I prefer TOI by the slightest of margins; but I fully enjoy both. I agree that TO is a little dirtier but in the most sophisticated way possible. This review is thorough and spot-on. Both NOT for the office and both should be worn exclusively in cold weather. Thanks for reviewing these masterpieces.

Great review! I don't think I have tried these two yet. I've been looking for a fragrance with raspberry but a little less forward than Tuscan Leather. As a native New Yorker, I find that people in the US don't seem to be used to Oud nor smelling Raspberry on men. I am African American and we generally user incense and agar woods frequently. Our culture tends to be a mix of Christian and Islam with shops and mosque bazaars selling spices and fragrance oils. I find Oud.. Agar and gourmands are extremely common in Kuwait, Qatar, Dubai and cities in Europe but not so common in NYC/LA though they do exist but seem to be more niche and more popular with fragrance reviewers that the general public. I find it difficult to wear a fragrance like Tuscan Leather and Oud wood in the states or around unsophisticated people. I personally love these fragrances and wear them for myself not for compliments.
I really like Tobacco Oud due to its warm/boozy/woody smoothness and great performance. Tobacco Oud Intense however is too much for me: It's pretty stinky/dirty (probably from the Castoreum) and it's not as smooth as the original Tobacco Oud, in my opinion.
With a Gentleman suit attend private club for a drink n with a Cuban cigar. Wear along Tobacco Oud Intense. Thank u for making this comparison with such great depth of details. I really appreciate it.

What you describe as a raspberry note smells like sour plum to me - it makes oud intense brighter and more interesting than oud. I also find oud intense wearable as a woman with a prediction for stronger, bewitching scents
$360 retail for 50ml of juice is outrageous, even from most niche houses much less a designer shop like Tom Ford - Private Blend be damned. Has anyone else noticed a trend with Tom Ford, 50ml bottles sizes only, and sky high pricing??? Reviewers need to start calling TF out for this nonsense. $7.20 per mil for a Tom Ford fragrance?? Are you kidding me? Has Tom Ford suddenly mistaken himself for Roja Dove? Value for money here is horrible, and these newest concoctions from Tom Ford look like little more than a money grab that capitalizes on Tom Ford's popularity. The adage, fools and their money are soon parted seems to apply here. And just to be clear, I own several Private Blend fragrances. Fortunately for me my supplies of Tobacco Vanille, Tobacco Oud, Tuscan Leather, Noir de Noir, and Fougere D'Argent will last me for the foreseeable future. I have no plans to buy any of these overpriced 50ml Tom Ford perfumes.
Im crazy about tobacco oud, its my favorite fragrance by far. I cant beleive they list as unisex though, this sent should never be on a woman, unless it was transfered by prolonged physical contact.
I'd also go for Oud Wood. Tobacco Oud could work as well, but it's more controversial than Oud Wood. Definitely avoid the intense versions of both these fragrances if your goal is getting compliments.
Oud wood smells amazing but the performance is absolutely shocking. I have a 100ml bottle and wish I stuck with a 50ml now. Honestly for me and many others I've spoke to it becomes a skin scent within a couple of hours.

Hello there, I’ve not smelled either of these too,but I’ve smelled Oud Wood , Tobacco Vanille and black orchid, I can’t smell it because they aren’t available in Hong Kong Tom Ford boutique so I was going to blind buy Tom Ford Tobacco Oud I’m pretty sure I’m going to like it because I like daring fragrances but as you’ve said that intense is better and more spicier and all that good stuff about it I’m kinda confused 🤷🏼♂️??? And I do not like earthy types of fragrances that much 🙄🤷🏼♂️???
Gary Dhaliwal As I said in video TO is very dry semi balsamic! TOI is Balsamic, spicy and Amber both are polarizing but TOI is more so because it has animalic notes in it! I would get a sample of both first but since you already put your heart into TO I would just get that! Hope helps! Fragrances are subjective what I like, you might hate!!!! 💡

I find TO to be "dirtier" than TOI and I do prefer TOI over TO but for a weird reason I do wear TO more than TOI.
Because we often save our favorite fragrances for more special occasions. It makes it more special.

Oud Wood. If its compliments you want, its compliments this gets👌. Definitely sample Oud Wood Intense first if you havent smelled before lol

Tobacco oud intense is much softer on me unfortunately but yeah it does last longer.
