Absolutely amazing Glad2Teach! Truly astounded and love how you include a step-by-step walk through with the audience. Though I'm not going to lie I had to rewind a few times to fully grasp the concept, just listening to what you were saying consistently helped me understand the equations going on in your head. Amazing! Keep teaching good, kind sir. :)

Thanks for posting a well worded comment.
There are certain things that would not go out of fashion or become obsolete. One of them is "human intelligence". Our calculation speed is the measure of our mind's sharpness. For this very reason "calculators" are prohibited in exams (esp job/entrance related where one candidate has to be chosen over other)
I am not the one who has set these parameters. I am just helping students to play by them and succeed in life. Shahryar (Glad2teach)

Dear Cvelador , thanks for your comment. I have nicely explained my technique of Rainbow Multiplication in the other EasyCal Video you would find on this youtube channel. Please watch it.
To learn the Base Method in detail you can visit the glad2teach website (link given below the video above ). All the Best

Dear HimJustin, thanks for the compliment that I am above average .. :)
I indeed pickup three Digits at a time and hold them long enough till I can add them to the next set of 3 digits.
But if you closely hear my calculations, then you would realise that I am adding one Digit at a time ( thus you hear so many numbers coming out of mouth so fast ). This is done by using my EasyCal technique called "Jumping Up 10s for faster Addition "

Dear fullbloodedfilipino, glad that you liked this presentation. I am not a Human Calculator ( just a teacher of Mathematics from India ).
I teach these simple techniques in Schools and Colleges. With little practice students can master these techniques and become fluent with Arithmetic. I have developed a similar program to master Algebra as well.

Glad that you pointed that out. Being a spontaneous presentation at school the camera was not calibrated to expose for 'black' pen on 'white' board. It was the proverbial dilemma of camera person " how to expose for black crow on white snow ".
The purpose of this seminar was to motivate the students and it was served well. Shahryar Badar khan

Dear Milad, thanks for giving me so much respect.
I very humbly accept that I am not a born Human Calculator. To help myself crunch the numbers faster I have created my own techniques of faster Mathematics. It is somewhat like spiderman stitching his own spider suit .. lol
As a Math teacher I try to think out aloud while doing my calculations so that people know what is going on inside my head.

Sakutala Devi is know for quick addition and multiplication faster than computer more than 2 decades ago.ITt is not about fast that matters ,these are down to experience and tricks to finding quicker ways once you are familiar with the numbers .Thats what enabled Ramanujan to come up with two ways of adding square to make up 1729 when his mentor GH Hardy mentioned to him about the numeber of the taxi.I have seen my late father in his fifties could add 3 digit numbers up to 40 without error.

Dear DrTalk1, thanks for posting a well worded comment. I simply 'read' the numbers and let my brain process the number data. This happens effortlessly (as you can see in the video).
Our brain is nothing but a biological calculator. Mathematics is the mother tongue of all human brains by default. Unfortunately the formal Math education imparted to us makes us lose this instinctive Mathematical ability by making our brain severely dependend on pen/paper to think.

I am a 14 year old male and you are really great. I love math and I actually know how to do any two digit number times "11" very easy in less than five seconds. Also, how to do any two or three digit number times itself AKA squared. Another is any two or three digit number times itself three times AKA cubed. This can be done in 10 seconds or less.

A valid point. While I have shifted my position on the matter to a rather neutral one (neither for nor against either side), one must remember that Einstein was never good at mental calculations (including the ones shown in this video), even at the peak of his adult career. I respect and understand your opinion however. :)

do you have something similar to this except for those of us who need to take Statistics (to earn college credit) and absolutely are terrible at all kinds of math? I am just horrible at math. I failed Geometry in high school and I still carry that shame so naturally, I am terrified of taking Stats which will probably be just as bad and probably even harder.
