    This video has been absolutely mindblowing! I'm flabbergasted, every single tip you showed was new to me but of all of them, that multicam hack is so simple, yet so effective. This will save me tons of time in the future, thank you!!

    It is always so wonderful to hear your mellifluous and sonically pleasing voice floating across the North Atlantic towards the tartan embellished folks over here in snowy windswept Scotland. Your tips, especially the audio tips, will be most useful to us as we 'hack' our way through the Scottish country dance and haggis bashing videos we churn out over here. We are all very grateful for all your hard work. You are an inspiration to us all. Scotland LOVES you!

    Jenn, Thanks for another awesome video! I found the faking the multicam tip is a great hack...just wish I had found this about a year ago when I was editing some videos for a client and needed to add zoom in jump cuts. This tip would have saved me so much time during editing.

    This earned a sub (even though I thought I already had -- ha!). Really dig the multicam and marker/jump cut bits. What FCP really needs is optical kerning like Adobe has had for years (at least in InDesign -- never bothered with Premiere, so I don't know about that).

    Thanks for some useful tipe. As a graphic designer first (since 1986'ish) , your tip on letter kerning is really useful. Interesting, I have been using video capture for some time: usually as a teacher to capture clips for Media Studies (a perfectly legal use, of course), and also to 'recover' clips for clients! I too won't mention the software I use, but it works brilliantly.

    Another great video 🎉 I would love to see a video talking about export/share
    And what each option gives you and how to use them in different scenarios … for example, whenever I share my videos and then upload them to Instagram they always look really bad. I think it’s because I’m exporting in the wrong setting.

    something I don't understand,
    the jump cut to marker cuts the film short and the music is still in original length, that doesn't seem the cut point is going to match the original music you intended to make.

      In Motion? Just go to the top Motion menu/Settings, then in the pop up, go to Canvas, then switch the view from Alignment to Zones, and change the Safe Zones color.

    Simulated typing effect…awesome and will use for sure. Question: Is there a way to screen record scrolling, say on a client website for a clip in their video, so that it’s smooth? I edit on a MacBook and find it hard to scroll smoothly.

    • @JennJager
      @JennJager 7 місяців тому +1

      That’s a tough one. What I usually do is zoom WAY out of the browser window so you see more of the length of the website, take a screenshot and bring the image into FCP or Motion and keyframe on the Y value. You need to have a high res screen to get a decent image.

    I can not believe I completely forgot about using blend modes to remove black and white backgrounds. I use a keyer and color pick the background. Thanks for the tip!

    • @JennJagerPro
      @JennJagerPro  7 місяців тому +1

      You could also use the luma keyer for this too theoretically, but blend modes is def the way to go!
