Awesome review, got mine yesterday, totally worth it. I went with hapticonnect for the simplicity, you can connect it via usb so doesn’t interfere with my headset and the support for non racing games like msfs and ets/ats.
I’ve only exclusively used SimHub. Worth buying a coffee for the dev for the pro version and learning how to setup the channels you use to output effects. Side note: I’ve noticed my led volume lighting has started to not turn on fully on the gp amp showing only part of the number. Annoying but does not warrant rma (yet).
I love it on iRacing. I even use it on Elite Dangerous with the splitter side of Hapticonnect, really hope they add that game to their Flight Package because it would be perfect. I even use it for Final Fantasy XIV, it's awesome when you feel the punch of the attacks in game, though you'll want the music part low.
Seen your reviews for a while, love the channel! Thinking on getting a buttkicker (but I am completely new to the buttkicker world) and saw also your old reviews of the minis too. How does this Gamer PLUS compare with the minis? Maybe a comparison of them could be a great video as well, I am still very lost on so many options they have on their website. Thanks again and keep the good work!
Fantastic review. I'm still hesitent, because I'm not sure if my neighbors downstairs would kill me, I live in a new house with thick floors though. Does it make sense to use it for dcs, star citizen and other fps games?
Look at simcommander instead of hapticonnect. It’s been around longer and is far more mature. Also, but kicker is fine for a seat or pedals but for chassis you might look into just buying cheaper transducers and amps from someplace like part express in the US and equivalent in the UK or elsewhere. Butt kicker is nice but overpriced unless you catch a great sale.
I have just ordered this for PC use, im not totally clued up on using software simhub etc, so i will start with hapticonnect and see how that goes. I mainly play ACC which is one that you say isnt great unless on simhub. On the haptconnect site it had last update was 13/12/22 i presume this is after your review being month old review. Have you tried Hapti since last update ?. Great review and made my purchase easier with your in depth stuff.
I've only been using SimHub since that review. There have been a few HaptiConnect updates that I have installed, but I haven't retested the software. I also use SimHub for its dashboard features, so it's more optimal in my circumstances just to run SimHub.
Enjoyed the review, you get all the cool toys! Pretty lame they charge $5 per game to use HaptiConnect software though. For $300 usd they should all be included.
Unfortunately I quit watching when I saw your comment. Doesn't matter how good it is. I will never buy.. Buttkicker reminds me of iRacing. Not a chance.
I watched the review knowing i had no interest in buying it. Jeremy has a bunch of other videos on this channel showing how to use bass shakers with mini amp for way cheaper using Simhub.
@@kennykrobs6935 love the channel, watch them all. This is on ButtKicker. I love his old stuff on making your own. Watched some of them multiple times. Nothing but kudos to Jeremy!!
Another question for you or anyone, sorry. The buttkicker plus is a month old ebay uk jobbie, now thats already been registered with hapticonnect so not sure i can register again. will it work just with simlab and not downlaoding haptic at all, as im sure ive seen that you have to have haptic software no matter what software you use, thanks
You don't need an audio splitter for ACC. That's only for games that don't output effects. And indeed you can download HaptiConnect and register for free and use the audio splitter feature. The free version of software just let's you do that.
Was fun while it lasted (just over a year) but it died and only option is to buy another amp! Seriously? just over one year of use and thats it? it's not cheap, so I am extremely disappointed in the product. It was treated very well, set up once and never moved. Reached out to support, turning off and on didnt work and now Im on my own. Unless you are falling backwards into money, don't purchase!

I just built a cockpit and this is the only thing I'm waiting on 💪

had a couple of buttkickers... but changed to smaller pucks in my chair. The noise (for a nightracer with partner) was too loud unfortunately.
I’m lucky wife sleeps through paddle clicks, gear shifts and tactile rumbles lol. But I don’t find it’s all that loud if you use moderate levels.
I’ll never forget my first impression of the gamer plus after selecting a vehicle and feeling the engine turn over in GT7 🤤
Was wondering if worth it for just GT7
@@peterwood2633 yes.....yes.....yes it is!.....works with simhub
I live in a appartment and I have plp under me. Anyone know if its still worth to get one and turn it down a lot?

The minis are very similar in size and capability. The Gamer PLUS has a weight inside that is just 1oz heavier than the minis.

If you want something that will completely dampen the sound look into slip-angle four corner shaker kit...if you have a rig

Ok thanks mate I may have to get in to it if haptic not what it should be. Just trying to keep it simple
is it better than Dayton audio bst 1?

I totally agree, for the price you're paying, HaptiConnect should include all the games.
Especially considering a 3rd party sw works better than the one from the manufacturer

You don't need HaptiConnect installed at all, you can use SimHub. It's just simply alternative software for the same job.
@@SimRacingCorner ok only in your vid at 13mins 45 ish you elude to having the audio splitter as windows cant do that, or have i got that wrong too.
