thanks for clearly explaining this. I was so confused looking at different pull up bar options on their website!

Very subtle, but can make a big difference.

I have to say I'm really glad you took the time to put together this review. I'm really torn between what type of pull-up bar I want. The only place I have in my entire house is the entrance from the garage. The door frame looks like it would support any of these 48-in bars, but I don't have a ton of overhead space. I can't decide between a pull-up bar that extends out far like this one or one of those multi-grip bars. I'm leaning towards something like this that I can swing on and potentially hang upside down from that is nice and sturdy. However, I do want to do a lot of pull-ups and having different grips would be nice. It is a tough choice and I only want to make it one time.

I have had zero complaints with the P4 version I have. I would just make sure you have studs to support the bar in the locations you are thinking.
There are always multi grip attachments you can buy as well

What size is the bolt used to hold the screw in place so the bar doesn’t move?

Would it be possible to attach the p4 to a patio deck? What's the width of bar needed or recommended bar to buy at home depot to replace the one in this kit? Thank you!

An idea that Inevitable Momentum did was run post into the ground and then attach the post inside of the last board of the deck. From there attach the pull up bar to that like you would the studs(From their ultimate CrossFit home gym video)
From rogue, the brackets can only be spaced 3-4 feet apart, but I honestly like the bar that comes from rogue it would be the more cheaper options you could replace.

Q...tell me what is the weight of this pull up bar ??????
I made it from the fabrication shop and its weight was 11 kg.

The larger depth is about 16.8 kg (P4)
The short depth is about 14.1 kg (P3)

I could see using the longer 30 inch one for hanging a double end bag or small punching bag ( 30 or 40lb bag) for boxing training. I want to get a pull up bar to keep my pull up game in check but I also would love to be able to hang a bag on it too, that 30inches from the wall seems like a nice touch. what do you think?

I would agree, it would be like having a set of gymnastics rings on the pull up bar.

What is the height of your ceiling if you don’t mind me asking? I know that you have that extra space above, but trying to judge whether an 8 ft ceiling plus a P4 mounted to the wall would give me enough room to do BMUs (I’m 5’8’’).

      My ceiling is around 9’3
I would say that 8’ ceilings would be too short of a ceiling for bmu.

European here. We don't live in wooden houses. Our ceilings and external walls are made of reinforced concrete. ;)
