I'm most excited about being betrayed and basically lied to by MotionVFX. Why are none of you who are doing reviews of CineStudio addressing the elephant in the room? Look at the comments and the majority are bringing up this ridiculously priced subscription. Why are none of you addressing this?
Yeah, it's a hard pass from me - after paying them thousands over the years and they were hyping up the release of new plugins only to find out that it's subscription. Felling pretty betrayed.
Expensive subscription! Too bad. I dumped Adobe because of their move to subscription. Their justification doesn’t make sense. The real reason is to create a consistent reoccurring revenue stream instead of a lumpy version update.
Great video!!! This looks fantastic but unfortunately, the subscription puts this beyond my wallet as I simply cannot afford yet another one. Nonetheless, am grateful to companies such as Motion VFX however that continue to build for FCP on Mac desktop.
I am a big MotionVFX but this is out of budget considering that the subscription costs more than FCPX costs, especially for tools that should be part of FCPX and for software that Apple seems to have abandoned..
hmmm I like the other options they have on their page when you can just outright buy what you want. They have some great stuff on their page. Thanks for sharing.
My observation on FCP. For a guy who has a older Sony video camera and just wants to upload some videos, imovie might be good enough. FCP seems to be like buying a sweet car, but minimal option, it's all the extras that start making it sweet, unfortunately I can't justify all this $$$ layout to upload some videos to youtube. I'm still gonna give it a try since my MAC mini came with FCP.
The whole point i am using FCP is for convenience and avoid adobe's subscription model, i don't want to use any parellel flow, sub is a killer, one time payment like other plugin in way to go....
Hey Jenn! Great tutorial! In regard to Roto, you can drop the brush down to manual brush and you are able to make the brush size as small or as big as you want.
Yes! I meant for the magic wand tool- should have clarified. When I was selecting the tuning keys on that guitar I kept over selecting the area (I cut this part out of the demo for time) but still wanted the edge detection of the magic wand. I'm too lazy to do it with the manual tool 😂 Thanks for watching, nice demo reel btw :)
That was a good overview of the tools! I like the interface. The one part you glossed over was the subscription and pricing. Pricing should always be a factor in new tools like this, right? Neither in the intro nor the final review section (I don't think unless I missed it) did I see a mention of pricing or the fact that it's a subscription model, which is a significant departure for MotionVFX. Why did you not include that info in your video? They sent it to you early for testing, but pricing seems important in this case, don't you think?.
I learned a long time ago that pricing on this stuff can change so over time these reviews can become inaccurate, which can be both unfair to the viewer and the company.
The roto is amazing but it sucks that you have to pay for other fx that I don't need. There should be an option for paying for just to roto plugin for people like myself that don't need the extras.
How are they not seeing the community does not like or agree with the subscription model or if they going to do it it should be cheaper than pay quarterly or annual 20 a month seems fair
We prefer to have them as native features. I believe Apple management decided to outsource new features to the third parties. Bye Bye FCP. Welcome Da Vinci.
Which tool in CineStudio are you most excited about? Roto? 3D Tracker? Surface Tracker? Try it free here! mvfx.co/JennJager/CineStudio
Roto, because I already own the 3D Tracker packs. I want to buy, but it is an abo. So they get nothing
Roto - but way too expensive for me.

Agree, looks great. But, subscription model is a killer.
ESPECIALLY for fcpx users - that should be obvious

I just can’t take on another subscription. Looks great tho. Good luck.
Very interesting software but monthly subscription fees kill it for me I'm afraid...
Wait, so I can't get an update to the 3D tracker that I already purchased without subscribing?
Subscription… unfortunately…
Expensive subscription! Too bad. I dumped Adobe because of their move to subscription. Their justification doesn’t make sense. The real reason is to create a consistent reoccurring revenue stream instead of a lumpy version update.
Great coverage of these, and great video as always but then learned they were subscription….Ugg…I’m literally subscription exhausted

And boom! You already have a new subscription in your hands!
Totally agree with the shortcut to inspector, that would be so awesome!
subscription ...

I might go for subscription if it was under $20. Most of these tools are applicable once in a while.
Thanks Jen. Does it work with 360 footage?

Will it work with pre-Apple Silicon MacBook Pro? And I agree with most folks here. Ditch the subscription, Motion VFX.

It would be good if the film look plug-in could have adjustments made on screen instead of the inspector like how it’s achieved in cinemagrade
Wow!

$150 one time pymt. I’m in.

I think it's important that you guys voice your opinions on this. I don't know if they'll reconsider, but I'm sure they're hearing the feedback.
Nice, but only for professional users. I think a subscription is not worth (nor affordable) it for any hobby editor....
How are they not seeing the community does not like or agree with the subscription model or if they going to do it it should be cheaper than pay quarterly or annual 20 a month seems fair
Subscription pricing tho!!! Hell no
We prefer to have them as native features. I believe Apple management decided to outsource new features to the third parties. Bye Bye FCP. Welcome Da Vinci.
Yeah, let’s see what else they’ve got.
Very interesting but subscription model is not for me and I think this is not for any FCPX editors. Wrong politic ! What a pity !
Hey Jenn, big thanks for testing our new release and dropping that awesome review! 🙌🏻 The whole MotionVFX crew really appreciates it!
It Is To Bad mRotoAI And mTracker3D Are Only Subscrition That's Bull
Monthly subscription?!! Thanks for the info but got to pass on this one.
Nothing works for 5k pro rez files. Amateur stuff
Subscription? lol no thanks
I Need thisn
It's sick, right?
It's a rip off! People already paid for a lot of these plugins and the price doesn't even change? Only three months for free?🙄
