Vanille Fatale is 11/10 for me 😍 I hate tobacco, so it’s the perfect alternative to tobacco vanille. It’s so dark, mysterious and warm. Not a too sweet vanilla which makes it perfectly unisex.
Unironically best fragrance content out there, great combo of fun react videos, deepdives, reviews, compilations and lists. not just endless top 10 panty droppers. getting ur collection roasted by omar is the pinnacle of fragcom.
I disagree. I think videos like this one are the only ones worth watching. Roasts and reactions are trash content, and a waste of time for such a great nose.
Great video btw. Some of the line is great but the price tag makes them hard to justify a lot of the time. Oud Wood is another favourite, along with Tuscan Leather, although I've just been bought Ombre Leather Parfum, so it'll be interesting to see how that compares.
I agree on the simplicity of Myrrhe Mystere. I got it as a gift and find it alright as daily driver vs the Amouage Interlude. I also own the Bois Maroccain. I agree with the 7,5. It was a duty free purchase that I am trying not to regret. It makes me smell better than the majority of people, but not in the same league as my other niche perfumes.
Completely agree that old school Tom Ford Private Blend offerings were very special. Unfortunately, their new offerings over the past few years have been tremendous letdowns and have sullied the brand as far as I am concerned.
Totally agree! They have discontinued their more interesting scents for the more familiar and similar - vanilla, tobacco and oud… there seems to be a lot with these notes.
Great review 👏 I have 12 fragrances of Tom Ford. After this review i also can try Santal Blush. I dont agree about just one fragrance and thats Tobacco Oud. Its a star, it’s the reason why i start to use TF. There are similar fragrances but not good as it. Tobacco oud is elegant and dirty at the same time. Nothing can replace it. It’s 10/10 with stars 😀

hey Omar, can you maybe do a video about reformulated fragrances one day? I don't understand why a lot of brands do that, is it just about money or are there any other reasons? I bought PDM Layton a few months ago and I am really disappointed with the performance. I get about 5-6 hours. I think it has also been reformulated because a lot reviews say the longevity should be about 10+ hours. Best Wishes from Austria to my favorite fragrance UA-camr

I suppose because the ingredients are cheaper, the brand is making much more money from the ever escalating prices, but ultimately it will turn buyers away, and compromise the reputation of the brand, so it's bad policy and kind of goes against the entire point of the artistry behind the original fragrance creation 🤷🏽
Greed and ppl are not buying as much as they used to. That’s why I always advise ppl to buy any new perfume release and if u love it buy back ups because after the first year release, it will be severely reformulated. They release a nice strong formula to hook ppl in, then they weaken it and often reformulate with cheaper ingredients. The perfume industry is corrupt AF. Ppl have no idea. I have started supporting small Niche and Independent perfumers . They are the only ones who I trust to use the best ingredients and keep it consistent. Oh and my favorite deception, release an extrait version, charge a lot more for what the original USED to be. Despicable . And we allow them to rip us off by buying their reformulations. Great video 💯 I have the share Omar's opinion on F****** Fabulous and there is great alternative to that fragrance like Mancera Black Gold (Not the same type of leather fragrance but same function) . Omar you need to do it with Dior Private collection 👍
I am just getting into Tom Ford fragrances; I have Oud Wood and Ombré Leather. Really like both of those. As we are coming out of winter I am looking for a couple more for spring and fall and I think this list gave me some good options. That said, is there a Tom Ford option that would be appropriate for the office/ work place?
Actually, the newest formulations of tuscan leather, ombre leather, oud wood doesn't have a great projection but has a classy scent, so you could use them in the office
Excellent review covering all the TF private blends. Their new Vanilla sex is good if you like sweeter type scents. The Scent Splits, are they the actual product or smelly-like copies??

The first time i smelled neroli portofino, i was confused i was very used to this smell. As it turns out my Grandfather uses the original eau de cologne by 4711 which smells the same and you can find it for about a 100th of the price of neroli portofino😅
Got a sample of Myrrhe Mystére and fell in love with it. Got a lot of compliments. I think it's one of the best in the line. The price is so insane though and it doesn't even come in a 100ml.
@@SchoolOfScent since they're a part of Estee Lauder now I wonder if buying a couple shares and asking questions about prices and reformulations on investor calls is a way to get answers lol.

They arent similar smells per se, just similar in terms of "proposal" so to speak. I would also add that atelier cologne cafe tuberosa might even be better than noir de noir if you dont mind the... Well... Tuberosa!
I do agree that Ebene Fume is quite simplistic and way too expensive for what it is but as a scent for me it hits the spot. I don't know the other one but Oud Malaki is definitely not a good alternative as it's mostly sweet and spicy so not really what you're looking for if you like Ebene Fume.
Daaamn dude, you legit gave the poopy fragrance a higher score than Myrhh Mystere !!! Myrhh Mystere is a huge compliment getter for me too and not once has anyone compared it to 💩 poop!! So that should be enough to at least rate it 1 point higher!

Oud wood is REALLY not worth it in 2023. Got a 100ml bottle 3 days ago and the scent fades away for me after 30 minutes (It’s real) It becomes a very close skin scent only after that period of time. Its so unfortunate, cause this scent got me into fragrances when I first smelled it. Regret purchasing it for the current price.
Because Tom Ford reformulate everything . You have to buy older Tom Ford bottles . Nothing after 2020. Because of Covid, perfumers panicked because ppl weren’t buying as much perfume because ppl were saving their money not knowing what the future held so all the big brands severely reformulated their perfume lines . A lot of ppl don’t know this. And many ppl think they’ve bought fakes coz the fragrance is so weak. I bought my perfume direct from the brand website and it’s disgustingly weak. I had to return perfumes back to TF and MFK due to extreme weakness.
Really? The first time I wore this, I could still smell it waking up the next morning when I applied it in the afternoon. I was impressed by the longevity and strength. Not sure how people’s experiences can vary so much this way.

Tobacco Oud IS the worst fragrance ever! Agree with u on most things except Bitter Peach. I love BP. I understand why u won’t like it, but I love Peach and it’s better as it wears down.
