My UA-cam channel is only a year old... Just as you explained in your video. And I have spent close to $4000 in total setting up a gaming PC and now a 2nd streaming PC and I'm having issues routing audio between 2 PCs for my gaming streams and came here. Everyone else on YT recommends $600 audio mixers and I just don't have that type of money to spend after finally upgrading my PC and just having a new born and all. Pretty much all of my money I made on UA-cam went straight into my gaming PC and what you are saying is spot on... I literally only need to route gaming audio to my stream PC and a USB mic and that is it.. I don't need an Elgato setup worth hundreds of dollars for that... Do I want one ... YES 😂 but do I NEED one... NO ... I'm going to just settle for something cheap and simple and go from there. Excellent video as I literally just came from 4 other videos saying and doing exactly what you spoke on in the intro. MOST people don't have a lazy $500 just to spend for something that can do a simple task for a hobby. My UA-cam channel is by no means my main income and the money I have spent on my gaming PC is far too much as it is. Nice video man 👍
Yea, I was super fortunate to find a steal on a rodecaster duo on my local market place which solved many problems for me, but I could have used the fifine and a bit of ingenuity to accomplish the same thing and saved several hundred dollars!! Thanks for the feedback and kind words brother, best of luck on your youtube journey!
Trust audio reviewers over streamers when it comes to audio gear budget or expensive I made the mistake of listening to youtubers/streamers and they got ridiculious takes
I just did a video on mics in the same regard. "Here is the ****$25 mic but I am going to tell you everything about it talking into a SM7B". Mental. Great Video brother
yea, theres a large gap between reviewers reviewing $40 audio products using mics that cost 10x more, all my recent reviews have been trying to showcase various budget options through expensive options to give an idea to the potential buyers what can be achieved. maono and fifine are fantastic price to performance products imho, thanks so much for the feedback!!
Great video. I absolutely agree on the purpose of these products. These UA-camrs seem a little jaded. I have this Fifine combo and they are fantastic. I appreciate your video and the work that you do. I’m now a new subscriber.
Hey thank you so much! yea i can understand when the bigger youtubers start getting the 500+ dollar shure, rode and dji products for free, its easy to crap on the budget stuff, but this budget stuff fills such a large gap and performs exceptionally well for the price, its also a great gateway drug into the hobby 🤣😅
What I should have taken more into account (and didn't realize until post) was running the sc3 at such a lower gain over the g1 neo, there was almost no noise in the recording, where the g1 cranked all the way up had a tonn of noise which had to be fixed using the noise reducer. the power advantage the fifine has is pretty enormous if you have a high power dependent mic like a mv7 or sm7b.
@selw0nk you will need a fethead or cloudlifter to power the sm7b with the g1 neo. I’d go for the mv7x (xlr only version much cheaper) and a fethead. That will sound as good as an sm7b at half the price, you won’t need an upgrade at that point unless you upgrade to a rodecaster later down the road.
it really depends on what you need, if you need nosie reduction (say your room isnt rtreated, echos/reverbs, or you have4 people around) then the g1 neo will be your best bet due to its hardware noise cancelling. if you wwant the best sound and scalability, i think the fifine has better amp in it, use less gain so picks up less noise and gives a better signal. other than that just a aesthetic choice really. oh, the fifine is a bit cheaper too!
We need more budget friendly audio gears in the market and that's what we are doing atm. Thank you for the video YOUKAY and we and other Chinese manufacturers appreciate your support. (This TSM jersey looks really great.)
I just got the fifine and for my use case its absolutely amazing it allows me to use headset speakers and mic withought having to change audio settings 13 times to switch between them, huge for me cause im always switching between headset and speakers
Hi, thanks so much! I believe the pd400x requires 40db gain so the G2 should be more than plenty, I would say if your ever looking for a 50-60+db gain mic, I'd go for the fifine for the headroom. Good luck!
Hey man great video! I wanted to know whether I would be able to power Behringer XM8500 with either of these interfaces. I had an audio interface from Mackie but it died on me so I wanted to buy a new cheap interface and both of these are pretty good value propositions.
Hi, I'll start by apologizing for my English, I'll try to explain myself as best as possible, I would like to buy one of these 2 mixers, initially to use on PS5 and then move on to PC, My girlfriend and I have 2 nearby workstations, so we would like clean audio with good noise reduction, so as not to overlap the voices and make them sound double, which of these Two in your opinion is better, the video is very clear even if I'm not the best with English, so I congratulate you, the best video on these mixers that I found, so to conclude, In your opinion, what is the best option?
Hi, thanks for the lovley feedback! so as far as noise reduction goes, only the maono g1 has a hardware option for it, if that's the deal breaker go with the maono. depending on the type of mic you use and its position in the environment with determine how much noise your mic will pick up, a dynamic mic close to your mouth will offer good off axis rejection and only pickup whats infront of it (fifine AM8 mic is great for this!) however, the fifine seems to have more gain in its preamp so the less power you have to use to push your mic the less gain you can use the less background noise you will pick up! Don't forget, noise reduction can be done in realtime via software too, OBS offers filters for it for free, as does nvidia broadcast if your using it on a PC!
I currently don't have any IEMs to test, but with my sony xm5's I think the fifine sounds cleaner with a bit less delay, you'll get a tiny, tiny bit of delay with monitoring with the maono, though to me its almost unnoticable, to others its a big deal breaker, quality wise, they both sound the same without any issue of noise or hiss
Sorry mate, I have no idea, I checked the specs and it made no mention of ps5 or other console compatibility. I know the fifine sc3 is plug and play as a usb audio device on the ps5 though.
@ yea specially for a beginner or anyone thinking of getting in to a new hobby. The price is at a good entry point. I’m thinking of getting one and giving it to my son. If I don’t like it or end up taking it serious and need a more professional set up.
Maono is way better than the sc3… I have the amc2 neo that is the same as the G1 and the Bluetooth and the side chain is a better option under the sc3… and you said is better the volumen … well maono has volumen + gain , so because of that I really recommend more maono, remember not because is the more sell is the best , greets!
hey, some time ago you said you could check some samples of my mic, i just arrived home from travels and recorded small saple, its should be in your email inbox already :)

I used both and I like the Maono Caster G1 Neo more because the Noise Reducer, Side Chain and Bluetooth Connection. I still love my FiFine K688 ❤

dude i use the same microphone (k688), which mixer should i get, i feel like i need one but still confused to decide

Seasonal allergies and wildfires, i have bad sinus and been a bit under the weather. will be back soon!!!

🤜🤛 keep up the great work at fifine, we appreciate you guys!!
I bought fifine mic with arm but it cant be plug in my fifine sound card. Is there anything i can buy to be able to connect it
I am using G1 NEO now. It is very easy to use and very friendly to beginners like me.
good stuff, yep, their simplistic nature and affordable price makes either choice a fantastic option for beginners!
I just got the fifine and for my use case its absolutely amazing it allows me to use headset speakers and mic withought having to change audio settings 13 times to switch between them, huge for me cause im always switching between headset and speakers
yea buddy, its an awesome little mixer / interface especially for the price!!
Great review. I am leaning toward Maono G1 Neo primarily because of my Maono mic PD400x. Do you know if G1 Neo is powerful enough for PD400x? Thanks
Hi, thanks so much! I believe the pd400x requires 40db gain so the G2 should be more than plenty, I would say if your ever looking for a 50-60+db gain mic, I'd go for the fifine for the headroom. Good luck!

Should be fine with either interface mate with a decentish xlr cable!

how is the audio performance of both using iems? Any his or disortion or white noise in either?

G1 Neo is quite decent if you have the right expectations.
exactly!
Does the g1 neo work on ps5
Sorry mate, I have no idea, I checked the specs and it made no mention of ps5 or other console compatibility. I know the fifine sc3 is plug and play as a usb audio device on the ps5 though.
real talk my g. Most mfs here only care about the commission and push the extra bs on kids. 🤦🏽♂️
yuuuup, while this stuff isn't the best on the market, its certainly not the worst and more than serviceable for 90% of most peoples needs!
