How to Setup Streaming Mixer with OBS - Maonocaster AMC2 Neo

- Hey guys! Here is a video on how to setup a streaming mixer with OBS. You can actually do this with pretty much any audio interface, but I am using the Maonocaster AMC2 Neo, which is a $60 budget audio interface designed specifically for live streaming. In this video I show you how to setup a scene in OBS using this streaming mixer and I also give an example of how you can record a video with OBS and do a screen recording and also bring in your webcam. I think there are benefits to using a physical mixer for your audio because you don't need to bring up the digital audio mixer in OBS everytime you want to do something during your stream or recording. I love this interface but I'm struggling to connect my studio monitors to it. I thought I could connect them to the stream out input but it does not work. Any advice?
4:45 I'm on Windows and my Maono does not show up. It only shows Mic/Aux as existing.
What if the c2 neo doesn't show up as an option, besides as Headphones or speakers?
It is supposed to show up as an input device also. Maybe try turning it off and on or maybe even try restarting your computer and see if it shows up
have u ever had an issue to stream your music and try to use "side chain" button? because whatever i do it didnt work for me. all other buttons works and i can record/stream but the side chain button. btw i can hear that on my monitor(apple 3.5mm headphones) but as i said pc or c2 caster cannot stream it somehow.
Hi just to check, when you have side chain on, it should lower the volume of your music when you talk. If it is not doing it, maybe try turning your mic volume up a little. I'm wondering if the mic is too quiet maybe the sidechain won't know to duck the music. As for not being able to stream, do you have the large center knob turned up?
My gain and aux knob was almost about 2 or 3 oclock and also stream knob around the red-green limitation. I can clearly hear my voice on monitor. I wrote and e-mail to support. Btw i followed your obs setup steps.
i dont have this mixer. I've been looking at this one, i have my audio input capture set to my maono pdx200 mic. i usually plug my head phones into my desktop headphone jack. if i got the mixer what would my audio output capture be set too?
does it have real time monitoring??last maono product I got had a delay

Hi, what is the output from your DJ equipment? Can you go out with a 3.5mm aux cable?
What if you’re using an external capture card? Meaning would I still connect the mixer to my pc or does it connect to the capture card?
capture card is for video, mixer is for audio. those two has nothing to do with each other's line. each of them has to be connected to the pc separately
@@Ericopiero ah okay, thank you for that, still new to this so I’m trying to figure out how to maximize stream quality right now without breaking the bank and it seems this would be worth it.
How to use Neo in pc Adobe audition
I haven't used adobe audition yet, but from what I have seen, you should be able to go to Preferences > Audio hardware > and then for your default input and output you should be able to select the C2 Neo and then press ok
So I have a maono mic but it’s usb, and I use obs. It there a way to still use this without a mic directly inserted into the maono amc2 neo device? I didn’t realize it had the type of mic port when I purchased it.
As far as I know, you won't be able to control your USB mic with the amc2 neo, however, I think you should be able to add 2 audio input capture devices in OBS. I also have another idea if your USB mic has a headphone jack on it. You can try going out from your headphone jack into the c2neo. Like maybe you can go 3.5mm cable to XLR or even a 3.5mm to 1/4" cable. Hopefully one of these ideas helps
Omg you replied! I never saw a notification! So I bought a maono xlr mic because I had it saved and it went on sell. Yippee! But I need a serious audio tech brain like you haha! I’m desperately in need of help. I’ve had a ton of audio issues and obs issues and my brain is overloaded with the same videos over and over and nothing helps. I don’t know if I just have stuff step up completely wrong (which I probably do) or if something else is the issue. Is there anyway to speak via discord. I know that’s a long shot to ask, I’m just so at my wits end and would really like my stream to be smoother and understand the stuff better. If not it’s cool I totally understand 😅. Please help!
