I bought a 08 Si for my teenage son, LOL 😂 WE LOVE IT!! $4300. After full service, new headlights, fog lights, motor mounts, new suspension all around (stock), touch screen with backup camera... $6 k ! father-son project, except for the new tires, the car is dope!! Still 💯 % stock. 😍
You’re a cool dad, my dad just tries to tell me I don’t know what I’m talking about even though I’ve been through my hs tech course and I’m about to graduate from uti. They don’t teach you that much there but I’m not a rock with legs when it comes to cars. Maybe doing some type r or type s mods down the line to teach him a little more in depth in the engine side
Damnit dude! I wish my dad was into cars! He has promised to buy me a 2013 Toyota Corolla if i get good at driving, i currently drive a 99’ Toyota Vitz (Japanese Yaris)
"Four doors look better" I never thought I'd hear a car guy agree with me on that. I honestly think the coupes of this generation were pretty ugly, but the sedans look great.
I’ve a 08 sedan galaxy grey. Intake, coilovers, and slotted rotors. Its been my daily for 6 years now and I’ve been pushing it to redline almost everyday. She still runs like a champ.
i had the blue color version of this car, at certain angles it was one of the best looking cars out there in my opinion. it had a paint issue and honda repainted it, so kept a nice brilliant shine. loved the sound of the hi reving engine. was so calm and docile for normal driving, but could rev it all the way up to like 8500 rpm and felt like a different car. was also very comfortable. i'd still be driving it, if some a-hole driver hadnt rear ended it and totalled it. i liked it better than my replacement 2017 GTI. i can attest the engine maintenance was minimal to non existent, although i think the suspension was softening up by the time it was 9 years old, didnt seem as rigid as when i first got it.
That dinger for the headlights being on, I did not know about that and that is now my new favorite thing about my favorite generation of Civic Si, that is so freaking cool. It sounds like an old Datsun/Nissan chime, I love it.
FINALLY got my 2007 Si 4dr off of Skunk 2 lowering springs. It's all back to stock and life it great. The airbag light comes on whenever but it's probably from all of the pot holes over the years. I did have the gear popping out of 3rd thing going but Honda fixed that way back. Peace from Colorado
I'd prefer a sedan but I found a coupe with 65k miles for $7200 so I couldn't pass it up. You're not joking about Honda transmissions, my first Honda was an 05 EX with a manual and it makes my WRX transmission seem very sloppy.
Wow what an amazing review. You even sat on back and did backseat review. I am currently looking between rsx type s vs civic si. I keep in mind I have 3 kids and might give kids a ride in it. Thank you for review.
Bought a 09 civic si year ago for 14.5 . It had only 45k miles on it tho, very clean and still is. Was in a tough spot and had to buy or risk waiting forever to find a good SI. Good deal .?
get the four door if youre buying a pre facelift, if youre going 09-11 get a coupe. front end looks far more agressive on the coupe than the sedan. but then again, to each their own.
Definitely fun slow car. Hitting that vtec is amazing. I highly recommend it for anyone. Just watching out the infamous grinding gears. My car had it and it was 2009
Mine got rear ended. 07 FA5/alpha header/vibrant exhaust. I still believe Honda gifted us with a “type R” as a gift before the Si went down to k24/turbo.
Found one 4 doors(which I prefer) few days ago actually, super clean, 101K miles, Black and just only $4300. Thinking to get it as a first car... dunno... there are some other good cars too and it would be easier to learn how to drive on a automatic gearbox.
@@bige7186 These cars are being sold very quick actually... But I don't really know... Can I message you when I'm about to buy a car for some consultation ;) please?( Like in few months the market will be renewed with other cars) Thanks.
I have a same car except it's a non Si-automatic. It's good, unfortunately it started to leak massive amounts of oil in the last few months so it had to sit. But at 220k miles i kinda expected something to happen
Funny... I have a 2007 Accord also. Just decided to keep it. Just over 100,000 miles. Been looking at Civics b/c of the manual/stick shift. Still have yours?
So 173,000 and not 1 new ball joint, tie rod end, sway bar link, CONTROL ARMS, shocks? Must ride really well after 173K and NOTHING REPLACED IN ORIGINAL FRONT SUSPENSION. Good as new right?
I still kick myself over the fact that I chose a 2002 1.8t Passat over an '07 Civic Si. Woulud have had a lot more fun and saved more money in the long run.
@@أحمدالمحروقي-ج8ظ I sold it a few years back. I would have gone stage 1 if it didn't have issues every 2 months like clockwork. It was not a reliable car.
I think vw’s are amazing cars, I know ppl talk trash about them cause of their questionable reliability, they do feel more expensive and luxurious than their Japanese counterparts, except Mazda nowadays is pretty on par with vw actually. Honestly I think Mazdas are the best value but that’s just what I think, but they have lower resale value like vw.
@@mustasheolll2020 yeah when the car worked it felt great, but every 1000 miles or so something else would go wrong that I'd have to fix. Guess I can't complain too much though, that Passat taught me a lot about working on cars.

Think of the times we're in right now. Everything is a little expensive. I found a 2007 for 10k at a used dealer, 1 owner and 90k miles it's a little expensive but the fact that there's 1 owner and those low miles within a 250 mile radius? Yeah I'm taking it lol

the coupes have blobby asses, 4drs look more like classic civics

Picking up my 2010 SI on Friday (bone stock) selling my base RSX for it, so excited thanks for the video man!!!!
Coming from a base RSX to a Si was it a big noticeable difference? Currently own a RSX and am planning on getting an Si as well
I love the little quirks. The handbrake, the double cluster, the wipers…
You’re so right about the weird shaped handbrake! I just bought my 07 SI with 140,000 and I love it!
Those 2 big cup 🥤 holders in the civic are my JAM. Love my civic.
I'm a Honda tech and own a fa5. I say the same, best SI you can get.

Why would a car being very common be bad? A car being very common results in cheaper modded parts, etc.
There’s something about looking over and seeing a grandma driving your car that just kills the cool factor of it
