    Awesome scape. Love his set up it's very similar to what I want to do. I think replacing the river rocks with some big chunks of seiryu stone would look amazing.

    Great video, really nice Iwagumi setup. Love the dimensions of this tank and the simplicity of it. My first carpet was pearlweed and this tank took me back, it's such a great plant and versatile but as he said it requires a lot of regular trimming.

    As mentioned in this video, Iwagumi is a subset of the Wabi-sabi definition by Mr. Takashi Amano. Wabi-sabi is the view or thought of finding beauty in every aspect of imperfection in nature. It is about the aesthetic of things in existence, that are “imperfect, impermanent, and incomplete” as per the Golden Ratio.

    Great vid! That's a really nice carpet, but it is a significant effort. I tried to do this with Pogostemon erectus. It looked cool but I eventually gave it up. I may give pearlweed a try to see if it is any easier to manage.
    Cheers,
    Chris

    Just love these 'against the "norm"' type of video :D
    Was wondering tho; do he really need Co2 in this tank? Pearlweed grows, well like a weed, and wouldn't no Co2 keep down the rate of trimming? Lovely tank notheless :D
    Love yer stuff :)

    • @TankTested
      @TankTested  3 роки тому +1

      I think the pearl weed would end up growing pretty “leggy” without co2 and wouldn’t handle heavy trimming as well. But honestly who knows, sounds like something to try out! 😜

      @@TheVoyagers. The plants used here grow easily without it. I just don't see the point of going through all the CO2 trouble for that beginner plant.
