Tobacco fragrances always remind me of holidays to Cyprus, where on arrival at Larnaca airport there would be all the taxi drivers sat outside playing drafts and chain smoking lucky strikes. Also trekking through tobacco fields in Thailand; I think tobacco can work in any season.

Just bought a sample of Tobacco Oud - it's amazing! I don't know why it's taken me so long to buy it! I think because I'm one of the few that dislikes TF Oud Wood - so I thought it would be slightly similar but no way near thankfully! It sort of reminds me a bit of the discontinued TF Extreme, but with Tobacco and less fruity - but similar sort of darkness to it. I've just ordered a bottle of it. 'm very tempted to buy the Intense version too, but I'll wait until I've used the regular version a bit first!

Agreed! I used to love the deep richness of TO but since I've smelled TOI it now seems so light.
Wearin Tobacco Oud rn.. It smells incredible!! Tobacco Oud, Chanel Egoiste & TF Noir Extreme are my fav scents.

Wearing Tobacco Oud Intense now it's definitely more Oudy and more INTENSE than Tobacco Oud,I like Tobacco Oud a lot better and the longevity seems pretty equal...

Would you say it's redundant to own Tobacco Oud and the Intense ?
Tobacco oud intense was blew me away when I first smelled it. It really lives up to the name. I’ve got compliments on it and the smell is just breathtaking for me. If you want to stand out, trust me this will put out there on high alert! I’ve experienced people turning their heads when I passed by and it was awesome.
terrific review thank you I love TF TOBACCO OUD INTENSE while I cannot stand TF TOBACCO OUD I do not like the whiskey top note of TFTO I find them to be VERY different I wish someone from the industry could explain why so many INTENSE versions smell unlike the original I wish theyd simply come up with a new name JIM from MIAMI BEACH

I'm a huge Tom Ford fan. I have 15 of his fragrances and my wife has 4. I obtained Tobacco Oud Intense with great anticipation from Neiman Marcus yesterday July 5th 2018. WTF! I sent it straight back within 3 sprays. I am very Oud oriented and I know castoreum which it had neither. Tobacco Oud is the bomb, but DON'T waste a dime on Tobacco Oud Intense. Neiman Marcus was decent
enough to send me a shipping label and allow the return knowing I used three sprays. No projection on Oud Intense and sprayed onto my skin within 20 minutes of no fragrance shower water as I
always do when I'm putting on fragrance and especially trying out a new one. Within 30 minutes no fragrance projection and a skin fragrance only within 15 minutes, my wife or I couldn't believe it,
barely smell it as a skin scent. I was totally incensed and I cannot believe this was put out by Tom Ford. I even wondered if NM may not be getting counterfeits in now, I sure hope not, the heat gun seals were both large and thick and irregular and the side seems weren't cherry tight like all my other new Tom Ford bottle have been. Either a real factory defect, or, counterfeit people in the ware
house may be playing the ol' switcheroo, get some of that BS from Ebay or Amazon and keeping the good stuff. I have ten years and many bottles of Tom Ford and I've never even considered sending one back. They need to send that bottle to the Tom Ford Factory and examine it for real. I have many Ensar Ouds and several Agura Aura Ouds, I know Oud and castoreum, this was like being hit by
lightening. I will give praises to Oud Wood Intense, superb, and to Tobacco Vanille, Vanille Fatale, Noir Extreme is Super!, But Tuscan Leather, on days I don't wear it I stop by the safe and still smell it.
I really want to get a sample of TOI, but it’s almost impossible to get in the UK. I’m thinking of going into Selfridges for a spray!
Amazing comparison once again. I still don’t love the opening of Tobacco Oud but the more I wear it the more I appreciate the dry down. Oud Wood Intense is completely different mainly due to the castoreum but it somehow works, especially for colder nights

FRAG-MENTAL yeah you’re definitely in the minority with the opening haha still good nonetheless. Many people don’t care for OWI because of the opening but it’s definitely worth a sample!
I have both versions and they are truly marvelous..If to choose between the two definitely the intense version 👍

Yes I agree. Definitely not as smooth. Tobacco Oud Intense is fairly similar to Tobacco Oud.
Gotta ALWAYS SAMPLE these EXPENSIVE colognes,save a lot of money by sampling first..

I love the original and own the 100ml. My challenge is that I barely smell it after application. What am I doing wrong and how do I get it to project and last long on me... plus how many sprays is enough?
I'd say 4-6 sprays. This is a strong and long lasting scent so perhaps you become anosmic to it. Try using a skin moisturiser first and also spray on clothes too 👍🏻

I would buy Tobacco OUD intense if the price was closer to Tobacco OUD
I'm picking up a bottle of Tobacco Oud Intense tomorrow at the airport - currently £175 (duty-free) for 50ml. That's only £10 more expensive than the UK retail price of the normal Tobacco Oud.
Jon Grafton was in Europe last week... the dept store had a pretty sale on their fragrances... got tobacco Oud intense 50ml for €170

Tobacco oud is wonderful an awsome fragrance it is more about tobacco and amber rather than tobacco and oud. The oud is there i can smell it but it is not the star of the show. Tobacco amber would be the right name for this master piece. It is dark , deep, mysterious, rich ambery a lot of resion, boozy, woody heaven. I am so glad i bought a bottle before it was to late since they discontinued it sadly .
I smelt tobacco oud from the cap and its like dried saliva :(( hate it. Tobacco Vanille is a bit too sweet
The original is the best for sure much more intense than the intense version

Tom Ford has decided he wants to add the word "Intense" to some of his fragrances and sell 50ml of it to you for about the same price as 100ml of the "non-intense" scent. Also note that some of his newest releases have also adopted this new pricing structure (e.g. Bitter Peach, Lost Cherry, F*cking Fabulous). The concentration is the same, Eau De Parfum, for both the intense and non-intense. What you are getting is a rebalancing of notes in the intense version and that is pretty much it. Some may love it. I personally think the value for money here is abysmal and there's is no way I would pay $7.20 per ml for any Tom Ford fragrance. Tom Ford is not Roja Dove but Ford is pricing these creations like Roja perfumes, and they most certainly are NOT even close to being in the same league. And while I am a qualified fan of the Tom Ford brand, I am not a fan of him trying to take his designer brand into the luxury space where pricing is concerned. Fortunately for me I have enough of my favorite Tom Ford fragrances to last well into the foreseeable future, having bought 250ml decanters of Tobacco Vanille and Tuscan Leather, and 100ml bottles of Tobacco Oud, Fougere D'Argent, Noir de Noir, and Amber Absolute. I won't be buying any of these overpriced 50ml perfumes.

I agree will never buy those overpriced ones never. I stick to my Tobacco vanille, tobacco oud, plum japonise and tuscan leather these are not cheap ethier but much better fragrances than those intense or the ones you talked about

TF: TO just didnt work for me surprisingly (neither did OUD FLEUR) perhaps it was the WHISKEY note however INTENSE sounds wonderful with its AMBER going to grab a sample cheers JIM from MIAMI BEACH

Oud Wood Intense... The opening is terrible! I can't stand it. But the dry-down has a similar scent as the original oud wood.
Absolutely spotless review. Unfortunately I don't like Tobacco oud, I find the oud a bit animalic, not sweet at all to my nose. I get a lot of cedar or pine, and a lot of patchouli. The tabacco is a lot more pungent than for instance in tobacco vanille, and not sweet like in Herod, the dry-down rounds it up a little, but it's not my cup of tea I'm afraid...

To me, Tobacco Oud and Tobacco Oud Intense are too similar to have both. I also happen to think Tobacco Oud Intense DESTROYS Tobacco Oud!!!! I love it so much!!!! Tom Ford did a great job, but they are WAY TOO PROUD... price wise( seriously Tom STOP, stop being greedy. Price does equal exclusivity... of most people, BAD TOM!!!) Oud Wood and Oud Wood Intense are nothing alike, but both are awesome. I prefer Oud wood over Oud wood Intense, but bought full bottles of all but Tobacco Oud, so there is the results.
Oh yeh it's all about the money! I too prefer Oud Wood over Oud Wood Intense.
Retail price is a pain in the ass. I bought Tobacco Oud 50 ml (tester) for usd$100-
