There's channels I watch every day, and never subscribe. So how is it I watched 10 minutes of this and knew I must never let youtube's algorithm hide this from me ever again.
Not only do we have long-range thermometers, but I remember seeing a DNA experiment kit for children for sale in an educational toy store. Some of that future is not so far-fetched...
I like to see what people of the past thought the future would be like. Now that we are in their future, I wonder what the future from this point in time will be like.

Westinghouse - You offer your kids food before the guests??? No wonder the world is so screwed up. If they had only known about digital! The Oldsmobile with camera mounted on it, with a camera man! Lol! Surprised the car didn’t tip over! The last bit though was proper foresight!
@@Oldbmwr100rs His book "July 20, 2019 - Life in the 21st Century", published in 1986, is an interesting read. The date July 20th, 2019 is exactly 50 years after astronauts first landed on the moon. He died in 2008, so he would have seen his communication predictions come true with the advent of the internet.
The wall of light that also cools in summer and heats in winter... Can anybody fathom just how that was supposed to work? "Not on the market yet" indeed! 😂
3:48 "In the future, everyone will have special glass helmets stuck on their heads, and Donald Trump will be desperately trying to take his helmet off."

I wonder if U.S. diplomats will be excited to hear about the new ccp long range rectal thermometer to accompany and enhance the effective diagnostics of the rectal swab...?
You know, the Letterman segment was a parody of predictions about the future. Not to be taken seriously even though we do have long range thermometers now, in the world of the future.
At 21:10 so much half-truth in that seemingly amazing ad. It says the robot-made dishwasher was made in the most advanced dishwasher plant in the world. Truth: the factory was built in the 1950s, but rapidly retooled with robots, using the recession of 1982 while the workers were absent. The robot method's advent meant workers at that plant lost hundreds of jobs in the next few months and years. It was the first step in GE "Neutron Jack" Welch's policy of ending opportunities and turning cities into rust belts. But the ad frames this as the hope of the future. Never believe a corporate image ad.
To be fair, most jokes go over Dave's head these days unless it's about some conservative politician's teenage daughter. I remember when he used to have GOOD writers.

That's enough! David Letterman was never funny, EVER! How he managed to keep a job has always alluded me! He was tacky and crass and just plain stupid. His writers were even worse. Maybe he was part of the beginning of the Great Decline which has befallen us now. It's too bad that Westinghouse never created a sidewalk or other system that would turn unwelcome people into a french fry! NO HONEY! NOT THOSE MOVIES! THOSE ARE FROM OUR FIRST NIGHT ON OUR HONEYMOON!!!!! Totally electric houses would be possible if each house had its own fusion reactor! Otherwise, uh, NO! In 1948 that hydromatic transmission was an expensive option. Now, manual transmissions are an expensive option. Weird!
So happy you're still at it. These videos help ground people who are losing their minds. I say this from experience.

Westinghouse really nailed it. As a man, the weather control center is definitely my favorite part of my Total Electric Home.
brain implant
Especially if it lets you control the weather outside.
What!? NO Light conditioners?? Bahhh.😜
joe dirt every Father's got one!
Every aspect of your home powered by electricity .They forgot to bring up
1. Electric bill
2.what happens when the power goes out
I can't wait for those planetariums in each house, and the bar-b-que pit in each living room.
Well, I bet you 99% of your home is already powered by electricity anyways
That last part about remote surgeries is already here. Whoa.
Like psychic or just electronic remotes
Remote Viewing
No - like machines doing the surgery controlled by the surgeon.
Life was SO CHEESY and delusional. Now we are on the brink of STUPID. Thanks, Sleepcore, for the fun!

WALL-E
Wow. Love the 50s era ring doorbell.
The long range thermometer would’ve been handy in 2020!
A lot of countries that actually embrace 21st century technology use thermal imaging scanners
The ad @2:10 where she caresses the applicator head with a finger and some cream spurts out. Nice.
🤣🤣🤣
