've got a Honda Civic 8th gen 2007 model here in india with the 1.8 litre R18A SOHC engine...it makes all of 132 bhp but still feels pretty quick partly coz it revs freely to 7000 rpm and also its a lightweight car at 1200 kgs..excellent power to weight ratio...smokes many other heavier sedans with turbos like entry level diesel mercs and audis and even the occasional beemer. Great car to own..really cheap to service and maintain.
Haha true...they've got a lot going for them. If only they'd do something about the low end torque though. I used to drive a turbodiesel before this and ended up stalling the civic quite a lot in the beginning . By the way i paid ₹150000 for my car which is around $2200. Terrific value for money!
Good deal man. I payed for 8th gen 2011 17 000 $ with warranty. I must say that i was not on a budget. For the money i paid i could by other cars but bottom line is i am sick of paying for gas . I had Mercedes ml 500 2004 just before the Honda . That car was fast, lots of torque just the opposite of the Honda but man o man the fuel it drink every day was 3 times more than the Honda. Generally speaking FWD with LSD naturally aspirated engine is the most fun per liter of fuel that you can get. Cheers.
+MickyMouseLimited At least you have a warranty. Mine needs a clutch, pulls pretty hard though for what it is. I can honestly say, this is one of my favorite cars that I've driven. Mercedes ml 500, damn! What do those make for power? What are your plans for the si?
The ml had 5L V8 around 285 hp. Well the plans are - the best possible tires and header. Hondata tune will make more power but not much more then just the header. As long as you don't change the stock intake and all sensors work correctly the ECU will adjust to the correct fuel air mixture. Hondata is a great tool for modifying engine parameters but this will not make much difference on factory engine.
Pretty much the same idea as me. I want summer tires, coil overs, a dna 4-2-1 header, and a hondata reflash. Heard these cars a nasty with summer tires and a reflash. Anyways, Keep me posted on your si!
I am not sure how stiff is the suspension of your car but mine feel quit stiff. I bought an H brace from megan racing for the car . The frame of the car felt stiffer i had it for about 3 months now and i can say that the front on the car feels much stiffer. When you are going over a pot hole or a bump you don't feel any flex in the frame it feels like the front shocks take the load much better. Coil overs will make the car ride really harsh this car has very small suspension travel and if you are not a perfect pavement you can easily start scraping things under . There are better shocks that you can use with the stock springs that will improve the ride and road holding ability ( high speed corners) without compromising the suspension. If you want to upgrade your suspension the last thing you want to do is reduce the suspension travel by lowering the car. Look for high quality adjustable shocks with separate rebound and low speed compression adjustment this is can make your car corner like a race car and hold the road with no issues.
My suspension is on the way out i think. It's not as stiff as it should be. I was going to order a megan racing strut bar for the front struts. See, that's were I'm confused. I've heard good an bad about coils on an si. Think I'm going to hold off on the coils and get some koni yellow struts and either eibach or nuespeed springs. I want my car to handle amazing with only like a 1" drop on the car. Not really into extremely low or the camber life haha. Thanks for the advice bro, it helped! Oh, and what do you recommend for summer tires?
Bro this made me feel a lot better. I have a salvage title due to them rebuilding it and I have bin so worried it’s a 4door si. It needs struts and maybe motor mounts and a exhaust and after that I will get hondata.
How much is it to get reprinted? I have an 07 civic si Fiji blue it has sun damage on roof and some rust spots from rock chips and my front bumper is cracked a little so I wanna know the price of getting it reprinted.. Anything helps!
Good thing about these they are theft proof .. that's only if they get a tow truck but ... i was thinking of getting an ep3 not because it's the slowest of all K's but simply not too many people have em like that
I've driven a few but i still want to take precautions since that's always been a bad rep for hondas now and days i do plan however to put a rotrex on it one day if i do decide to get an EP3
+Kevin Smith I always hear shit about the ep3. Oh, they're ugly, slow, blah, blah, blah. Honestly bro, who cares what people think. As long as you like it & are happy with it, it doesn't matter what people think. I say buy one
Gerb I'll sale you a brand new Skunk2 CAI with all the hardware if you are interested. I've decided I am going to sale my FA5 :( but I'm going try to purchase the CTR next year.
i always been a honda fan and when the si came out i had to have it plus it came with strong k serise what more could you want, for a fair price and if you hang with turbo cars in its class then you just make a bigger bang for your buck
So have I... Drove three si's a few years back before i had mine and they grew on me. They shift amazing, sound amazing, and handle amazing. It's crazy that everything is coming turbo from the factory. Definitely agree with them hanging with turbo cars. The si has pretty sick top end power. No lie though, I get a lot of hate, but forget the haters haha. Only thing that matters is, I love the car. Do you have an 8th gen?
+Gerb Productions right now im at 97thousandish im starting the 100 thousand mile service pretty soon, oh yeah ahahahaha on all my videos i just have a cold air no tune or anything im still not tuned but i put on alpha header and mega power exhuast
Still a baby! What are you having done for your service? I'll probably end up getting cold air eventually. Exhaust and header are first though. My exhaust should be here this week sometime, stay tuned bro.
How in the world did you get an SI for $4k?! I'm looking for my first car and I want an SI but my budget is around $6k and I still can't find a decent one!
Right place at the right time haha. It also has a rebuilt title. Keep looking around, buy one with a new clutch and all the maintenance up to date, unless you have time to do it yourself.
Last time i checked, it's gerb, not gerbil. Should, it's the performance oriented civic. It's an electric steering rack. Not sure if the base model 2006+ civic ex, lx, and other have an electric steering rack.
This Si makes 197hp stock with an 8200rpm redline. The si models offer a sporty interior with digital dash, 6 speed, lsd transmission, and one of the best flowing Honda cylinder heads. With proper bolt ons + tune on this k20z3, you can easily achieve 220hp and 8500rpm rev limiter.
8gen civic si most of them on fb market are going for 6k 12k with major clear coat damage an High mileage why pay that amount with those issues an its slow 190hp isn't a lot these days search up mercedes benz amg those cars have double the power an cost less to purchase
How many miles. Or kilometres are these engines good for? Usually.. i found a smoking deal on one with 280000km (175000miles) Just curious if it still has life. -it has been maintained
I'm THINKING about getting this or a V6 Accord, V6 Camry, and possibly a V6 Altima. I'm just worried some idiot will steal it since Cvics and Accords rank high among top stolen cars :( I'm not too worried about reliability since I'm more than likely going to try and buy from a dealer and I hope they inspect the cars lol
My order would be this: 1. Si 2. Accord 3. Camry/Altima would tie Dude, go for an si. They're really fun and cheap to maintain. They have so much potential. I have to admit, the accord v6's are dope. My buddy had one, they rip. But expect to be hitting up the pump more if you go v6. The si gets like 32+ on the highway.
Gerb Productions True, the v6 is more of a smiles per gallon type of deal lol I just hate how people steal Hondas so much, but I will keep an eye out for the Civic when the time comes, I'm sure it'll be a little cheaper to insure too compared to the others lol
Yes, it will be your cheaper one out of the rest. I'm telling you, you won't regret buying one of these. Easily man, It looks so good to, especially at night. It's bright red and at night when i drive by people, they're like wtf is that thing haha
No I have Fiji blue pearl and Taffetta white on my 2015. Would you believe the dealership charges $2 grand for body kit moldings. I got them anyways because I talk them down $2 grand off their asking price so I broke even.
Good video man; what a steal for 4 grand! 0:45 So I'm gonna list some reasons, on why, you should look at the road when filming. NUMBER ONE Herrrr THE First reason why you should look at the road is, because...BEcause you love that car. TWOooo Second reason IS 1:47 We love seein' ya alive, & what a funny meme it would be if you stayed alive. THE Laaast reason why you should look at the road when you're driving is because, you don't want to give Judge Judy some prime evidence on why she should lecture you on your driving habits, before posting it ON to the INTERNET!
+cjg 1987 Depends how it was maintained. Mine needed a fair amount of work at 120k, but that's because it was neglected. Guy just drove it and that's it. How much are they asking for it?
People are just soooo dumb bro. Last night I was talking to some kid who had an automatic Firebird 5.0 that he couldn’t even drive because the insurance and gas is so much and he thought it was funny when I said K20 is the best 4 banger 😂
That's the first time I've heard an st owner say that they want an si. Usually they're talking shit to me about my car haha. How's the st for power? Why do you want an si?
I do like the ST, power pulls great! But it all seems mechanical and contrived! Even the sound they pipe into the cabin is not actual exhaust or engine noise...It seems heavy also! Ive had Mazda rx8s Miatas 1 EVO and a few other fun cars....the ST just feels like a cold robot.
Can someone confirm for me. He says it has 200 bhp in the si in the video but Australia 8th gen civic sport has 150bhp. Im wanting to buy this and do a full fd2 type r conversion becus its illegal to import fd2 type r into australia. I feel like im just wasting my time after hearing this. 50 bhp less im very dispointed n unmotivated now.
To be exact, it's 197 hp and 139 tq from factory. My 8th gen on the dyno makes 185 hp and 142 tq. To be honest, it'd be a lot of work. Just get the si or something closer to 200 hp
Gerb Productions oh well anything to keep my gf happy. Give her as a present , "sorry its going to be alot slower then u think" ....sigh btw thanks for answering
Gerb Productions man i got to spend so much money on it when it would cost almost like a real one fml might skip on this project ( i want it to be as close as possible down to the seats and everything)
matt pierson slow? It's all motor and pretty much makes 200 hp. I think mine is pretty quick man and I've driven all kinds of cars. A gtx??? 440hp, damn, that's a lot.
2017 civic si+ come with a turbo. All previous generation civic si's have a system called Vtec or Ivtec. Vtec is very similar to a turbo, but different in a way. It is built in and engages at a certain rpm, allowing a power kick through certain rpm's when more air + fuel are mixed throughout the cylinders.
Those 8th Gen Civic Si's are Excellent all around cars with Fantastic engines! Aftermarket parts are Decent but Always use Honda genuine fluids, Sensors, Gaskets, and Seals. Definitely replace the Factory Timing Chain Tensioner with a Skunk2 component, the Honda ones are Garbage. Honda made it pretty Easy to Access and replace it without taking the Cover off and Chain, etc. After that you'll have Smiles per gallon, not Miles! 😁😁⛽🔥🚀
403 likes! You all are amazing! Love my supporters
Pro tip for all my K series brother. First mod has to be hondata.
Benifts =
- No rev hang
- Raised rev limit
- Lowered VTEC point
- Better throttle response
- Better mid range power and torque
- Datalogging - which will teach you a lot about your engine
Couldn't agree more. I'd been looking for an 08 Si Sedan for years. When I found one I traded my 2014 Focus ST I'd bought new just a year prior. It's been just over two years and I've kept it longer than my last 3 cars. If you're a driver 'enthusiast' this gen civic Si is a good one to add to your list.

It's crazy what these cars can make for power with simple bolt ons. Anyways, glad you're part of the Honda game bro 👌🏼
I have a Focus ST 2016! And I too want an Si! Glad Im not the only one!!!
Just sold my st looking into an si too 😂
2 reasons to buy an Si,
1) it is Honda
2) Has VTEC bro
3) reliability
4) fuel economy
Honestly, Honda doin pretty good compared to the other 4 bangers out there, making 200 horsepower naturally aspirated and everyone else needs a turbo
Thats crazy! What do the GLI's make for hp?
Justin Walters GLI's and GTI's have terrible return of investment for the money. I friend of mine had one, put nearly 5 grams into it (its new), and it was still slower than civics. I hate VWs because I had two of them in the past, and they were both nothing but a blackhole of debt.
Tommy Miller lol what are you talking about grams, grams of weed? I'm going to assume you mean 5,000 dollars. Good luck telling me a 550 wheel horsepower GLI is slower than a civic.
you love your car and it shows. Eff the haters have a blast.
+Asad Siraj I do, I'm glad you noticed. I get shit all the time, but idc. Every time I get in my fg2, it puts a smile on my face ;)
I love Japanese cars and have had 3 Civics!!
Just bought a 2007 Civic Si and I love it. Thank you for reassuring me!
Glad you're reppin' the si life! Coupe or four door?
Coupe sir!
hotricebowl Reppin' the fg2 life, thats dope!
gettin an 07 si here in a couple weeks ! Excited! Still have it?
Got a 2011 (Last year of the K20z3) for 8800, with 60 k on it, full maintenance records. Bought it today. Has a salvage title due to theft. Nothing wrong with it, not a bolt on the car has been touched, not a spec of rust. Love it.
Aka, the best year haha. Sounds to me like you got a steal! 88k is nothing. I'm glad for you man, what are your plans with it?
You bought it because YOU like it and it made sense to you.
I’m strongly considering getting one this spring.
On the paint issue. There's a factory recall on the paint. I got the whole top half of my car painted for free from the dealership. The only thing it didn't cover was the bumpers and the door moldings.
What year is your car? And was this recent?
That's what I'm doing... One thing at a time. Think I'm going to pick up a spare transmission
+TheXBLEST that's better than most k20z1 bolt ons with kpro.
Mine had 118k when I bought it. now has 140k. The paint has issues and it burns oil. But that comes with the honda territory I guess.
Gerb Productions
No doubt it's a perfect platform to build up on if you really get bored with it. I've always wanted to put a Jackson blower on a K20. Seen one in my town a few years back whizzing around, it sounded so nasty!
moccina Agreed! Can't go wrong with a K! That would be so nasty. Think I'm going to stick with full bolts and tune for now, until i get board haha
I absolutely fell in love with this car when it came out and Been wanting one ever since I'm finally Getting a blue 07 SI sedan that's a one owner this weekend thanks for the bid of confidence!
That's the car i originally wanted, fiji blue fa5 ;)... You should definitely pick one up
If you like the 8 gen civic si look up csx type s. It's basically a luxury version here in Canada. With the type r looks.
+Jumbie Wish I could get my hands on one haha. I will definitely look into it
+Jumbie Just seen what they look like. I love the tail lights so much. I wanted an fa5, but got my fg2 for a good deal
i just bought a type r/fd2 body kit for my fa5.
52 likes??? You people are awesome!!!
where did you get one for 4k? I've been looking for an 8th gen for months and can't find anything near that price. how many miles is the odo reading? anything wrong with it? wish I could find one for 4k lol
Right place at the right time. It has a rebuilt title and needed a clutch, so i took the chance. Bought it with 120K on that dash, has 135 now. Dude keep looking, private dealers mainly.
Gerb Productions i got one for 3500 245k miles runs great shift smooth engine has no oil leaks
also clean title and registered this year and smogged ca resident
I snagged my 06SI for $3700. Clean title. 109k miles Has the paint issue, and needs tires. I feel like I got a steal.
Love my FA5. We've been through 100k together and here is to 100k more. On the horizon is cold air intake and hondata
Gonna turn the Fa5 into a beast lol 💪🏼
Gerb Productions She's long overdue 😀
I have a 03 civic ex 5 speed with 325k miles, engine still running strong and no rebuilds
I love my 2001 ex. Currently 303k miles, she leaks oil like crazy, but still drives haha. Great little cars. I may rebuild mine btw
Dude, that's sick! I'm going to see if i can make it to the dealer this weekend
Get some bolt ons and tune it on flashpro and it will turn into an animal.
My 8th gen Si Sedan is tuned and is a blast. lol
That's the plan man! Do you have any vids? What have you raced so far?
I dont yet, but maybe I should make one! haha and I havent raced anything since I got my last ticket. Too paranoid lol
Carlos Rojas You have to be careful, these cars move right along with no problem lol. I don't blame you though
the only Civic SI you find for 4k in California are salvage.
I believe it! I'm moving out to cali one day!
electric feel u got it wrong my friend i just bougjt my 07 si sedan for 3500 w 245k miles clean title registered n smog..even engine n tranny runs smooth no leaks at all...
I have so many plans for my fg2 in the future.
nobody has ever told me my civic si was slow after theyve rode in it lol aint nothing like tha 8th gen civic si💪
As soon as they ride in one, their opinion drastically changes haha... 8th gen gang 💪🏼
I hear you bro, thanks for the advice. I change my mind all the time lol. Tell you what though, I'd like to own both a 9th/8th gen.
AIR FILTER. .....ONLY
170 000 KMS DRIVEN
nice buy..i also just got my 08 civic si sedan but i paid $6k for it..had 55k miles on it,super clean car..oem nighthawk black pearl paint,i got it from a private seller.so yea there's hood deals out there, just gotta have patience.i wanted my Si for a very long time as well.anyhow, great video.
Gerb Productions yip, your 100% right. Yea ima start posting vids soon
I bought a civic 8 Gen... and I love it.
+tushar hulsar They're such awesome cars. Bought mine for $4k lol
Gerb Productions 180k when I got it. Got me an oem rims+winter tires hfp lipkit for $370 too lol.
Did u get your takata airbag recall though? Just got my letter.
+Raizo Takumi Nice! I'm rocking all seasons right now, but I don't daily mine. Hfp lips look dope!
+Raizo Takumi I did, my airbag light is still on though, pretty pissed
Good vid man. Just picked up 07 SI sedan for $4k. Great value and fun as hell to drive.
You’re going to have a blast guy 💪🏼... How many miles❓
how many miles on it ? clean title?
Get a 3.5in intake, Invidia/ skunk 2 header, full race exhaust, and a solid tune with flash pro and you are looking at a mid 13 second car with a decent driver mod. Down from high 14 to low 15.
That's mint! I will get there eventually lol. Thanks for the advice broski!
+gerb productions One step at a time! Don't cheap out on anything.
Good choice! All I buy is Honda.
They are great cars! I'd like to pick up another one soon ;)
Nice work I have an 8th gen sedan with a SRI, full cat back exhaust, and headers+downpipe and it makes a big difference all I need now is a tune to really get it how I want it for now til I can afford a turbo cuz I'm on a budget to man lol
Does it run alright with the mods w/o a tune?? I want to do an all motor build eventually, although the si turns into a complete animal with boost lol
Yeah it runs fine without a tune it's just not putting out everything that it should but it still makes a slight difference, and yeah about 300+ more hp when it's boosted is gonna be fun
Chris Stenehjem Can't wait to get a header and tune for mine. Hopefully going to get my jdm emblems on today
Lol but that's just me
Headers not hracers or lol even though that sounds like a cool car club or something
Nothing wrong with an r18 man. Actually, nothing wrong with a honda in general! Love my si, will always own a honda, no matter what it is haha
Haha true...they've got a lot going for them. If only they'd do something about the low end torque though. I used to drive a turbodiesel before this and ended up stalling the civic quite a lot in the beginning . By the way i paid ₹150000 for my car which is around $2200. Terrific value for money!
+Abhiroop Pakrashi That's why I was considering buying a 9thgen si. That is a crazy deal man!
Oh, and what do you recommend for summer tires?
great price, i paid 13,g's for mine .. same year, si, coupe, red, but yea it was worth it.
Definitely worth it, even though mine needs a little more work. Such a fun car! Do you have any vids on yours?
+Gerb Productions no but I'm thinking of starting now that I'm able to afford upgrades, 😎
Bro this made me feel a lot better. I have a salvage title due to them rebuilding it and I have bin so worried it’s a 4door si. It needs struts and maybe motor mounts and a exhaust and after that I will get hondata.
Don’t worry about it too much man... tranny and engine are worth $4,000 alone
07 Si. Got it repained last year. The dealership has to take pictures and submit the claim for approval.
I am going to bring mine in. Do you have nighthawk black?
How much is it to get reprinted? I have an 07 civic si Fiji blue it has sun damage on roof and some rust spots from rock chips and my front bumper is cracked a little so I wanna know the price of getting it reprinted.. Anything helps!
Repainted*
Active EJ Should be free of charge with a recall. Shit, I'm not paying for paint lol
alright lol I will go to a dealer and see what they do
Good thing about these they are theft proof .. that's only if they get a tow truck but ... i was thinking of getting an ep3 not because it's the slowest of all K's but simply not too many people have em like that
+Kevin Smith Compared to the older ones, hell yeah haha. Get an ep3 man, they are still dope little cars. Never driven one, kind of want to though.
Exactly
i just bought an ep3 and i LOVE how rare they are in my city.
I'm buying one for sure
You won't regret your purchase
Gerb I'll sale you a brand new Skunk2 CAI with all the hardware if you are interested. I've decided I am going to sale my FA5 :( but I'm going try to purchase the CTR next year.
How much bro?
Gerb Productions $280.00? I have no need for it. They run for $320.00. you can alternate between this one and your short ram.
i always been a honda fan and when the si came out i had to have it plus it came with strong k serise what more could you want, for a fair price and if you hang with turbo cars in its class then you just make a bigger bang for your buck
+Gerb Productions ahahaha i know right i dont know why everyone hates them so much, yeah got a 09 sedan
Nice... What do you have for mileage? I seen your vid were you raced that turbo genesis and was like whatttt haha. Are you stock?
+Gerb Productions right now im at 97thousandish im starting the 100 thousand mile service pretty soon, oh yeah ahahahaha on all my videos i just have a cold air no tune or anything im still not tuned but i put on alpha header and mega power exhuast
Still a baby! What are you having done for your service? I'll probably end up getting cold air eventually. Exhaust and header are first though. My exhaust should be here this week sometime, stay tuned bro.
I'll try to find the receipt, scan it and send it to ya. Maybe that will help.
That would be legit man!
How is the outside view with that windshield rake. It's pretty steep.
it's just fun/easy to drive.
Like, like, like, like, I'm sorry had to, but left thumbs up =)
Did you count how many times lol? Thanks, I appreciate it!
Mr Gerbil does this car have a quicker ratio steering rack as opposed to a base model?
Last time i checked, it's gerb, not gerbil. Should, it's the performance oriented civic. It's an electric steering rack. Not sure if the base model 2006+ civic ex, lx, and other have an electric steering rack.
love my si making 220hp tune by yosolo Newark New Jersey
Nice dude! How big of a difference is it with a tune, compared to stock?
damn ur so lucky bro happy for u did ur insurance went up cus ur title wasn't clean..
thanks man! Was paying $164/month. Went up to $230/month. I'm going to cancel my current insurance, and find a cheaper one.
A big reason for me would be the vtec
You smart pick the thru jdm 8th gen..👍
I love the part where he goes, oh, why you buy an si, its slowww. lol
hahaha, this is such a throwback vid
People who dont understand about hondas never will
That’s a fact haha
Still want my four door sport injected 2010 or 11 shivic.
You should get one when you can, they’re worth the money
Best Carver made my dad bought me an 06 lx civic only 55 miles one day I will trade it it in but runs like adream
Hi, I have the same Honda Civic as you and Honda lost power, any suggestion of the problem thanks
Hey Man, sorry to hear that. When does it lose power exactly? Could be an emissions issue or timing issue. Any check engine light?
Trying to find out how this car is different to my 2010 civic sport, only makes 155hp
I mean, you're not wrong. Pricing has went up drastically. I don't want a benz. Yeah, they're nicer, but cost 2x more for maintenance.
How many miles. Or kilometres are these engines good for? Usually.. i found a smoking deal on one with 280000km (175000miles)
Just curious if it still has life. -it has been maintained
I've heard 200,000 miles man. All depends on how the car is maintained. I'm at 181k currently. Almost time for a fresh rebuild, i'm going k24/k20
Gerb Productions i ended up picking up a 2006 accord v6. 5 speed. Hope it treats me well
200k give or take 50k depending on how it's been treated
I'm THINKING about getting this or a V6 Accord, V6 Camry, and possibly a V6 Altima. I'm just worried some idiot will steal it since Cvics and Accords rank high among top stolen cars :( I'm not too worried about reliability since I'm more than likely going to try and buy from a dealer and I hope they inspect the cars lol
My order would be this:
1. Si
2. Accord
3. Camry/Altima would tie
Dude, go for an si.
Gerb Productions How long did it take you to get used to the digital speedo?
Yes, it will be your cheaper one out of the rest. I'm telling you, you won't regret buying one of these. Easily man, It looks so good to, especially at night. It's bright red and at night when i drive by people, they're like wtf is that thing haha
by V6 altima, you mean like the Altima SE-R?
No I have Fiji blue pearl and Taffetta white on my 2015. Would you believe the dealership charges $2 grand for body kit moldings. I got them anyways because I talk them down $2 grand off their asking price so I broke even.
2G's???? You have to be joking man, thats insane! Anything from the dealer is going to run you some $$$
would you recommend it for a first car?
+Marvin R Yes. Probably one of the best first cars you can buy. You won't regret it, trust me
Good video man; what a steal for 4 grand!
0:45 So I'm gonna list some reasons, on why, you should look at the road when filming.
NUMBER ONE Herrrr
THE First reason why you should look at the road is, because...BEcause you love that car.
TWOooo
Second reason IS 1:47
We love seein' ya alive, & what a funny meme it would be if you stayed alive.
THE Laaast reason why you should look at the road when you're driving is because,
you don't want to give Judge Judy some prime evidence on why she should lecture you on your driving habits, before posting it ON to the INTERNET!
I wouldn't say they are slow
Si got mine for the same price from a dealer he wanted 6 but i talked him down to 4
+Dimitrus Valentin It's all about negotiation haha. What does yours have for miles?
Omg you're scaring me when you look at the camera when you're driving
good vid
+Dominick Rice Now I have a head mount, so I don't do that anymore. Thanks man
Hey, are you gonna get that thing looked at ?
Hey, you can go fuck off 👍🏼
Does it still not have alot of problems with the mileage you have looking at a 06 with 183,000 6 speed
+cjg 1987 Depends how it was maintained. Mine needed a fair amount of work at 120k, but that's because it was neglected. Guy just drove it and that's it. How much are they asking for it?
$4900 but it has no body damage oil look clean drove good just needs a new shift boot but im gonna try and talk him down some since i have cash
+cjg 1987 see if you can grab it for like $4500
Gerb Productions i got it for $4,700 but i love the car just hope it last a while few years
+cjg 1987 Nice, it should last you awhile. Take car of it man, but don't be afraid to get on it here and there 😉
Your killing me with the “likes” guy. Ya said “like” 2000 times
I was a noob, what can i say
People are just soooo dumb bro. Last night I was talking to some kid who had an automatic Firebird 5.0 that he couldn’t even drive because the insurance and gas is so much and he thought it was funny when I said K20 is the best 4 banger 😂
Should of told him, "Don't you even think" lol... What's the point in having a car if you can't drive it lol
How is the Si doing? Any problems?
She runs pretty well bro, approaching 150k soon. Just have a few suspension clunks, thats about it haha. Are you the one with the focus st??
Yes i have a 2016 ST and a 2017 Yaris iA both fun cars but id like an Si also!!!
No way you have a great car! Im an Si fan but the 2015 seemed to have a cheap interior, maybe 2012 2013 and 2014 also..not sure.
Give her as a present , "sorry its going to be alot slower then u think" ....sigh
btw thanks for answering
Gerb Productions man i got to spend so much money on it when it would cost almost like a real one
fml might skip on this project
( i want it to be as close as possible down to the seats and everything)
Gerb Productions well 8th gen civic sport is pretty much si in australia and they only have 150bhp as the from the factory. We are getting jipped
griptape1 Dude, you're definitely getting jipped lol
Is it a coupe or sedan?
Coupe bro
+Gerb Productions Nice! I have a 2007 Si sedan. I have a small turbo kit I bought for dirt cheap. I'll post videos after it's ready
Dude, thats awesome. I have to fix my car, think the clutch went. I already miss driving her. Anyways, sounds good man, keep me posted
I love my 8th gen si but God it's dog shit slow. I'm getting my gtx3076r in a couple months should be around 440whp then.
matt pierson slow? It's all motor and pretty much makes 200 hp. I think mine is pretty quick man and I've driven all kinds of cars. A gtx??? 440hp, damn, that's a lot.
Thousand sorry made light
Says #2, holds up one finger lol
a stock civic si is faster than a stock wrx 2016. so basically the wrx is also in slow stock class lol
You think so? Maybe a highway roll, but from a dig, think I'd get slaughtered.
+Gerb Productions yea from a dig we would get beat for sure im talking from a roll. i got a vid in my chanell beating one from a roll.
You think so? Haven't run one yet haha. Do you have an 8th gen?
yea 08 sedan
Nice man... What's done to it? What are your plans with the car?
4 grand... cheap ad heck. Mine is 2010 7900 woo

+Jerry A. You're not far from me at all. I appreciate the support 👌🏼. I really enjoy filming in my free time. What do you have for a car?
Do these civic si comes with a turbo?
2017 civic si+ come with a turbo. All previous generation civic si's have a system called Vtec or Ivtec. Vtec is very similar to a turbo, but different in a way. It is built in and engages at a certain rpm, allowing a power kick through certain rpm's when more air + fuel are mixed throughout the cylinders.
Should i say mainly allowing more "Air" when the lobes on the camshafts activate at a certain rpm.
What 200 bhp
That’s what I paid for my type s with 162K miles
Defective 1-2 synchro.
Let me know what they tell ya.
Will do bro!
Drive when driving, make the video when NOT driving!!!!!!!
You should rice it out.
So many sins correction cinema sins 😊
This could have been shorter.. I git this car because I fucking wanted it the end lol
Costed lmfao
bro civics suck
+Josh Clark Thanks bro
get a real car like the one in my thumbnail
+Josh Clark That's a 9thgen si right?
Gerb Productions no sir, thats the real civic.... a LX
Josh Clark HAHAHAHA, that's funny man. Probably more reliable because you have no vtec.
I to 60 in under 7 sec ain't fast but it sure as hell ain't slow..
