Thanks for correcting. There are two typos. I hope the concept is clear anyways. :) 1) 67x 125 = 8375 (1/4 of 33.5=8.375) 1) 25 x 66 = 1650 and 25 x 68 = 1700 average is 1675
That is not true. I used even numbers to make it easy to understand. Now lets see. multiply by 5------67 x 5 = 335 (half of 67 is 33.5) Again, 67 x 25 = 1675 (1/2 of of 33.5 = 16.75) 67 x 125 = 8375 (1/2 of 33.5 = 8.375) Now it is possible that you may find it very difficult but you can do good approximation like this by choosing closer even number. 5 x 66 = 330 which is close to 335. this way you can get an idea. For exact calculation 25 x 55 = 1650 and 25 x 68 = 1700 average is 1675
Maddikera praneeth ..if the number is not divisible 2 exactly...is your doubt right.....trick is simple 5 can be written as10/2 .so divide the odd number with 2 you get some form like x.5 by multiplying it with 10 point goes off..eg:if it is 43*5=(43/2)*10=21.5*10=215

Nice video but you could have explained why we divide and multiply by these numbers. For example when multiplying by 5 we divide by 2 and multiply 10 because 5=10/2 Similarly multiplying by 25 we divide by 4 and multiply by 100 because 25=100/4 Multiplying by 125 we divide by 8 and multiply by 1000 because 125=1000/4 Multiplying by 15 is a bit different in this case. Check out the Trachtenberg System of Basic Mathematics and you'll see how to do long multiplication fast and in your head. Anyone interested in this might also be interested in the 1089 problem. It's quite fun
An easier way with 5 is simply to half and double. 46 x 5 is the same as 23 x 10 = 230. Tricks and short cuts are good...but only if you know math sense and number association to begin with. Telling kids to 'add 0s' doesn't make them aware of what numbers they are working with and what they mean. Too many kids today are following formulas but not doing enough mental math and have math awareness.
So are you saying it's better to know what 9999*9999 with your stupid methods compared to fast easy methods? You don't need to understand numbers or the roots of a trick if there is a easier method. Shut up you aren't even smart.
multiply even no by 5 unit digits of Q are ends with 0 and odd mulitply by 5 unit digts of Q are ends with 5 insted of putting 0 for eg: 123*5 first step 123/2 gives 61 Q and R 1, when ever you get remainder 1 in odd no putt 5 in the unit digt of Q so the ans well be 615 another eg 873 *5 first steps 873/2 gives Q 436 and R 1 then put 5 in Q unit digt so the ans will be 4365
No need to add anything when multiplying by 15 Just your method: divide by two then multiply by three then add a zero. Much easier, if you first add the zero and then multiply by three, because of odd numbers. E.g. 63x15=? 63/2=31,5 -> 315 >x3 =945

I think you are great teacher but no finds that you're multiply with even number....try with odd number like 63,67....
Best trick seen up till now
Please, what are you using for apresentation? videoscribe? Table digitaliser? Pen digital? Thank you teacher!
Hey dude what kind of apps are you using for the screen recording
man I am a student and it saved me a lot of time in maths exam thnx man
how can you do odd numbers divided by 2 and multiply by 10
I never new this... thanks for the idea,,, but I also wanted to know who developed such ideas.. are they newly developed or we just discovered now

thanks for the trick sir.
but i do get bugs on solving with odd numbers
what should i do ?
Suryakant Soni Even numbers are easy to explain but does not mean trick do not work for odd numbers.
For example, 65 x 5
65/2 = 32.5
Answer is 325
Thnx I'm still in elementary this helped a tom
@@laramie123 Or instead of 65/2 we can take 64/2 = 32
32×10=320
320+5= 325 ( Just We Add That One 5 Which We Removed In 1st Step)
odd numbers also same priyanka gupta.. hemalata n others u can try. simple
thank u for the video..... its very helpful...please post some videos to teach divisions easily to primary students
In case of odd number how can we do....??? As for eg. 83* 5
u r taking only the even numbers. is it applicable to odd numbers also?
YES ! if u do 63 X 5 = half of 6 = 3 and 3= 1.5
THE VALUE = 31.5=315 .... DO NOT TEST MY VEDIC BRAIN!!!
If the number that we take is not divisible by 2 or 4 then wt should we do
U told that in the multiplication of 5 we have to divide the no by 2 then how can we multiply 71*5 or 5 with any odd no?
+amitt chakrabarty I used even numbers to make it easy to understand. nice job man, loved the video.
sir can you please tell how do we calculate square root of 0.9 by division method
what about for odd numbers..in d examples above u everytime using even numbers that seems to b easy to calculate..please gives us some method to solve wid some odd numbers..
+shivani kapahi Odd number is also same. 31 x 5 = 16.5 x 10 = 165
thnku ..also give some examples
Garg University that is wrong 31×5 is 155
Nice idea !

66 x 15 = 990
68 x 15 = 1020
average = 1005 = 67 x 15

half of 6 is 3, and half of 7 is 3.5, so half of 67 is 33.5
33.5 + 67 = 100.5 x 10 = 1005
or
67 x 10 = 670

dear sir when 17×5=?
awesome tricks! thank you so much
Md Safi ullah what?
Md Safi ullah I'm just a kid
Does this apply to pumpkin carving?
It fails there :)
Sir if the number is not divisible by 4 then what like. (25×50)
This one is easy
25 x 50 = 50 x 50 / 2 = 2500 /2 = 1250
If you want to use this method
50/4 = 12.5
Answer is 1250
Garg University. thanxx sir ... is this method only limited for even numbers???
No. Please read other comments
Garg University. thanx sir i got it 😊....
o yes!....it follows.....so its better to go thru even number followed by an approximaion....will be better.....
i have learn a lot..thanks
this is usefull no doubts, my question is how o fast multiply 58*96*78=?
does it work with odd numbers? for e.g 91*5
Never mind, looked at the comments
oh, but then what about 71*25, will it still work?
***** Nice
its very helpful but if it is a odd number what we doo>?
same
Same drill.
Listen to what the video says
i love study .book is my best friend
17* 125 how it s work ? We cant divide 17 by 8 ?
You can try to use a different technique, just like 1700 + 425 = 2125.
Here 425 came from 1700 / 4 = 425
17*125= 2125 (this is mentally calculated). How?
Divide 17 / 8. you will get 2 as quotient and the remainder is 1.
Multiply the remainder by 125 and put the result after 2.
Suppose 83 x 125
10/3*125
=10375
this is for only even numbers but how to do for odd and prime number s
Thank you for sharing.
it only uses on even numbers not on odd numbers. But it's very nice.
And also a nother trick can be multiply the number from the first one then to the second one easy
worth while !! thanks
This one took me, 3 seconds in my head
Hello...
U said fast calculations with any number.
But u shown only even numbers
why should we divide
hi if i want multiply 23*5 then how we can find it here 23 is odd
half of 23 is 11.5 and answer is 115
Thank you.
Sir,how about prime nos
for odd numbers 23*15
Flawless trick
can u multiply odd numbers with that 5 25 125
bhuvan indian yes you can it is just a bit more complicated
For example 175 x 5
175/2 = 87.5
87.5 x 10 = 875
k very ginues and ur r very nice good reply to comment
bhuvan indian no problems and good luck with your future studies
thanx alot it realy help alot in finding ans quickly
Good teaching
Thank you
if anyones windering why did he use all even number in the five you probably ask yourself is it only for even and the answer to that is no you can multiply odd number too this how you do it example 81 × 5
all you have to do is to alf it so 81 bacomes 40 you see that i left one will go there in just a second so you have 40 so you put in the first number so 40_
now stop right there you probably put zero no put 5 in it so it 81×5=405 so that how to do the odd one
IN CASE OF 125 *5?
+laneur fema 125/2= 62.5 answer is 625
If the number is not divisible by 2,4and 8 what we should do
Use The decimal it's the same m8:)
What about odd No's??
what about odd numbers
To multiply any number by 5, all you need to do is to multiply it be 10 and half the result - I assumed that most people knew that.
i don't get that part. :( please explain it to me clearly. Thank you!
For example, if you need to multiply 75 by 5, first multiply it by 10 by adding a zero - 750, now half 750 and you get 375, which is arguably quicker than the conventional way.
is it possible for every number
+Banu Priya U.Sidda Reddy yes, its possible for every number include odd numbers for example.
3 *15 = 45
3 + 3/2 *10
3 + 1.5 *10
4.5 * 10 = 45
Rocki like 87*5 = 43.50 Sir in this I add zero not possible get right answer I think u say that for odd number we mutlply 10
akash singh There is 2 way to do it first is divide number by 2 and then multiply by 10. Or multiply by 10 first and then divide by 2. see example below.
87*5 = ?
first option:
half of 87
half of 8 is 4, and half of 7 is 3.5, so half is 87 is 43.5
43.5 times 10 is 435
second option:
multiply 87 with 10 and then divide by 2.
87 add 0 = 870 now divide by 2
half of 8 is 4, and half of 70 is 35, so answer is 435
what will do when will divide it by odd no
we read comments
i have figured the multiplation with 5 and division with 5 myself
27*15=?
its helpful sir thanks for the video
thanks for sharing
very good class
Muntiblay (Multiply) XD
its tough for me to use during commericial..
useful for students for there entrance👍👍👍👍👍
Its only five but we want all the numbers multiplication in 1 second
Really cool!
thanx siir!!!!!!!!!
I used even numbers to make it easy to understand.
you fail 67x 125 = 8375 (1/4 of 33.5=8.375)
I always do this methode for 15 and 5 it was very fast on exame
how to solve it 2056*987 by quicker method.
67 is prime Number -__-
did this tricks works on Prime Nos.? :(
very nice
Super youtube is presenting good thanks
thank u very much
Thank you so much for sharing this trick !
