I think your scrubby video is the one I can follow the best. One sided, short and sweet, and I can come back to time and time again, which I need to. Maybe if I make enough in a row I’ll remember the pattern without checking. I am trying to make a bunch for family members.
This is by far my favorite pattern for this yarn! It’s the perfect size, and the use of a smaller hook makes them a bit more sturdy. I especially like that they are left single! It saves time and money! To me, the double ones are overkill and cumbersome to use. Thanks so much for taking the time to share this with us! ❤
Excellent tutorial! Really easy to follow with useful tips. Short, sweet, but full of information. And thank you for not having music playing in the background!
Thank you for a scrubbie I don’t have to make two sides and join. Super easy and I am an old person who hasn’t crocheted for awhile. I commend you for your very precise instructions and keeping it simple. Just what I needed. Keep it up.
Made my first scrubbie. It wasn't completely correct but it was a start. Your video was perfect! Very informative and slow. I'll keep this one for me and try again. Thank you. 😊
I got the "fuzzy" scrubbie yarn and while keeping track of the stitches was a bit more difficult due to the fuzz, this pattern still worked wonderfully. I probably made some mistakes but it still looks fine and works great so doesn't really matter. Thank you much for an actual simple pattern.
I love this pattern and it’s so crazy easy. I am using a magic circle to keep the middle from being so big. After weaving in the ends I’m carefully burning the end of the thread. It helps keep it from unraveling over time. I smoosh it flat with the lighter. Keeps its from unraveling too
I’m not the biggest fan of a magic circle. I think this was one of the best scrubby videos I’ve used to make a scrubby. But I may try burning the end. Can I use a match?
I experienced this with the orange color but not the lime color. The lime color ball that I bought seems like it’s shinier and stiffer than the orange ball I bought. Maybe feel the yarn at the store. The stiffer ball may be better than the softer feeling ball of yarn when it comes to laying flat. Also, I found when I adjusted the stitches, stretching and shaping the piece to lay flat as I was working the pattern, that helped with it laying flat better too. I enjoy this pattern and yarn better than any other scrubby yarn I’ve tried.
My guess, since I came to get the pattern & haven't done it yet, likely it is being worked too tight. I don't think a larger hook will matter, try just 'loosening' your grip on the yarn some. Hope that makes a difference!!
I have a bigger hole in the first circle, can't seem to get it as tight as your scrubbies, but they are fun to make, I guess they don't have to be perfect.
Love this pattern... Been using some for about a year that we made. They work great on dishes and nonstick cookware... I throw them in the dishwasher a few times a week and they never smell moldy. Love them! Tried using it, gently, on my face and it was too abrasive. But I have really sensitive skin. Haven't tried them in the shower, but on my sensitive skin, I think I'd rather use a cotton yarn for shower scrubbies. This pattern works great for cotton ones too :)
I know I’m a bit late to the video but if there is anyone who sees this that could help, I don’t know if my scrubbies are big enough they are really small, the distance from one end to the other is only 2 and 1/2 inches, it’s really tiny and I don’t think they will sell being the size that they are, I’m using the same yarn and a 6mm hook but it isn’t as big as hers?
Do you have to block this kind of material? I tend to crochet tightly and mine is kinda trying to curl.. Any suggestions? I have finished it so I am asking because I want to make some more with less curling action. LOL
Hmm that's weird. I wouldn't have expected this material to curl at all because it is so stiff! You could definitely try blocking, or maybe go up a hook size since you crochet tightly.
My counts are off: should I have the complete round (20 or 40) BEFORE I work the slip stich, or do the 2 sc in the slip stich count toward the finished round (of 20 or 40)?
I have to say thank you. You are the only one making one sided scrubbies and it's easy. Thank you again!
My pleasure!☺️
@lauradoyle1111 - Excellent observation about it being one-sided! I like that they are! 🙂🙏💙

I’m with you. If I follow a video with double sides I just stop at one side.
Well said!

Oh this was sooo good for me a beginner. Thank you❣️

Me, too! I agree.
These look cool. I love that color.
Thank you! It’s my favorite color!
I’m on a scrubby and dishcloth/washcloth crochet binge now too! So glad I found you!! Will be looking for more tutorials! Thanks for sharing! 💕🤗
Cool!! I will be releasing more in May!😁
So easy! Thanks!
Yeah, you’re welcome!

That’ll give you a different look but it definitely still works! And great for hiding mistakes too😉 Glad you enjoyed the pattern!
Lovely well presented 🎉 thanks

Thanks! Burning the end is a good idea!
@xanonsunsol - Thank you for the much-needed tip! I'm definitely going to try this technique! 🙂🙏💙

@@seaglasssparkles6910 I use my stove after I make 4 or 5
Great tutorial!
Thanks!
I have some of that yarn but haven’t tried it yet. Thanks for the tutorial.
Perfect! You’re very welcome 😊
how do i tie it off???
Not sure why but I'm following directions EXACTLY but I've tried twice and can NOT get it to lay flat
Same here! I did 3 using different hook sizes. The 5.5mm looks best, but still curling quite a bit.
Just place something heavy on it for the night and you will have it flat 😊

I like the pattern
Troubleshooting help. Mine doesn’t lay flat? Did I make it too tight?
I came here to try to solve this problem too, I hope she checks back on us! @desertblossomcrafts

I had a question can I used H/8-5.00MM crochet hook for this project? Thanks ❤❤❤ I love your work
@blairheiner6413 - Yes you can. In fact, a size H/5.00MM hook was used for this tutorial. 🙂🙏💙
@@marilyndenham7039 oh ok thanks you very much I love your work great job!!!!!👍♥️😄
Does the scrubbiest actually work well for dishes and/or showering with? Can anyone describe how useful these are?
These scrubbies are best for dishes! The yarn has a rough, abrasive feel, so I definitely wouldn’t shower with them. But great for cleaning!

Hi! Mine were 3”, so your tension is probably just a bit tighter than mine. You could go up a hook size to help with this if you’d like!
Do your hooks come in letter sizes, too? I think I’ve been using an I hook 5.5 mm.
I ended up just making my own pattern that better suits their purpose. Love the pattern and thank you for a wonderful video!
Super easy instructions, thanks!
My pleasure!
Anyone know of a lefty version of this video for beginners? 😅

I would go up 1 hook size or even 2 ..
I’ve seen videos where the tutor says it’s normal to curl. When I finish it flattens out.
Can't hear it.

Can you please tell me what brand of hook you're using in this tutorial?
