    is it just me or are real analog gauges just 200x more satisfying to look at vs the crappy digital displays they use nowdays?

      ViiV Creations they arent true analog gauges with cables, but step motors on a dial.

    GR, it's been a year, those bulbs still work? I've only seen this vid, what headlight assembly is that you upgraded to? they're good fit not loose, lights not melting them at all?

  • @WesleyG8857
    @WesleyG8857 3 роки тому +2

    I've got a 2007 Classic, and I installed low beams the other day. Not enough clearance. I ended up having to use a dremmel and cutting out holes behind them in the plastic to make them fit better. The head sink was just too large. I also had to remove my grill in order to put the headlight directly in instead of wiggling it behind the grill. They are a tight squeeze, but they do work. I still had to force them to get them in the hole I made, but once in place, they fit with clearance. And yes, your low beam driver side should sit slightly lower than the low beam passenger side light by design. It is this way on all vehicles to illuminate road signs on the passenger side, and to keep from blinding on coming traffic on the driver side. I'd noticed it before, but not thought much about it until I installed LED's.

    hows that radio working out? I just purchased a super clean 2003 2500hd, unfortunately it has a couple of blown speakers and the radio doesn't even have a tape or cd player lol. I like the stock look of those updated Bluetooth radios.

    • @graysonsgarage5157
      @graysonsgarage5157  5 років тому

      It's working fairly good, I may need to upgrade the my speakers since my best friend in the world loves to blast the radio when she hears a song she loves. But the radio itself works amazing, I love the modern Bluetooth capability with a factory looking radio, however, looking back, I do wish I had bought the 6 disc CD changer version with the Bluetooth feature.

    I was able to replace the flasher on my '06 Sierra a few years back without removing the knee bolster. Just had to reach quite aways back.
    I wish vehicles still had a flasher unit, instead of using resistors.
    The flash rates are now controlled by the BCM.

    Hope you can answer this please. I have a 2005 Silverado. My friend gave me a pair of SynteticUSA 9006 LED bulbs but they hit the radiator support cross member when I try to re-install the headlight assembly. Did you have any interference issues with the Auxbeam bulbs? I really hate to start cutting up my cross member.

    • @DonWilson69
      @DonWilson69 6 років тому +1

      I have a 2004 SIlverado and have the same issue, the fan on the back of the LED's have interference with the cross member on the low beam and vertical bracing on the high beam..

      Same here I tried cutting the plastic away and it removes the rigidity of the assembly now my headlights move when I hit bumps. I would not do it. I put all new stuff in there and went with hid lights and they fit with no mods.

      I did directly behind the low beams in order to get clearance for the heat sink. Still had to kinda force the low beams in to place, but once they fell in to the hole I made, they had clearance and work fine.

    Do you blind the oncoming traffic with those LEDs in your stock headlights ? I heard you need to buy aftermarket projectors so when you put LEDs they dont blind oncoming traffic.

    • @graysonsgarage5157
      @graysonsgarage5157  5 років тому

      I don't blind oncoming traffic with LED's in my stock headlight housings, and you don't "need" to buy and aftermarket projector retrofits in order just to run LED's, just turn the adjusting screw on the headlights to move the beam down slightly so the low beams won't blind any oncoming drivers.

    • @qualitylandscapeandhauling7942
      @qualitylandscapeandhauling7942 5 років тому

      @@graysonsgarage5157 Oh ok. I put some LEDs in my 2005 gmc 3500 dually diesel truck and it blinds oncoming traffic. Then I put LEDs in my 2003 chevy s10 and the same thing it blinds oncoming traffic. That's why I'm worried the same thing might happen with my 2006 chevy silverado.

    • @graysonsgarage5157
      @graysonsgarage5157  5 років тому +1

      Just turn the adjusting screw on the headlights to move the beam down and you should be good to go without blinding anyone else. It's always best to do it in from of something like a garage door.

      @stevenhorsefield2909 5 років тому

      My hid lights are 3 years old and still going strong. The only thing I don't like is high beam cause hid lights take a few seconds to come up to full brightness. I wish somebody made a nice shallow mount led bulb for these trucks so I can have hid on low beam and led on high.
