(The orange growing in seconds while customers watch was a scene reenacted in the 1964 film, THE TIME TRAVELERS!) Paula Zahn looks a lot different here than in later years. Interesting how the male host pretty much could pass for someone today, while her clothes and hair instantly reveal the era this show was broadcast. Mostly accurate predictions, especially the whole realm of computers being both behind new benefits and new dangers.

The funny thing (in a dark humor kinda way) is that we all dream of a future where "greed & profit" won't dominate & restrict growth & evolution of our quality of Life. We all want to just Exist but Greed gets in the way of allowing people to just Exist and find creative ways to live our lives. Our current society is very dystopian if you really examine it. We should have such Better qualities of living then we currently do...
When I was in college like less than 15 years ago, I did undergraduate research with solar panels for part of the year and I didn't know anything about solar panels and they made everything seem NEW and IT'S COMING, now I feel stupid but I don't blame myself I can't help it I am here and nobody ever wanted anything else for me than to just be stupid and see what happens but look at what all the people can do who we care about or who are naturally better so solar panels give me that exploited feeling now

It's fascinating these people don't yet know about GPS, facial recognition, the Internet or even cell phones, that they still think faxes and smoking are cool.
GPS was a military secret, the Internet while extant, was something used only at the university level or by corporations in-house. Facial recognition was not yet possible. Faxes were the technology of the times, the fastest manner in which to send a letter person to person, and growing less and less expensive at a rapid rate - as were in-car radio telephones.
It would have been so nice if people would have remained well manored and polite and kind and ungreedy. To have all these things where people were like they were in the manors generation would have been beautiful.

We’ll Mazda called their version the MX6, but Ford was planning on replacing the Mustang with their version. Needless to say the Mustang aficionados lost their shit when they Found out LOL. So Ford called their version the Probe and kept the Mustang with just a styling refresh. Those same Mustang people are losing their mind over a Electric Mustang SUV LOL
