@@mariansmith7694 I was not talking about cooking terms and even with that it still applies! Obviously the Hillbilly Kitchen talks about God and I thought it was only appropriate!! Its called having as sense of humour!
When I make deviled eggs, i top 1-2 with paprika and the other half with curry powder. Usually the curry powder once go first. Deviled eggs are always delicious. Sometimes, I put finely chopped pickles in them. My husband loves the pickles in them..
Ma'am, I don't believe I've ever seen a leftover deviled egg in all my 66 years. Sunday dinners, holiday meals, family reunions, church socials--nobody sane leaves a deviled egg for later, LOL! Oh, I love the Hillbilly 10 Commandments sign on your fridge! That hits right home. --Dan
You got that right I even take him to the creek sometimes I make them just for the hell of it to have in the fridge I like crumbled bacon on top and paprika
My Mom use to top her deviled eggs with crumbled bacon or dill/sweet relish or fine chopped green olives or chopped ham.... EVERYONE LOVED THEM. I unfortunately cannot eat Mayo so I never ate them but everyone else was crazy for my Moms deviled eggs 🐣🥚🐥🥚🐤🥚🐣🥚🐥
One year for band practice, a parent bought angel eggs for a snack and included horseradish...they were a big hit with the kids and I've added it to mine ever since.
I started doing deviled eggs in my teens. I am 63 now. I've always done mayo, yello mustard and salt. I decorated them with black pepper. When I married my hubby 23 yrs ago he had me adding a splash of vinegar to my yolk mix. It's what his mother always did. So I do it now everytime I make them. Happy Easter everyone. May the Lord bless you and keep you.
I'm a 64 yo guy. My mom topped with paprika rather th an black pepper. I use more yellow mustard than mayo as l love the tartness. Sometimes I add a splash of vinegar. Sometimes I'll add bacon bits. I usually keep hard boiled eggs on hand and devil two whole eggs as a midnight snack when l get home from work.
When I boil eggs, I use even fresh eggs and the way I do them they always peel easy. I place the eggs in a sauce pan with cold water to cover. I bring them to a boil and once they are boiling I set the timer for 10 minutes, then I shut the burner off and remove the pan and sit it on the counter and let them cool on their own to room temperature. Then I take them out of the pan and put them in the refrigerator and let them chill overnight. When I am ready to peel them I hit them on the counter, first one end and then the next end, the turn them on their sides and tap them all around the egg 2 or 3 times, then roll them gently on the counter on their sides. The peeling comes right off very easy. If you can break through that membrane and see the shiny egg, then use your thumb and gently push under the shell and peel away. Works like a charm every time. I never use vinegar or salt or anything else in the water.
I use Miracle Whip Salad Dressing for a little tang and add about two tablespoons of sweet pickle juice. Paprika is sprinkled on top. God bless you and your family. I just found you recently and am blessed with your Bible references. My family and I are from eastern KY and prepare our foods mostly how you do. I Enjoy your presentations.
I love these deviled eggs. I make mine exactly like this but I do sprinkle paprika on top just for color. God bless you and your family and have a blessed Easter as we rejoice in the resurrection of Jesus Christ. ✝️ 🙌🏻
My little boy announced at an Easter Dinner at Church that it wasn’t right to give the devil the credit for. Anything as good as deviled eggs so he wanted to give them the name of Angel eggs, and in the town and the surrounding towns the name went to Angel eggs and where ever we have iced since then, he was four years old, now he’s 34 next week
He's absolutely right! I saw other suitable names too such as salad eggs, stuffed eggs and dressed eggs. BUT I like angel eggs the best. Please tell him "good job and smart thinking!" 💖
Good tip with vinegar in the boiling water! You can use a shallow teaspoon to help peel those reluctant fresh eggs -- just slip it under the shell and usually you can peel them right out, with no damage. That's a good base recipe. I like to add celery salt (instead of regular) and a dash of Balsamic vinegar. The secret ingredients. :) Also I like to beat the yolks up fluffy, if I'm feeling ambitious. Then eat them all. :D Bless you and yours. :)
Amen and Amen . God is Light and there is no darkness in him. Jesus is light as he is our Lord God. JESUS IS LIGHT AND LOVE TO ALL WHO TRUST IN HIM AND BELIEVE HE IS OUR REDEEMER. I love you sharing the Gospel on your cooking channel, we Christians are given a commission to share the gospel to all of the world. Thank you for your faithfulness to his instructions. Love the Devil Egg recipe, I love devil eggs. I have also added a small amount of Worcestershire Sauce to my eggs yoke mixture as seasoning , gives a great favor , looks strange because of the off color but taste good!🙏❤
Becky, I don't use vinegar and I don't crack them in the boiling water. Instead I boil them as usual but immediately put them in a bowl of very cold water with ice. The egg innards shrink away from the shell and they peel perfectly pristine every single time.
Thanks so very much for telling people how much God loves them and how Jesus died for them! Someone out there needed to hear that message! Also thank you for the recipe. It's the same as I make except for the instructions for easy peeling. I also like the idea of coloring the eggs! My own opinion is that they are good Any time! ❤
Love the recipes! My favorite video ever! He has risen! I love to see the light of Christ shine through you. I got happy and excited to hear you talk about Jesus! He rescued me so many times but 5 years ago He sent the Holy Spirit when I didn't deserve it but I prayed and held tight to my faith and I was delivered from from evil! He answered all my prayers beyond what I asked for and I have never looked back. I wouldn't give up the relationship with Him I have now for anything. Thank you for bringing great recipes and content that is inspirational.
Thank you, happy easter. We tend too make those with a bit of curry powder. Also very nice. Had a birthday party and made 80 of them... They did not last long.
❤. My momma added a tsp of sweet relish juice (juice only) and no mustard. I may try the mustard though 🎉 I also put my yolks mixture into a zip-type bag, and cut a corner and "pipe" the mix into the egg white. To me, it's just not as messy because I used to really make a mess with it all. 😂
It's been a while since I watched you but I have been under the weather. I pray that you have a blessed Easter. I agree but I say stuffed eggs because you stuff them with goodness. Add them to tuna or canned chicken and make sandwiches
👍👍👍👍Hi Becky ! Thanks for a great presentation. I personally miss the original Hillbilly Kitchen Jingle at the beginning of the episodes . Maybe I'm too old and not subject to change : ) . Have a blessed Resurrection Sunday to sing and gather to praise the Lord, as He is, our only hope. Stay safe in your travels Becky.❤-----------Michigan
Thank you for the recipe and video! I always enjoy watching you prepare delicious meals, snacks and desserts. Deviled eggs are one of my favorite appetizer sides. I add a tiny bit of diced pickle and a very small amount of curry powder to the mayo-egg yolk mixture, then top them with a sprinkle of smoked paprika and a thinly sliced stuffed green olive. They are very good treat to enjoy or share. Thank you again. Have blessed Good Friday and Resurrection Sunday. 😊💖🙏🏻
Hi Becky!!! I just boiled my eggs for Devil Eggs. I only use Spin-Blend and chop up a little onion and celery very small , S & P. Top with Paprika. I only fill them rite before eating them also... My dear husband ♡ hated mustard. I never cooked with it ever.Your eggs do look yummy. Thanks for the tips on here. HAPPY EASTER!!!...Great Video!!!...🦋
LOL I call them angel eggs! I don't give the devil credit for anything! 😉
In cooking, term "deviled" just means, it has pepper.
They're the 'Devil' the next day after consumption 😂

My husband makes enough so that we have leftovers. His are the best I’ve ever eaten.
I learned to make my deviled eggs from my Momma. She put a little sweet pickle relish in hers. I put a little paprika on my also.

I do all that and also because I'm a black olive freak done that to
I sprinkle them with paprika and a green olive on each egg.
Use greek Yogurt or Sour Cream in lieu of mayonnaise.
I have made them with a little sour cream to mix for a friend who is following a special diet. No Mayo. She liked them.
there may be fake mayo, a vegan version
