I just beat him today on my own and twice while being summoned, all you need is a strong tower shield, the scarlet rot rapier with bleed added on, and the magic spell that buffs shields, and you can literally just turtle radhan, the most difficult part is stamina management
If for some reason some of you are not getting the same numbers in damage to go straight to 2 phase, try farming the Staff of the Guilty and replace the jelly shield for it. It worked for me.
I finally did it 😢. For anyone who isn't good at the game like me this is what I did: Stats: 80 Int/80 Arcane/40 Vigor/25 Faith and the rest I don't think matters. Just enough to use the staffs. Weapons: Maternal staff +24 (R) with Staff of Guilty +24 (L). Buff Incantations: Golden Vow, Blessings Boon (prob optional), and O Flame Grant Me Strength. Talismen: Graven School, Graven Mass, Dragon Crest Shield (Max phys dmg negation) and Golden Hair (Max Holy Dmg negation). Arnour: I wore the full Alberich set except the heaviest boots that I could still med roll in. I saw the boots don't actually increase thorn sorcery? I hope I didn't make it harder by needing the full set tho... Ashes: Taylew the Golem Smith Flasks: 10 HP and 4 FP Wondrous Physic: Same as this video. Magic cracked tear and the bloodsucking one. Scadu Fragment Level: 20/20 Revered Spirit Ash Level: 10/10 Step 1: Same as the video. Dodge the first gravity attack and use Impenetrable Thorns. This did get me to p2 immediately. Step 2: Run away from the holy blast with enough time to summon Taylew. He immediately took the aggro for me. Step 3: Spam 2 or 3 more thorns and he died. I made sure to be somewhat close when doing this. IMPORTANT: I read that summoning co-op NPCs and Players adds health to the boss?? So I did all this alone with just the spirit ash. Correct me if I'm wrong here! I've even helped 3 other people win their fight against Promised Consort Radahn so I feel pretty happy about this build. Thanks for sharing it!

It worked! IT'S NOT NERFED at 6.07.2024. If you don't have Scadu level 20, just use terra magica do boost your damage. you can cast this at the beginning of the fight, it's very fast.
Thank you again GURU!!! I’ve finally beaten Radahn after 20 hours using this build! I won’t lie, I didn’t get your damage output as I was on NG +3, so it took a lot of tries to get it to work for me, but by using the build, adding commanders standard and golden vow, and swapping the talisman for Radagon icon for faster casting, and summoning mimic and Thiollier as distractions, I FINALLY DID IT!!, never again though 😂😂😂
I replaced the Jellyfish shield with Staff of the Guilty and the Godfrey talisman with Radagon Icon, I also use Golden Vow. I can hit him for more than 17k damage in NG+ and it takes me directly to the second phase like in the video. I'm at Scadutree blessing level 14. I ended up summoning the golem as soon as phase 2 startet, and then just blasted Radahn to oblivion while the golem was tanking.
you have saved my sanity, just beat him with this build on ng+ (with a few tweaks, here’s what worked for me if anyone’s curious): -physik: opaline hardtear + magic shrouding cracked tear -talismans: graven school, graven mass, dragoncrest greatshield, lord of blood’s exultation i also wore the tree sentinel armor with alberich’s hat and bracers for a little extra poise. i had to hit him a few more times with the thorns than he did in this video, but i was still doing crazy damage. thank you for this!! ❤
There's another way you can cheese the final boss of the DLC. What you can do is use your to go to spells "Unseen Form" and "Assassin's Gambit" before entering the fog wall. At which point what you need to do is wait for Radhan to turn around and start walking to the back of the arena like a buffoon and start moving towards the right of the arena hugging the wall while constantly refreshing the "Assassin's Gambit" and "Unseen Form" as you go so that he doesn't see you while you're sneaking. You may also want to equip the two talismans "Crepus's Veil" and "Concealing Veil" so that you can sneak away when the time is right. Be sure not to crumble anything near him while you're sneaking two and away from the boss as this is the most important part because he will notice you if you do and you will regret it. Once you're successful at sneaking right up on his ass is when you start blasting away with the Poison Mist. After delivering the last dose of Miss before phase 2 comes around is when you start sneaking back around to the right side of the arena and put on the "Mystic Veil" . One's phase 2 starts you will be teleported to the center of the arena, but the boss won't notice you because of the "Mystic Veil" . Wait for him to turn around and go back into his spot before making a beeline back to the piss wall and wait there. It might take a few seconds and when he tries to charge you he will fall through the map and you'll claim your victory.
If anybody has a melee build or doesn’t wanna respec etc. If you get the flower blossoms twice ash of war and put it on a dagger(low weight), then hit him with the aow after he does that spin attack at the start, and he will be Scarlett rotted and first phase will become just running around to stay alive and only have to worry about second phase
@@SlickDangler10 if you rot him with the ash of war I mentioned, it will take out his entire first phase, I’ve done it about 50 times now. You cannot rot him in second phase though.
99 int/arc + the exact gear recommended and 20 scadutree blessing + no summoned help = consistent 1 shots in p1. Buffs: flame grant me strength + commanders spear/golden vow. 779 AP equipped. Wore the faster version of godfrey icon too. i've been trying to follow this cheese build for like 6 hrs straight but only with the above setup did I start getting to p2 every single try. Now i'm fishing for the perfect rng where he doesn't do any damage to you in p2 somehow. pray for me.
Played the whole dlc with my current strength build. Been fighting this boss for legit 4 days straight I’m on like attempt 250 im ready for it to get over with so guess I’ll cheese him and call it good
If people are not finding enough damage to go straight to second phase, I added O'Neils buff and golden vow along with the jelly shield and the mix, this work consistently for me.
@@nuxe7598 o’Neil’s weapon has a unique art that grants you and those around you a damage buff, I simply used the art, switched to a dagger with golden vow, switched to jelly, drank mix walked in, and prayed RNG would be nice. Also forgot to mention, I switched Godfrey talisman for the radagon one cause I wasn’t able to dodge his attacks without the extra speed.
@@JonJon-kx6xlmake sure you have all the scadutree fragments, whenever you do the thorn attack you need to be close to him or else your thorns will miss and you will do less damage. Use any talismans or items that boost bleed they help a lot ( for example the white mask and lord of blood exultation talisman) Since you are in NG+7 Radahn’s health will be much higher so it’ll take more hits to kill
@@JonJon-kx6xlAlso if you have it, use the mimic so you can both deal damage to him and you can take turns taking the aggro to allow the other to get close for an attack.
Figures. The one talisman you can be locked out of getting is the one talisman I need. I can't do enough damage to trigger phase 2 in one attack. Plus he seems to never want to do his AOE at the start of phase 2 or his gravity dive. Back to pulling my hair out
Just beat it, took me ages too for him to do his gravity attack. As for damage if you need a boost try using Howl of Shabiri and Rallying Standard, both gave me enough damage to one shot his first phase without the talisman (since I got locked out of it as well).

If you have not beaten scadutree avatar, you should. It drops miquellas great rune(it's an item that is basically like the shackles, it's infinite use item)which prevents the grab move. Hopefully, that tip helps. I'm commenting about it on every video for radahn I see because no one seems to be talking about it tbh. It's understandable considering the item description for miquellas Great Rune(like a lot if items in ER) doesn't really tell you what it does. Good luck fellow tarnished. ✌️
I used the thorn build yesterday to beat him but since I was on NG+3 it took everything 13 HP and 1 FP, mimic, and wonderous physick. Just glad to have it all beat.
@@RemyMa88 The difficulty to fun ratio is way off for anyone on NG+. There were several times I felt the same way. Even “Let me solo her” spent over 3 hours on radahn. He really is a joke of a boss fight. It wasn’t super enjoyable. I had more fun doing side quest and bosses.
Try ng+8 the game is fun the bosses are terrible thou 😂 I still haven't beat him and no one survives more than 2 mins to help all these builds only one shot on early easy playthroughs lol
Can you please share your stats? I am already at level 304 with NG+2 but I can't bear him .. I have scadu level 18 and trying to beat him with thorns or perfume build 😢
Thankyou guru. This build helped me get the job done. Only took 4-5 hits with the thorns to kill him but trying to find an opening came down to gifts from the RNG gods. Isshin, Gael, Orphan ect, were such great battles that even after what felt like an age to finally beat them, I couldn't wait to try it again. This guy I never want to fight again. Ever.
For those of you who can't get to the armor required for this look no further the rakshasa armor found within the dlc increases damage dealt to foes but greatly increases damage taken
Great video. Max damage I can get with the first attack is 23,324. I have everything equipped that you have, I've read the description many times and watched the video a lot .I also tried to use the flask after the shield and before the shield also. I have all the Scadutree fragments maxed and same armor. I'm not on NG either. I even raised the shiel to 9 staff to 25. my stats are int80,arc80,fai24,vigor30,mind20,end22,dex14,str20. Also using Godricks great rune with the flask and the jelly shield. I cant get him into phase 2 with one hit like you did .Any tips?
I think it’s also where you hit him with the thorn attack. It has to be close and go straight up. But when I did do 23k damage it didn’t take away the life bar as much as a 18-15 k damage for some reason. I just moved onto a better build using heavy armour. But something is weird about his build, I tried so many times. I also don’t know if there’s a difference in PC and PS5. And if you’re in NG+ his stats change
I'm doing more (18k) damage on a hit using the Staff of the Guilty in the offhand instead of the Jellyfish Shield... and it still isn't enough to one shot p1. Identical build otherwise. I've lost track of what NG level I'm on at this point, but yeah...
To everyone needing to know what to respec. 80 intelligence and arcane, 20 strength, 24 faith Dont be like me and use your last 4 tears to respec to use everything shown in the video. Downside for me is im at blessing 16 and cant get the armor because i already killed radagon so i just gotta hope i can get enough time to attack and dodge
I'm getting same number. Questioning if it's a matter of placement after the roll. If I were light rolling rather than medium rolling, I wonder if I would land far enough back to tick the damage up a taste.
Position can be important closer the better and aim directly at his center. I only had 17 blessings as was hitting for 15.8K casting vow before the shield/flask brought that to 17.5K good enough for a single hit second phase. Vow easily lasts the whole fight if you have to avoid him too long.

i use all the same stuff except to reach 16k+ i use terra magica at the fog wall before, when he comes i roll back into it and cast while inside. i also dont use the icon i use both graven talismans magic scorp charm and the new stardust talisman. hope it helps glgl
Im on ng+5 and it doesn't work for me either. This boss is totally out of control. I got lucky one fight and got him down to a quarter left of life. But that's the best I have done. I've been stuck on him for 3 days now.
It took me 21 tries on max NG with a lvl9 shadow blessing(pre-patch) to beat Messmer. HOWEVER; the Messmer fight was actually engaging and fun. I never got irritated in those 30 something minutes. Radahn on the other hand I've only attempted 15ish times. I've gotten him very close to death 5 or 6 of those. But I'm not even stressing over it because the fight isn't interesting or fun. A 'big let down. I've just been making builds when I jump on the game now. Not sure if I want to just NG again ir actually beat him. Definitely sh@ on my lingering excitement for the dlc once I walked through that fog gate.. The dlc otherwise is a 9/10 for me. Easy. The open world is way better than Vanilla. I like the armor additions. The spells are, meh, but w/e. The other bosses are cool af and are difficult, imo, the RIGHT way.
It took me a bit to catch on as to what I was doing wrong, and it was the distance between me and radahn. You have to be pretty up close to him for the thorns to go straight up instead of three separate rows. Take some practice but can be done. Hope this helps people.
The recovery animation doesn't give you time enough to dodge that swing after he dives. If you don't hit phase 2 with your first cast, it's game over. I likewise spent a couple hours trying to get this to work and eventually gave up and specced to a different build. Either Impenetrable Thorns was drastically nerfed since this upload, or there's something going on that's not shown in the video.
On NG+3 I added flame grant me strenth and commander's standard before contagious fury and flask, int and arcane lvl 99 and the first phase was on one hit :) the second phase on 3 hits (without any summoning) Good luck:)

At RL 180 / Scad 20/10, I wasn't able to duplicate this strategy, but I did beat them with Impenetrable Thorns: * More vigor (60/13/10/20/14/57/25/60) * More defense (graven-school, graven-mass, dragoncrest, golden braid), plus Tree Sentinel greaves * More strategic physick (glovewort, crimsonwhorl), drank at start of second phase * Ansbach for some distraction so I could summon Mimic Tear Still took quite a few tries tho'.
Miquellas great rune(get it from scadutree avatar) is like the shackles and stops the grab attack(it removes the markers)for those who may have trouble with the grab. ✌️
This sorcery might get nerfed so we might need another cheese tactic Took me longer to defeat Radahn since I wasn't using the buffs, me and my mimic were casting the thorns while we had Ansbach and Thiolier fighting him head on
Thumbshield + any bleed thrusting weapon + barricade + green turtle talisman. Consistent wins. That or just the new parry tear with miquella hair and you can treat this like a senior boss
@@jasonheath7045 Will warn you this makes the boss piss easy (then again any other build is near impossible), I tried the Strat out with my mimic tear and offed myself near the end when the boss was almost dead because I almost beat him first try. I ended up beating him with Malekith's black blade instead albeit with a lot more struggling.
Hopefully not. What needs to be patched is not a spell being nerfed, but having the boss attack you before your character is fully through the fog Wall is what needs a nerf
Bless your soul, THANK YOU! I managed to 4 shot Radahn in NG+5. Hardest 4 shots I ever had to land lol. I ended up substituting some things, like using a medium shield with Vow of the Indomitable, Golden Vow, and Beloved Stardust in place of Godfrey Icon. Still managed to get 15k-16k damage consistently however.
I used this build and I finally killed Consort Radahn! Thank you! I died hundreds of times and it took me over 8+ hours to beat him, but I did it! This boss is frustrating, but awesome at the same time! Miyazaki was clearly trolling us! 😂
@@forsaken7752 I was not, made a brand new character to run through the DLC. Did finally beat him though, but never had the same damage output as was shown in this video, not sure why.
Finally beat this guy! Btw I only had level 17 in the fragments and couldn’t one-shot him in phase 1. What you can do is cast greatblade phalanx immediately after you enter the area and it’ll hit him once you dodge that first attack. After that you can cast the thorns and end phase 1
80 intel 80 arcane maxed that staff have that same armor have the jelly fish buff flask with those 2 tears same talismans no summons cast the spell right next to him .....and it does not even get him close to ending phase 1. Please explain what I am doing wrong.
My guess is it has something to do with frame rate, the same thing happened when the Haorfrost Stomp cheese was a thing, some people do crazy damage while others did really little.
If you’re not quite getting the damage you want to get him to the next phase try using Terra Magica. It’s hard to line up perfectly but it can get you over the threshold
Wow, I just defeated him! 🥳. I thought he was unbeatable but it only took three shots to destroy him, exactly like you said. I only used Staff of the Guilty instead of your shield and Beloved Stardust instead of magic talisman, as I don't have it. Plus, I applied Golden Vow and Bestial Vitality before entering the arena. I would have never beaten him without Impenetrable Thorns. Thank you, sir.

You are the man!!! I wasted my time watching other people, holding 2 staffs, senbuko, howling frenzy etc and didn't make a difference. This worked 2nd go and was simple.
Tyrannical, the ONLY reason I haven’t subscribed is because it seems like our fights are always different no matter how I copy everything you do. For example, in the second phase Radahn spent some time checking you out before attacking. Mine? He immediately pulls me in, grabs me by the waste, spins me around and bends me over, and then proceeds to rearrange my guts. It’s weird, everytime I watch everyone else do a fight, they don’t get the complete VOLLY of aggro that I seem to be getting in my game. I have video proof that I somehow get more aggro than anyone in the elden ring community. I’ll summon two people with big shields, constantly poking him, and the second that I shoot a tiny lighting bolt he comes over and gives me everything he’s got back to back.
Buddy stop the cap your prolly level 130 ofc you ain’t doing shit with this staff, you failed to listen when he said read the description u need at least 80 int and 80 arc for this spell to work properly use your talisman properly as well too I use thorns I have 80 arc 80 int and 80 faith I use the staff of the guilty in my left hand it gives bonus damage to thorns spells, if I going against radahn I use the finger print shield it blocks 100 percent physical use the holy braid and the dragon crest greatshield Talisman, against radahn two hits takes him to phase two and one more in that second phase puts him down
I came here because I needed some much needed guidance. Tyrannicon's videos saved me many times when I was playing Sekiro. There is being challenging by design and then there is making the game harder than it actually is because you're being too prideful to admit your approach isn't working. After 10+ tries doing it my way, I think I deserve to optimize my approach. I send an L to all players who gatekeep playstyles. Love you, Tyrannicon!
Edit : Godfrey Icon does not increase the damage, per the wiki impenetrable thorns is not a chargeable spell. I swapped this with the talisman which gives more damage when blood loss occurs and was able to beat him. Having trouble right now with this, I have the armor set, 80 int 80 arc, all 4 talismans, 20 scadutree frags, 25+ Maternal Staff, jellyfish shield, and the tears for the physick. I still don't do enough damage to him to phase 2 him. Maybe 1 out of every 4 tries I can get him to phase 2 like you did in this video.
@@antoniobrace1578 Its not the patch, I realized that your positioning matters a lot to ensure all 3 thorns hit him at once. I also found out that the gofrey icon does not increase the damage at all because when I looked at the wiki, the spell does not get charged. Once I realized that I swapped it for the talisman which does more damage when blood loss occurs and I was able to beat him. A lot of it is RNG luck but if you do what I did hopefully you can beat him with less tries than me.
Just used this to kill Radahn. Thank you so much. Wasn't quite as easy as you made it look. Though, I did summon Ansbach, Thiollier and my mimic, so I wasn't doing as much damage. Also, I'm on NG+2, so I lost damage there too lol. Either way, I did it, thanks to you and this build.

I replaced the Jellyfish shield with Staff of the Guilty and the Godfrey talisman with Radagon Icon, I also use Golden Vow.
I can hit him for more than 17k damage in NG+ and it takes me directly to the second phase like in the video. I'm at Scadutree blessing level 14.
I ended up summoning the golem as soon as phase 2 startet, and then just blasted Radahn to oblivion while the golem was tanking.
you have saved my sanity, just beat him with this build on ng+ (with a few tweaks, here’s what worked for me if anyone’s curious):
-physik: opaline hardtear + magic shrouding cracked tear
-talismans: graven school, graven mass, dragoncrest greatshield, lord of blood’s exultation
i also wore the tree sentinel armor with alberich’s hat and bracers for a little extra poise. i had to hit him a few more times with the thorns than he did in this video, but i was still doing crazy damage.

There's another way you can cheese the final boss of the DLC. What you can do is use your to go to spells "Unseen Form" and "Assassin's Gambit" before entering the fog wall. At which point what you need to do is wait for Radhan to turn around and start walking to the back of the arena like a buffoon and start moving towards the right of the arena hugging the wall while constantly refreshing the "Assassin's Gambit" and "Unseen Form" as you go so that he doesn't see you while you're sneaking. You may also want to equip the two talismans "Crepus's Veil" and "Concealing Veil" so that you can sneak away when the time is right. Be sure not to crumble anything near him while you're sneaking two and away from the boss as this is the most important part because he will notice you if you do and you will regret it. Once you're successful at sneaking right up on his ass is when you start blasting away with the Poison Mist. After delivering the last dose of Miss before phase 2 comes around is when you start sneaking back around to the right side of the arena and put on the "Mystic Veil" . One's phase 2 starts you will be teleported to the center of the arena, but the boss won't notice you because of the "Mystic Veil" . Wait for him to turn around and go back into his spot before making a beeline back to the piss wall and wait there. It might take a few seconds and when he tries to charge you he will fall through the map and you'll claim your victory.
Nah that's patched now. They will spit you no matter what or how you enter.
If anybody has a melee build or doesn’t wanna respec etc. If you get the flower blossoms twice ash of war and put it on a dagger(low weight), then hit him with the aow after he does that spin attack at the start, and he will be Scarlett rotted and first phase will become just running around to stay alive and only have to worry about second phase
Second phase is the only issue. First phase is easy.
Yeah but scarlet rot doesn't do much against that hit bar. Trust me I've rotted him plenty and it goes away ateast 3-4 times before he dies.
@@SlickDangler10 if you rot him with the ash of war I mentioned, it will take out his entire first phase, I’ve done it about 50 times now. You cannot rot him in second phase though.
You can, ive done it with hefty rot pots, it takes one to rot him first phase, and 2 to rot him second phase, at least for me on my NG character.
99 int/arc + the exact gear recommended and 20 scadutree blessing + no summoned help = consistent 1 shots in p1.
Buffs: flame grant me strength + commanders spear/golden vow. 779 AP equipped.
Wore the faster version of godfrey icon too.
i've been trying to follow this cheese build for like 6 hrs straight but only with the above setup did I start getting to p2 every single try. Now i'm fishing for the perfect rng where he doesn't do any damage to you in p2 somehow. pray for me.
Thanks! The golden vow and commander's standard buff were all I was missing to get the 1 shot in phase 1, and it all came together from there
have u got it? u could also add some white mask bloodloss to boost the attack power, or madness with the talisman from winter lanterns

To those in in NG+ all builds OP are not applicable , they do make a lot of damage , but will take 5-9 hits
Played the whole dlc with my current strength build. Been fighting this boss for legit 4 days straight I’m on like attempt 250 im ready for it to get over with so guess I’ll cheese him and call it good

If people are not finding enough damage to go straight to second phase, I added O'Neils buff and golden vow along with the jelly shield and the mix, this work consistently for me.

@@nuxe7598 o’Neil’s weapon has a unique art that grants you and those around you a damage buff, I simply used the art, switched to a dagger with golden vow, switched to jelly, drank mix walked in, and prayed RNG would be nice. Also forgot to mention, I switched Godfrey talisman for the radagon one cause I wasn’t able to dodge his attacks without the extra speed.
On new game +7 this is amazing but I just wish that thollier actually stepped in the arena before I reach radahn on the health bar

@@JonJon-kx6xlmake sure you have all the scadutree fragments, whenever you do the thorn attack you need to be close to him or else your thorns will miss and you will do less damage. Use any talismans or items that boost bleed they help a lot ( for example the white mask and lord of blood exultation talisman) Since you are in NG+7 Radahn’s health will be much higher so it’ll take more hits to kill

Figures. The one talisman you can be locked out of getting is the one talisman I need. I can't do enough damage to trigger phase 2 in one attack. Plus he seems to never want to do his AOE at the start of phase 2 or his gravity dive. Back to pulling my hair out
Just beat it, took me ages too for him to do his gravity attack. As for damage if you need a boost try using Howl of Shabiri and Rallying Standard, both gave me enough damage to one shot his first phase without the talisman (since I got locked out of it as well).

If you have not beaten scadutree avatar, you should. It drops miquellas great rune(it's an item that is basically like the shackles, it's infinite use item)which prevents the grab move. Hopefully, that tip helps. I'm commenting about it on every video for radahn I see because no one seems to be talking about it tbh. It's understandable considering the item description for miquellas Great Rune(like a lot if items in ER) doesn't really tell you what it does. Good luck fellow tarnished. ✌️

I used the thorn build yesterday to beat him but since I was on NG+3 it took everything 13 HP and 1 FP, mimic, and wonderous physick. Just glad to have it all beat.

@@RemyMa88 The difficulty to fun ratio is way off for anyone on NG+. There were several times I felt the same way. Even “Let me solo her” spent over 3 hours on radahn. He really is a joke of a boss fight. It wasn’t super enjoyable. I had more fun doing side quest and bosses.
Try ng+8 the game is fun the bosses are terrible thou 😂
I still haven't beat him and no one survives more than 2 mins to help all these builds only one shot on early easy playthroughs lol

Thankyou guru. This build helped me get the job done. Only took 4-5 hits with the thorns to kill him but trying to find an opening came down to gifts from the RNG gods. Isshin, Gael, Orphan ect, were such great battles that even after what felt like an age to finally beat them, I couldn't wait to try it again. This guy I never want to fight again. Ever.

For those of you who can't get to the armor required for this look no further the rakshasa armor found within the dlc increases damage dealt to foes but greatly increases damage taken

Great video. Max damage I can get with the first attack is 23,324. I have everything equipped that you have, I've read the description many times and watched the video a lot .I also tried to use the flask after the shield and before the shield also. I have all the Scadutree fragments maxed and same armor. I'm not on NG either. I even raised the shiel to 9 staff to 25. my stats are int80,arc80,fai24,vigor30,mind20,end22,dex14,str20. Also using Godricks great rune with the flask and the jelly shield. I cant get him into phase 2 with one hit like you did .Any tips?

Does ng+ effect the dlc final boss? I can 2 hit all the other bosses but can only do min damage to the final boss
I think it’s also where you hit him with the thorn attack. It has to be close and go straight up. But when I did do 23k damage it didn’t take away the life bar as much as a 18-15 k damage for some reason. I just moved onto a better build using heavy armour. But something is weird about his build, I tried so many times. I also don’t know if there’s a difference in PC and PS5. And if you’re in NG+ his stats change

I'm doing more (18k) damage on a hit using the Staff of the Guilty in the offhand instead of the Jellyfish Shield... and it still isn't enough to one shot p1.

I hit for 15,615 with the exact same gear, physics .. everything. Cannot hit for 16k to one shot phase 1
I'm getting same number. Questioning if it's a matter of placement after the roll. If I were light rolling rather than medium rolling, I wonder if I would land far enough back to tick the damage up a taste.
Maybe it's due to a difference in scadutree blessings
Position can be important closer the better and aim directly at his center. I only had 17 blessings as was hitting for 15.8K casting vow before the shield/flask brought that to 17.5K good enough for a single hit second phase. Vow easily lasts the whole fight if you have to avoid him too long.

i use all the same stuff except to reach 16k+ i use terra magica at the fog wall before, when he comes i roll back into it and cast while inside. i also dont use the icon i use both graven talismans magic scorp charm and the new stardust talisman. hope it helps glgl

Im on ng+5 and it doesn't work for me either. This boss is totally out of control. I got lucky one fight and got him down to a quarter left of life. But that's the best I have done. I've been stuck on him for 3 days now.
It took me 21 tries on max NG with a lvl9 shadow blessing(pre-patch) to beat Messmer. HOWEVER; the Messmer fight was actually engaging and fun. I never got irritated in those 30 something minutes. Radahn on the other hand I've only attempted 15ish times. I've gotten him very close to death 5 or 6 of those. But I'm not even stressing over it because the fight isn't interesting or fun. A 'big let down. I've just been making builds when I jump on the game now. Not sure if I want to just NG again ir actually beat him. Definitely sh@ on my lingering excitement for the dlc once I walked through that fog gate.. The dlc otherwise is a 9/10 for me. Easy. The open world is way better than Vanilla. I like the armor additions. The spells are, meh, but w/e. The other bosses are cool af and are difficult, imo, the RIGHT way.

It took me a bit to catch on as to what I was doing wrong, and it was the distance between me and radahn. You have to be pretty up close to him for the thorns to go straight up instead of three separate rows. Take some practice but can be done. Hope this helps people.

The recovery animation doesn't give you time enough to dodge that swing after he dives. If you don't hit phase 2 with your first cast, it's game over.
I likewise spent a couple hours trying to get this to work and eventually gave up and specced to a different build. Either Impenetrable Thorns was drastically nerfed since this upload, or there's something going on that's not shown in the video.

Godrick’s Great Rune and Staff of the Guilty in your off hand helps some. I still can’t do it though. Lol
This DLC has been all about a trillion combos which can kill in 3 hits from the boss and allow just a -0.5 second hit window from the player
On NG+3 I added flame grant me strenth and commander's standard before contagious fury and flask, int and arcane lvl 99 and the first phase was on one hit :) the second phase on 3 hits (without any summoning) Good luck:)

At RL 180 / Scad 20/10, I wasn't able to duplicate this strategy, but I did beat them with Impenetrable Thorns:
* More vigor (60/13/10/20/14/57/25/60)
* More defense (graven-school, graven-mass, dragoncrest, golden braid), plus Tree Sentinel greaves
* More strategic physick (glovewort, crimsonwhorl), drank at start of second phase
* Ansbach for some distraction so I could summon Mimic Tear
Still took quite a few tries tho'.

Miquellas great rune(get it from scadutree avatar) is like the shackles and stops the grab attack(it removes the markers)for those who may have trouble with the grab. ✌️
This sorcery might get nerfed so we might need another cheese tactic
Took me longer to defeat Radahn since I wasn't using the buffs, me and my mimic were casting the thorns while we had Ansbach and Thiolier fighting him head on
Thumbshield + any bleed thrusting weapon + barricade + green turtle talisman. Consistent wins. That or just the new parry tear with miquella hair and you can treat this like a senior boss

@@jasonheath7045 Will warn you this makes the boss piss easy (then again any other build is near impossible), I tried the Strat out with my mimic tear and offed myself near the end when the boss was almost dead because I almost beat him first try.
I ended up beating him with Malekith's black blade instead albeit with a lot more struggling.

Hopefully not. What needs to be patched is not a spell being nerfed, but having the boss attack you before your character is fully through the fog Wall is what needs a nerf

I ended up substituting some things, like using a medium shield with Vow of the Indomitable, Golden Vow, and Beloved Stardust in place of Godfrey Icon. Still managed to get 15k-16k damage consistently however.
how did 15-16k 1 phase him. 23k isn't one phasing him on ng+3.

Because the spell is triggering blood loss "Lord of Blood's exulatation" might work, raising attack by 20% if blood loss occurs in vicinity.
I used this build and I finally killed Consort Radahn! Thank you! I died hundreds of times and it took me over 8+ hours to beat him, but I did it! This boss is frustrating, but awesome at the same time! Miyazaki was clearly trolling us! 😂
Tried this several times, but my damage output with the spell is nowhere near what is in the video.

Finally beat this guy! Btw I only had level 17 in the fragments and couldn’t one-shot him in phase 1. What you can do is cast greatblade phalanx immediately after you enter the area and it’ll hit him once you dodge that first attack. After that you can cast the thorns and end phase 1

On first game. 80 arcane and intelligece. Same things except I dont have Seluvis talisman. I get a lot less damage. I have Scadutree Blessing 17
My guess is it has something to do with frame rate, the same thing happened when the Haorfrost Stomp cheese was a thing, some people do crazy damage while others did really little.

I likewise copied this build to try it and kept dying without getting to phase 2.
If you’re not quite getting the damage you want to get him to the next phase try using Terra Magica. It’s hard to line up perfectly but it can get you over the threshold

Wow, I just defeated him! 🥳. I thought he was unbeatable but it only took three shots to destroy him, exactly like you said. I only used Staff of the Guilty instead of your shield and Beloved Stardust instead of magic talisman, as I don't have it. Plus, I applied Golden Vow and Bestial Vitality before entering the arena. I would have never beaten him without Impenetrable Thorns. Thank you, sir.

@@googlewasmyidea.8411 i was on new game +2, so the fight took much longer. I was able to summon my mimic and with him aggroing radahn it bought me time to recast the spells and get the win.

Tyrannical, the ONLY reason I haven’t subscribed is because it seems like our fights are always different no matter how I copy everything you do. For example, in the second phase Radahn spent some time checking you out before attacking. Mine? He immediately pulls me in, grabs me by the waste, spins me around and bends me over, and then proceeds to rearrange my guts.
It’s weird, everytime I watch everyone else do a fight, they don’t get the complete VOLLY of aggro that I seem to be getting in my game.
I have video proof that I somehow get more aggro than anyone in the elden ring community. I’ll summon two people with big shields, constantly poking him, and the second that I shoot a tiny lighting bolt he comes over and gives me everything he’s got back to back.
Sorry everyone but this been patched… I levelled up the staff but hardly did anything.
Buddy stop the cap your prolly level 130 ofc you ain’t doing shit with this staff, you failed to listen when he said read the description u need at least 80 int and 80 arc for this spell to work properly use your talisman properly as well too I use thorns I have 80 arc 80 int and 80 faith I use the staff of the guilty in my left hand it gives bonus damage to thorns spells, if I going against radahn I use the finger print shield it blocks 100 percent physical use the holy braid and the dragon crest greatshield Talisman, against radahn two hits takes him to phase two and one more in that second phase puts him down
I came here because I needed some much needed guidance. Tyrannicon's videos saved me many times when I was playing Sekiro. There is being challenging by design and then there is making the game harder than it actually is because you're being too prideful to admit your approach isn't working. After 10+ tries doing it my way, I think I deserve to optimize my approach. I send an L to all players who gatekeep playstyles. Love you, Tyrannicon!

I added Royal Knights Resolve to Milady(+25) and Howl of Shabriri to go along with Golden Vow, hitting 19k! 🤯
Edit : Godfrey Icon does not increase the damage, per the wiki impenetrable thorns is not a chargeable spell. I swapped this with the talisman which gives more damage when blood loss occurs and was able to beat him.
Having trouble right now with this, I have the armor set, 80 int 80 arc, all 4 talismans, 20 scadutree frags, 25+ Maternal Staff, jellyfish shield, and the tears for the physick. I still don't do enough damage to him to phase 2 him. Maybe 1 out of every 4 tries I can get him to phase 2 like you did in this video.
Pump more into arc & int for extra damage then to make it more consistent for you.
I'm with you!! I cannot seem to 1hit him in phase 1. It is taking 3 to 4 Impenetrable thorns to get there. Not sure if it's the patch or not
@@antoniobrace1578 Its not the patch, I realized that your positioning matters a lot to ensure all 3 thorns hit him at once. I also found out that the gofrey icon does not increase the damage at all because when I looked at the wiki, the spell does not get charged. Once I realized that I swapped it for the talisman which does more damage when blood loss occurs and I was able to beat him. A lot of it is RNG luck but if you do what I did hopefully you can beat him with less tries than me.
Jellyfish shield was my go to before the dlc so underrated
