I really like where templar is positioned right now in terms of pvp class tier. They had fallen from grace as they used to be able to trade blows on par against dk, but now you really need to put work into it to make it shine. It really do make you standout as a templar dps when you surprise pikchu face people with damage output they do not think still possible.
Glad I found this video. Been getting back into eso and more specifically PVP now that its not a laggy disaster and wanted to respec my stamplar into a magplar. Luckily this is a fairly simple swap without a bunch of gear chasing for me
Thanks for the updated Magplar, Hex!!! Plar is my fav class and I've been hurting in the recent patch--great to see someone bring back the classic setup (I haven't cared much for the ranged plar). Which of your recent setups, MagPlar or StamPlar, do you feel is stronger? Also, which do you feel is easier to play for a big-thumbed neanderthal like me?
Thank you for your support! I would highly recommend going the MagPlar build the healing is just too insane and the return damage is just as good and easy to do, and don’t worry I’ll be adding potential 1 Bar build versions in future videos!
It depends what you’re looking for if you’re looking for the sweatiest build ever no, but what this build is very great at is being super easy to pick and play and actually does a lot of damage, very easy to burst pugs and heavily pressure sweats
@@XCharizard100mech ach + strangler mythic is BiS for magplar open world, u can get 9800 SD, loads of sweats using it on PC EU. With balorgh 500 ult + 9800 you csn melt anyone
Thx for video. Tell me, please, what ping are you playing with? In the intro, can see how 8-10k damage is flying at you. But your hp bar will remain unchanged. This is a crooked netcode or something else?My Teso doesn’t work like that, no matter how much I heal (ping 120+) 0:22
great build but there's a big oddness in my case: i'm a high elf and you're a breton, which means i miss the 130 mag recovery and gain an additional 258 damage buff. however, you have 4900ish spell damage, almost %40 crit. i'm a high elf but i have only 4033 spell damage and around %25 crit chance. i use the exact same equipment, enchantment, skills, buff food, attributes and champion points as you. how is there such a big gap between our spell dmg (900 dmg gap), also our crit chances (almost %10 gap)? am i missing something? help me out please
Are you using the Spell Damage Crit Potions? That gives us 20% more spell damage and 12% spell crit, also casting the bubble also gives you 10% more spell damage, also casting an Ulti at 500 will also give an extra 500 w/s damage, also Rallying Cry can only proc in PvP that’s an extra 300 w/s damage
Now doesn't that mythic ring have to have 2-5-piece active at all times to get 200 weapon and spell damage and double the resistance or am I missing something here. Are you just doing it for the 100 weapon and spell damage and the small amount of resistance. If so I think ring of wild Hunt would probably do better cuz speed is mitigation. Steer me in the right direction if I am wrong because I am newer to the game than you
So you are understanding Markyn wrong, the beauty of Markyn is that you only need at least 3 pieces of a set active to proc the 100 weapon/spell damage and 1,157 resist stacking multiple times So for example we have 2 main sets a front bar and back bar set up, on our Front Bar we have 5 pieces active BUT we still have a 3 piece active from our back bar set so that’s 2 stacks at all times on both bars granting 200 weapon and spell and over 2,300 armor, and vice versa on our Back Bar we have 5 pieces of our Back Bar set and 3 pieces of our Front Bar set still active proc’n Markyn twice still granting 200 weapon and spell damage and over 2,300 armor, I hope that makes sense
Run “Puncturing Strikes” and morph into “Puncturing Sweeps” to heal for doing damage and use “Rushed Ceremony” and morph it into “Honor the Dead” as an emergency heal
That’s the tricky part, if you have some CP you can slot “Siphoning Spells” in the red cp which grants Magic back anytime you kill an enemy, if not then just a Lightning and heavy attack for resources, and then grind 2W by just having an ability slotted or after you hit Lv50
THANK YOU for saying you don't like javelin. Everyone running the jav/meteor combo and it's whack. Javelin ccs but then you have to run twice as far and by the time you get to them they're already up. Charge is where it's at. Honestly can't play play without it.
Fair point, however I will say that one the funniest things to do is to knock somebody into lava or off a cliff with a javelin. It just makes me so freaking happy.
Do you mean running it front bar? 2W is better than Destro but Destro is an alternative I would recommend a Sharpened Lightning Staff with an Absorb Stam Enchant on the staff
Oh trust I love my Resto whenever I can work it into a build, but an Ice Staff gives access to Ele Sus which is basically 6k pen and other status effects it’s just too good to pass up, so unless you have access to Major Breach like DK Noxious or Warden Shalks you should run an Ice Staff
Is this build still viable? I just came back to the game. Played a while back when my buddy got me into it as a healer (pve) up until CP 250. I came back and now im looking for a decent solo pve templar build i can swap out to for pvp, but havent rly found anything in depth enough yet. This is the most in depth ive seen even showing where to get gear so im following this build, just wondered if its still viable. Also, im on a high elf, does that change anything?
Yes this build is most definitely still viable! Templars got a huge buff so their pretty nuts rn, High Elf is good but your sustain might be a little rough if it is run an extra Reduce Mag Cost jewelry enchant
Hey welcome! I have a new updated MagWarden build coming out next week hopefully, but I do have an older patch MagWarden build if you want to check that out
@@Hexapug It was 20% for both. Deadly was my go-to set for pvp for -years- before all the nerfs/changes. Now I'm back to using my old New Moon setup, haha.
It's just New Moon on frontbar, either on Imperial or Khajiit. Paired with a backbar proc set of your choice (I usually go with anything that boosts weapon/spell damage) and a monster set, one trainee piece, and a mythic. Though if I'm using the Markyn ring I might swap the monster set and trainee out for three pieces of a five piece set (either to boost armor or damage) so the ring gives that last extra 100 damage and 1.3k armor (or however much it is.) Side note: if you don't care about crit, you can combine Deadly Strike and the Malacath ring to boost DoT and Channeled damage by 31%. Pair that with something like Clever Alchemist, damage enchants, and Group buffs and you'll have nasty raw damage output. Just gotta remember to have good penetration, too.
You do have that nice 258 spell damage as a High Elf so it off sets well, I would run Bewitched only on a Breton I was barely able to sustain on a Breton

Honestly the jav/meteor combo is much better on a range plar where knocking them back isn’t anywhere near as detrimental. That’s how I use it anyway
