YES YES YES YES YES THANK YOOOOOUUUUU Side note, as someone returning to multiplayer for the first time since 2001 it would be cool if you did a lets play where you take advantage of the multiplayer side of things like doing tristruns and baal runs to level a char the way most people these days online do. I am currently going through relearning this via the community since there isn't a document about how to do it and it's been interesting to say the least. Always love these lets plays, would love to see a Frenzy barb or Werewolf druid leveler. Thank you for the content.
Im really enjoying the fire druid right now. only need a vex for flickering flame and my build is complete. At first i was sceptic about the character changes because it would be so much differant from the old school but they really did a great job making D2R just as fun and even better. there are so much new viable playstyles i cant wait for all the guided playthrough's to come
Lately while leveling I've been playing "support class" builds. My druid is a shockwave and summoner, just one point in bear lycan and shockwave etc. It makes gameplay incredibly safe with + to skills I have a 9 second stun. My second favorite class through normal and nightmare was the static field sorceress, fun to run into a room and static the entire room at once especially on baal runs. Let people with very bad dps even be able to one shot the rooms.
I loved my fire claw bear druid a lot in vanilla. It was awesome even with mediocre weapons, without hurricane or cyclone armor, or bugs like this. I finished hell with 3 x shael'd Aldur's weapon easily and was hella fun. I never understood Llama's dislike for bear form.
45:45 as someone who played a lot of UO, the game had a decent crafting system and it was extremely chill. Just spending a few hours sailing around the coast mining ore up off the cliffs by Minoc... occasionally murdering others for their shiploads of ore and sailing off. Or crafting scrolls for people's use. One of the big key things that drove the economy in UO is that you could lose all your stuff. If you died in UO people could either loot the stuff off you, or your corpse would decay away and it'd be gone that way. Getting new stuff wasn't too difficult and really to farm up gold all you needed was a 5g spellbook, reagents, and a copy of Death Bolt and you'd be off killing daemons pretty quickly. Or a lute.
Hidden damage or not that skill still works well on enemies like those exploding undead dolls and seems to have been balanced for that sort of use anyways. If you can find one of the items that proc his elemental skills though those probably overlap onto whatever is caught by shockwave pretty well too. Mauling the Celtic priesthood back into all those demons, beasts and undead is too good to pass up no matter what gets chosen
@@RickBomhof well the 2.4 patch states that dmg per level is increased significantly for Ravens. But it turns out, it can beat normal. So building a Summoner Druid is easyer that way.
@MrLlamaSC thanks for yet another guided playthrough. One suggestion if I may. How about splitting the video into sections by level at which the character currently is? Or at least leaving in the description the exact times when the character levels up? I guess this would be super helpful when you are playing on your own and not following the video minute by minute, and you just need to know what to do with the next available skill point and attributes at any given level, say 10 for example. Currently when you're watching the video and jump a bit further, you can't really tell the level at which the character is, unless you are lucky enough to jump to the exact moment when the character levels up. So having those level up times, or as I said, having the video split into sections by level would really help a lot.
@@thenuclearrabbit Yes, I can imagine.. Either take notes when playing and write down the exact moments when leveling up, or review the whole thing later on.. Perhaps not that much work after all, but definitely not just 5 minutes...

These variation build play throughs are so much fun to watch. It's also a really fun build because of the skill variety along the way without having to completely switch gear to be effective. That just makes this one of the most fun builds to me to play through the game with. But eh... your fourth waying, there's an easy way to know which way the summoner is. You just walk along all four paths and check for a book and floaty signs :p That's where the summoner will be. Then you save and exit and 5th way it every time ;) No more 4th ways :p
I like to imagine the Druid is a super vegan and his poison creeper comes from his intestines so its like being strangled by a forceful poop vine don’t you love tHAT?!
2:02:38 "very laggy today" that is because the poison creeper stuff destroys your frame rate. open a cow game and use the skill a couple times you will see what i'm talking about
I had no idea Ladder was harder than normal D2R: "Ladder enemies get 3 buffs: 17% more defense, 33% more hp, and their AI all act like unique mobs do in non ladder." !
Mephisto doesn't seem all that impressed with poison attacks. Maybe instead of Fury the werebear should just have Grip, a skill that allows it to rip stones from its surroundings and throw it at Mephs head for 30 physical dmg each. I'm not saying it would help much or that it should, but it would give you something to do while being stuck in a room with Meph for a small eternity :p Or maybe a sudoku skill to bide some time :p It'll let you whip out a chair and let you play sudoku on your phone while "waving yer hand arround like you're some kind of a Jedi or something". Also, seeing the bear trying to grab Meph's junk at the end there is kind of... How shall I say it? I don't think the bear and Meph are gonna be great friends anytime soon :p It's kind of insulting to be honest. I mean, Look at Mephs bottom half... I can see the problem, but for the bear to just make fun of him like that by pretending to not be able to grab on to anything, that is just mean :p "Oh! I got something! Wait... no, that's a tentacle." Poor Meph :p First the unbeatable vine and then the bear adding insult to injury. Just awful :D

Then the advice should be: never talk to a person on the phone -- what _are_ you thinking?
this is bull... are you playing a bear build or poison and then fire? why dont you finish hell and then respec? in play-throughs there should be no respecs allowed!
If anyone is wondering what that formula in the beginning means: every level of shockwave above 1 will increase damage by an additional 15%.
I absolutely love these let's plays. please keep making them
This build kicks ass... I hope they don't nerf it because shockwave druid needs love

I feel the same, haven’t played since like 2010
I like that the Druid gained a neat change of gameplay. Nothing for the Devs to revert.

I like how it is labeled as a shock wave build but really it's a poison creeper video.

Great stream. Cheers.
I heard creeper was buffed but dangaroni thats pretty spicy. And it stays at 4 second duration
Is it just me or does the vine seem to create more tendrils on the ground than it used to?
I just saw a clip on UA-cam the other day about this build where someone had it doing like 7k damage
Flesh render would be pretty good with it's plus to skills
Maxing out Ravens also a good starter, in normal they are strong enough to kill Baal pretty fast, without synergies.
